Rate this book
Stella Bailey is a fierce, independent woman on the run from her crazy ex-boyfriend, turned stalker. Bitter about having to leave her life in the city behind, she heads to the snowy mountains of Idaho for solitude. Without technology available to keep her mind busy, she finds her thoughts lingering on her past more and more, until she meets the owner of the cabin where she resides and then her entire world changes.

But with the new distraction comes thoughts and plans about the future, possibly one with him... even if it means being willing to accept the secrets he keeps beneath the surface.

Brady Eastern grew up in a small cabin just above the hot springs in the Silver Creek Campground area. After inheriting the property once his grandfather passed away, Brady had enjoyed keeping to himself and letting the bear he had kept tucked away inside of him wander the woods freely. Life couldn't have been more perfect, until she showed up and nothing was ever the same again.

Brady and Stella will join together to free her from a past that was getting too close for comfort, and help her find the ultimate sanctuary.

First book in new series from Jules Tyler.

Following the break up and assault by her ex partner, Stella has fled her home in Seattle to the the mountains and security of childhood memories spent with her loving grandfather in silver creek.

Stella is searching for herself, a way to become the strong person she was. What she finds alongside that is a childhood friend. One who shared long idling summers and sweet childhood memories, until it all ended when her grandfarther and only family member passed away.

Brady has always wondered what happened to Stella, knowing she was important all those years ago. So when he stumbles across her in one of his cabins he is stunned. Reunited in past friendship they work together to overcome Stella’s fears. Until he has to overcome one of his own....that she will run and be lost to him again when she finds out his secret.

A beautifully written book about old friendship evolving in to new love.
The relationship between Stella and Brady was sweet and I thought the evolution from friends to lovers was done exceptionally well. Stella’s concerns were real... there is nothing scarier than putting you heart in the hands of someone else, especially for someone who has suffered a traumatic past and so in that respect I must commend the author on writing such ‘a real reaction’.

I really enjoyed first in series. The shifter genre is often copied and imitated but this author has tamed the beast, kicked its ass and made it her own....A DRAGON! 🐲🐲🐲

How sweet is this book?! Stella comes to a mountain retreat, where she used to go with her Grandfather, to escape her violent boyfriend. What she didn’t realize is that her childhood friend still lives there and has never forgotten her. Brady is one of the sweetest polar bears (can I really call a polar bear sweet?) and is trying to break it to Stella that she’s his mate.
I read this in one sitting, even though it wasn’t as action packed as some books are the love story is sickly sweet, but there’s still enough edge to the characters and the story to keep it from giving you a sugar shock. Besides Stella and Brady I absolutely loved Mama Ally, who reminds me of how I want to be as a Mom.
I loved it and can’t wait to see what Jules Tyler cooks up with the next one! I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An amazing love story!
Jules brilliantly depicts the struggles of a young woman trying to regain her life back after an abusive relationship.
After meeting her intended mate, she has a big decision to make and although Brady is very protective of her he tries to allow Stella the time she needs to heal. Even though her time may be running out Brady is determined to keep his promise, but will it be too late?
I couldn’t put this book down.
I love how the simplicity of this story differs from other shifter books I have read. Mama Ally is one of my all time favorite characters that reminded me of my own mother at times.
I’m excited about the additional characters introduced in this book and can’t wait to read their stories!!

Stella is a sweet female who has been hurt in the past by a 1/2 crazy grizzly shifter and now she is off at her old favorite place from her childhood a camp ground in the mountains where her grandfather took her. Brody her best friend from childhood and his mom run the place but they had lost touch years ago after her grandfather passed, but what she dosent know is all those stories that they told around the campfires about bear men and fated mates were true and Brody is hers.
this is an amazing read that will touch every emotion, and have you reaching for those tissues!
i received and arc of this story that i happily reviewed

Brady and Stella

This is my first book by Jules Tyler and a absolutely loved it!! I love shifter stories and this one did not disappoint. Brady knew Stella as a young boy and knew that he was connected to be but was to young to understand what it really meant. Life happens and Stella moved away, several years later she needs to take refuge from a crazy ex and goes where she always felt safe.
I really enjoyed the story, it flowed smoothly and kept me wanting more! One of my favorite characters was mama she was beautifully written! I definitely want to read the rest of the series!

Bear a licious!
This is my first story by this author and I loved it. I am not a big fan of paranormal genres but that’s ok because Jules had a way of bringing me in without scaring me away with a ton of shifter terminology and backstory. This was very easy to understand so therefore enjoyable. Now about the characters... Stella is apparently not your average thin female lead and for that I say thank you! I applaud you for stepping away from stereotypes and doing it without negativity shining bright. Brady on the other seems to not notice anything wrong with her size he thinks she is perfect and who doesn’t love Mama.

This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. The female lead was such a strong character. Stella had no family apart from her grandpa. Sadly he dies when she’s nine and ends up in the foster system. She survives a crazy abusive ex and manages to get away to a cabin where she spent her summers with her grandpa. She soon realises her childhood best friend Brady still lives there. Here in lies a brilliant story to be told, that even after all the hardships she can still find her happy ever after with the person she was always meant to be with. A brilliant start to a brilliant series. Now on to book two. Can not wait.

Great 👍 Start!

A great 👍 start to a new series. This is a standalone novel the first in an exciting new series. Stella is on the run from a horrendous experience and goes back to her childhood roots. Brady remembers his childhood friend Stella and has been looking for her for a long time. When Stella returns Brady is overjoyed! The reader will love 💘 the characters and especially Mama. Love 💘 this series already!

A very pleasant short read through KU.
It was very enjoyable but with a plot that has been done before. Last three shifter books I read were nearly all identical plots with crazy ex's.
Really sad about what Alaric did to Stella. Not quite sure why Alaric was so nuts.
Loved Brady and Mama Ally they were likeable characters.
Wondering if the boys Jesse, Landon and Tyson will be getting their stories too.
Will be reading the next book to see where it goes.

Phenomenal Story!!

I adored Stella's story!!! She was just so strong and brave!!! Picking herself back up and having zero support system, this female lead was just amazing!!! I adored the back story and do not want to say more because of spoilers but their HEA was truly heart warming!!! Jules writing just keeps getting better and better every book!! Keep em coming!!!

A Friendship that Starts in Childhood but Blooms in Adulthood.

Brady and Stella are everything to each other, innocently spending summers together at Brady’s family’s campground. Life goes on and Stella is lost to him, just when he comes to realize who she is in his life.

This is a lovely story that begins a promising series, by Jules Tyler.

This is probably my favorite Jules Tyler book to date. It has action. It has love. It even has Mama Ally, who is quite the character. She’s probably my favorite out of the whole book. (I’m hoping that she’s in the next one.)
