Sienna Nealon has spent the last two months cooling her heels on the cloudy shores of Oregon, waiting for something to happen. Then one day, when she's waiting in a diner, it does - or doesn't, rather. Because time freezes, everyone around her stuck and unmoving, not conscious of anything happening. When it springs to motion again, Sienna knows that a day she's long awaited has arrived.
It's time.
In this twenty-ninth book in the long-running, million-selling adventures of Sienna Nealon, she finds herself traveling to Japan to locate the source of this trouble: Shin'ichi Akiyama, a man she met years ago, who promised they would meet again in his her future - his past - and whose power is to control the very flow of time itself. If she fails, Sienna won't just be responsible for the end of the world.
Because now...the fate of time itself is in her hands.
Robert J. Crane was born and raised on Florida's Space Coast before moving to the upper midwest in search of cooler climates and more palatable beer. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in English Creative Writing. He worked for a year as a substitute teacher and worked in the financial services field for seven years while writing in his spare time.
I didn't see that coming at all! Once again I am taken on an awesome journey with Sienna. Wholly cow, Kat a mom? Wouldn't have thought that in a million years. Total shocker. Thank you for continually giving this fantabulous tale. Keep them coming!
There is the usual snark (of course). There is the kicking of butt that one normally sees in the Sienna Nealon books.
But look beneath the surface - there is emotion, grief, loss and hope. Sometimes subtle, sometimes devastatingly raw, and sometimes, just honest.
Handled with skill (as always), those of us who are rooting for more for Sienna might see the small seeds of that here. As well (I suspect) as the teases for the next big drama. I will say no more because #spoilers. But this is more than just Akiyama's story. Much, much more.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
You’ve done it again! Sienna is growing up, and I’m loving it! She’s remembering what actually makes her the baddest meta on the planet, even without her souls. I’m definitely recommending this book to everyone! Great job Mr Crane!!!
Fans of The Girl in the Box series will not be disappointed. This book is loaded with superhero action goodness! Robert Crane is allowing the regular and semi-regular characters in the series to become more rounded, while still maintaining their yummy badass goodness. I love that Mr. Crane is letting his hero show her softer side and exploring her friends’ efforts to do their own superhero stuff. I’m very impressed by his creativity in developing and explaining what it is like to have certain superpowers, like mastery over computers, which sounds stupid, but is way cool. I love Sienna Nealon and I cannot wait for the next installment in the series. While this is not “great literature, “ it is worthy of five stars within this genre. Keep writing, Mr. Crane, your fans want more!
I had been really looking forward to this book and the return/introduction of Akiyama.
Sienna has had a couple of hassle free months so it must be about time for trouble right? Or double trouble where Sienna is concerned.....world ending and relationship drama.
Whilst she, along with sort of boyfriend Harry and the ever delightful Kat journey to stop time from ending, Augustus and Jamal have their own problems searching for the evidence needed to prove Sienna's innocence.
There are revelations here which looks set to make future books very interesting indeedy! I love the emotional journey our heroine is currently on and you have to give credit to RJC and his never ending imagination.
Another great read from Robert J Crane! A slightly older (in years) but considerably wiser Sienna returns in this tale that reintroduces Akiyama. We humans need the circle to complete, so great to find out the Akiyama backstory. New villains, old friends, new storylines opened (complete the circle RJC!) Excellent book, unputdownable (is that a real word?) Thoroughly recommend this read & all of Mr Crane's excellent books. Looking forward to Driven, already pre-ordered 😊
Absolutely loved this instalment, the author is able to keep the story fresh and exciting to the point that I’m dreading the day he decides not to write anymore. The series is so much fun to read and it makes it impossible to put down the books. They are action packed and full of witty banter that makes you literally laugh out loud, reading it public gains you more than a few odd looks. Keep up the brilliant work! I’ve already pre ordered driven can’t wait for release day.
I wish I could give a higher rating but like Vol 28, and before, page after page is being used up on useless prattle and not on the adventure itself. From the start of Book One - I thought things were getting off to a good start but somewhere along the line more pages were being filled with needless "Corney " comments and trips back down memory lane by all of the assailants which have no consequences on the plot itself. I do hope the rest of the books are not like this because it is ruining what originally started off as a classic winner. Stuart Batchelor
This book is definitely one of my new favorites. It has everything you expect from Robert and a new found love too! I'm glad to see this transition in our beloved characters while still seeing them be who they are at their core. This book has it all.. Butt kicking.. Action... feelz and of course some shenanigans along the way. Thank you Robert for a fun and heart felt book. Can't wait to see where our Heros wind up next.
This has been the most emotionally touching book about Sienna Nealon in the series. She is opening up and accepting help from her friends in a way she has not done before. This book made me cry in a few different places but it also made me laugh with some pure Sienna snark. Really looking forward to the next story in the series. I would recommend this story to any reader who enjoys witty repartee and some serious butt kicking action.
I have really enjoyed this series and i am quietly suprised that i have not gotten bored. I look forward to each new release and have started waiting for 2 books to be available to start reading again so i do not get the sadness when you finish 1 (sad but true). I love the development of the characters and i am waiting to see where they all end up. So i am glad there are more to come. It means i have something to look forward too...
An emotionally charged, dramatic, suspenseful storyline. We finally discover some of Kats lost story, live through dark, tragically sad past events and witness Sienna once again save the world. I've read the entire series multiple times, again each time a new book comes out. Recommended for readers preteen to death. Looking forward to the next book...and definitely already knowing the last book will feel like the loss of a great friend.
29 books into Sienna's story, and Mr. Crane still manages to keep it fresh and exciting with every addition. If you can't tell my the name, the story finally tells us how the debt Shin'ichi Akiyama paid back was originally accrued. More questions that have been niggling in the back of your mind have also been answered. Highly recommended !!
Another great 'Box' book from Robert. Apparently some people think this series has become stale, but I really don't agree with that. And I'm really happy to see the threads of a new storyline in this book, which means I'll be getting to read more Sienna in the future.
29th book and still growing strong. I’m always excited to read about the next adventure & I liked that Sienna had found a smidgen of happiness in this story. I also loved her friendship with Kat & the blast from Kat’s past was awesome! I can’t wait until book 30
So glad Sienna get back to her bad ass self. Loving Harry and Kat story and the Augustus and Jamal storyline, string up some more super villains. Love Sienna having someone just for her and that she's letting herself let him in. Excellent book, highly recommend (always will) love these books, thank you Mr. Crane.
Still need more of these books. Could read them over and over . sienna is still alone in a way only she can be, she's off to Japan to sort one problem out that becomes a few. Jamal and Augustus are pulled away from their work on a tip that could change everything in one easy minute. But is it real?
Yet another great book from Robert J Crane. It was pretty interesting seeing Sienna's relationship with Harry develop while dealing with the ravages of time being caused by Akiyama. Bonus points for the plot twist with Kat, also. Just when the readers think they know what's going on, they are proven completely wrong with the surprise trust at the end. Looking forward to the next!
Robert Crane definately did not disappoint - this book was AWESOME just like the rest of the books in the series. I will tell you that there was such a "WTH" scene towards the end that I just didnt see coming that added a very unique twist that I cannot wait to dive into the next book & see how the characters are coping.
Time is on the fritz & Sienna sets out to have her predestined meeting with Aki'yama. In Japan, her, Harry, and Kat find themselves followed by an Achilles gitting in their way of granting a favor that might stop time from ceasing permanently. Lots of twists and turns that completely erased any fears upcoming books might get boring. Solid five stars!
This was better than the last. I wish Sienna to take more for her and I know I am late to the party here. The books have already been written. I will read until the end. I just hope she gets some of what she needs in the next book. Her whole martyr thing needs some uplifting.
This series is nothing if not unpredictable. Every time I think I have things kind of figured out, the author throws a monkey stench into it. While I miss some of the characters, I like the movement of the series. It's a very good Kindle Unlimited series. I'm glad I found them.
And they are still amazing! Just when you think there can't be any more villains to stop, the world to save, Robert J. Crane finds more and he's not scraping the barrel either. Can't wait for this series to continue
Can't wait for more,I always look forward to the next book being delivered to my kindle. The twist with Kat and Harry I totally did not expect but loved it. I hope Siena gets her souls back soon !
I feel the plots are getting lighter and the books seem shorter. I did like the return of this character but was annoyed that the second story going on with the brothers wasnt as interesting and then had a lame ending.
I do (did) love this series but I feel like I am falling out of love. I think I miss Sienna's souls as much as she does. I keep waiting for her to get them back. I had high hopes Time would bring them back.
Beautiful! A solid story. A nice use of a new plotline that wraps up some interesting open questions. A nice way to setup the next few stories to answer a new set of questions.
This book makes Sienna more her old self from the first few books. Her edges are starting to round out and she is finally opening up, but she still is the take them down girl she was before.
Still loving this SERIES Once I started reading it I couldn't stop! It was exciting, it was sad,and very heart felt . Can't wait to see what exciting and thrilling adventures await Sienna and Harry, along with the rest of her crew of friends and Reed.
I feel that Crane made a little comeback with this one. I thought we would see her Souls come back with the aid of “time”. Maybe next book. I miss Wolfe the most. One good twist I did not think of and I won’t gibe it away. Enjoy
