But soon Dupin realises that there is something sinister brewing, not only in the East of London, but likely in the very boarding house where he resides. Soon he is beseeched by Scotland Yard to assist in solving a plague of brutal murders, but beleaguered by horrific nightmares and dangerous memory lapses, Dupin soon finds himself unable to explain some of his inadvertently alarming exploits. Is he on the right trail while pursuing the so-called Phantom of Death in the streets of Whitechapel? Or are his very own footsteps leading investigators on the bloody track to discovering the true identity of the Ripper?
