A new enemy haunts our every step.

When a kiss turns one of my gargoyle guardians into stone, I'm determined to make things right. There's only one way I can save him. I must find the one who bound him to his oath and force her to reverse the spell.

But when we finally track her down, we soon discover that all is not what it seems. There's a darker power behind Jasper's fate, one that comes straight from the realm of the gods.

If we don't defeat our newest enemy, the entire mortal realm could fall.

An enjoyable addition to the series! I loved the new characters and how we got to discover more about the gargoyles and Ro herself.
The ending left things definitely more interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Here we are at the third book in the Protectors of Magic series, and in my opinion it’s the best one so far! This far into the series, I hate to say much as I don’t want to give away any spoilers to people new to the series, but will I will say is that there was more action in this one, which I loved. Not only that, the book had Ms. Wolfhart’s great writing and great characterizations, and the conclusion of the book was just so stunning! I love how everything has changed at this point, and we are finding out what is really going on. And, the romance has been ramped up, and we get to see the great love and affection we knew were coming. A nice bonus was included in this one: we got to see characters from another series! This was a engaging book that was hard to put down. If you like light paranormal fantasy with romance, you will love this one. Highly recommend! I was provided the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

This is the third book in the Protectors of Magic series and I have to be honest and say that I felt a bit like this book was rushed. Yes, I was glad that Rowena's relationships took a step further and they admitted their feelings. Yes I felt that we learnt a bit more about who Rowena is. But, there were a few situations where Rowena really irritated me. She made stupid decisions which I didn't feel was right for who she is. These decisions were also very obviously made to fill in the story and that disappointed me as I felt there was no point in what had happened in one chapter to the next.
I'm still enjoying this series and will read the next book, but I felt that this book was rushed and there wasn't much point to the story apart from moving Rowena's relationships forward. I really hope the next book is back to what I expect from the author, and I really am happy to wait longer to read it if it means more time is spent on the story.

Another knock out hit

Jenna Wolfhart is incredible. Another amazing book this series just gets better and better. With Jasper turned to stone and her growing feelings for her other guardian Eli, Row has a lot to deal with in this book. With surprise betrayals some hot steamy scenes loads of action and some pleasant surprises this book has everything. Need the next book though I need to know more about Alaric the gargoyle brought back from stone. Sebastian the jerk who may have a hidden soft spot for our heroin and Silas the brooding gargoyle who stays behind. For the first time I want the heroine to be with them alli couldn't choose between any of them. Brilliant RH story that I can't wait to delve more in too

Issues with Rowena

I know Rowena is young but I had hoped by book 3 she would start acting more like a goddess and less like a whiny child. Since she mated with multiple ancient gargoyles, one would also hope she would value their experience more and ask them for help instead of making so many stupid decisions..

Most Enjoyable in Series

I've had a hard time getting into this series, but this book held my interest. Although,I'm not sure how the Gargoyles or the Queen Witch didn't recognize the name sooner. It's in the Norse or Greek pantheon. I've been waiting for someone to figure that out. Finally!

I liked it, but it wasn’t fantastic

I’ll read the next in series to see if there’s a conclusion to this mess, but it’s not an especially exciting series and this book was a bit melodramatic and boring. There’s a lot of waiting and moments of intensity, but those moments are filled by quick summarization of how things gets wrapped up.

Eye roll

Such a good plot but the Mc and her stupidity and uselessness kills it completely. I have lost count of the times she’s made a dumb decision or done something crazy that her mates have to clean up. Let’s not forget the deals she keeps making that back fires every time. Ugh

New characters, new places, new adventures. Again I was impressed. I loved the flow of the story, the twists in the plot and again how Rowena grows with every new book. Well written, I really enjoyed to read.

I reviewed an ARC copy of the book voluntarily.

Amazing!

I am in love with this series and each book just makes it better. Rowena and her mates make a great story with all of the drama, intrigue, action and romance. It's all in perfect balance. The writing is well done and I look forward to the next book.

3/4

Not as good as the first two in my opinion. The dilemmas the MC faced in this book seemed to be solved far too easily but the little tid bit at the end left me excited for the final installment.

She

Crys all the time, Rowena. I mean she is meant to be the hero and she has not done much other than cry.
The mates part of the book is very lovey dovey and boring. No excitement that normally comes with it.
At least the story line is good.

End of the road

This is the end of the road for me with this series. The slow burn romance has just stalled out and I have !its interest.
