FURBALL is the second tale in the fantasy series describing the adventures of the creative and mischievous feline, Harlely T.Katt. In this humorous short story, which precedes the exploits described in Paws in the Piazza, Harley explores and expands the range of his voice as a writer. Challenged by his human translator to experiment with other styles, including mysteries, romances and action adventures, Harley creates a rollicking blend of all three genres. In the process, he draws freely on the words and works of other well-known authors. Readers are introduced to his pals Lotta, Manx and Pookie, lovable characters with their own distinctive talents and foibles. Unlike Paws, this is a romp the nuances of which are directed at an adult audience, although older children may enjoy it as well.
