Well, I never thought I'd say it but I've actually read a dictionary cover to cover. Not an easy task but I loved the artwork and the original characters created just for it.

OMG OMG OMG IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!

This book has arrived. The book has come to me. It is now MINE. And AWESOME. :D

Seriously, if aliens ever arrive on Earth and I have to show them something to convince them life on Earth is worth anything, I'll show them this book. Awesomeness condensed!

One thing: the people in this book have strange hobbies. And when talking about costumed super heroes and villains, I guess that's saying something. *g*

... Now that I've finished it, I can only say that this book was worth every cent I paid for it, and then some. Very, uh, educational and absolutely hilarious. One of my favorite books ever.

Quite a silly product. With dumb situations and even dumber ways to explain some English words.

However I must admit that it has been one of my favorite tools for English teaching. It’s simplicity and colorful presentation is just perfect for an introduction to the language.

I had this book as a child and quite enjoyed it. I plan on giving it away to another young kid so that they can get some enjoyment out of it as well.

Another so bad it's good classic that I give five stars on unintentional entertainment value alone. All your favorite (and more than a few not-so-favorites from the 70's) DC superheroes and villains act like complete lunatics as they try to explain what various words mean, even if they don't entirely seem to understand how they're meant to be used in a sentence. Though it's value as a dictionary is suspect, at best, it's one of the most quotably funny books ever written.

My wife got me a copy of this last Christmas, and it has held a place of pride on our bookshelf ever since.

As far as I'm concerned, it's Faulkner, Shakespeare, Tolkien, King, Pratchett, and The Super Dictionary. We can burn all the other books.
