Enter a world where experimentation, new ideas, and creativity are against the law, driving those who refuse to conform into hiding. Bonney South hopes to one day reveal the truth and fix this world that she feels responsible for helping create; for now, though, she simply wants to protect those she cares about. But when the ones she cares about are no longer content with hiding, it will take their combined ingenuity to help people remember how to think for themselves while also staying alive. In the process, Bonney South will learn the most important truth of all.
Shows what can happen when we lose our desire to reason and blindly accept decisions being made by those in power. The need to pray for our leaders does not include things not in the Word.
Oh man. This book was a journey from beginning to end. The plot drew me in and held my attention throughout the whole book. It didn't feel predictable or like a facsimile of other dystopian books. The characters were unique and well thought out. The ending has a twist that I didn't see coming. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good story.
