Just not my thing.

First book I read by sky winters and it will probably be my last. I didn't mind the insta love but the story line wasn't flushed out. H was not like able I mean really I thought shifters were loyal to their fated mate. Though he did come through in the end the book was a big NO for me. I tried to read 2 other stories in this book. But I just couldn't. Save your time and 💰.

From the summary, I was super excited to read this book. However, the sex started up right away, the plot didn’t make any sense, there were grammatical errors here and there, and as a reader there was so much that was omitted from the narrative. At first, the characters had so much potential but then everything went downhill. Plus, when you get the ebook, the page count is high, so you’re expecting a novel but the story only takes up 6% of the actual book. The other 94% is previews of other books, which also have grammatical errors and inconsistencies. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed and will probably not pick up another book of hers.

Supernatural mates usually have magnetism and that certainly happened but it is slightly glossed over. The relationship between the children and Anna was conceptualized well too.

This was such a delightful book, I just couldn't believe how things went. Each page flowed right through to the next page.
There was a slight twist but it came out excellent. Definitely a Must Read!
⚡Anna Clinton is a human working for Flintlock Investment Firm in New York. After quitting one night she received an email reading - LIVE-IN NANNY – GOOD PAY – FULL BENEFITS – IMMEDIATE START – DISCRETION REQUIRED from the
Silver Talon Headhunting Agency. Going for the interview, many things were required of her that all seemed to be weird. The money was absolutely unbelievable. But than taking her eyes off her new boss was almost impossible too. Was something fishy about this? It almost seemed too good to be true.
⚡Special Agent Jason Shaw is a Silver Dragon Shifter who works for Silver Dragons Security or does he? Jasons has two young children, who lost their mother about six months ago. He needs help since he could be gone for days or weeks at a time, needing a reliable Nanny to take care of his very good children. This mission that he has been on is the worst will he survive?
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Not great

Writing was flat. The parts I wanted to know about were skimmed over, while the less interesting parts got described in minute detail, sometimes multiple times. The end of Daddy Dragon felt unrealistic and a cop out. It might have worked better if the couple's relationship had actual build up.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

While I enjoyed Daddy Dragon there are some parts that actually leave me with more questions than I received any answers for. And, unfortunately, I cannot speak of those questions in this review or that would give away spoilers. So, an interesting story and you get the general premise from the cover description.

Anna and Jason’s story is one of intense-ness as well as some heart-wrenching betrayals. There are twists and turns galore that will change your perspective of just about everything. It is at times intense, definitely sexy moments, and a good story. It’s short, and the ending felt… not rushed but too short and abrupt for what was happening is the best I can describe the feeling.

In a way, it’s kind of frustrating for I’d really like to say more – but those spoiler possibilities loom rather large over me. I enjoyed my time in this world and will watch for the next story in the series. There are additional, unrelated stories within this book, which I did not read.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

This book is a collection of short stories and introductions to other books the author has written.

There are moments when I think the author is a good story teller and then she writes something that breaks my immersion in the story. for example, "She drags his fingers up his chest." Huh? His hands were busy elsewhere. Surely, the author means "her fingers". This type of error was common.

When describing a sunset view she writes, "... the reflection of the waters turned into a cesspool of colors. She wanted to jump in..." Apparently, the author is not aware that a cesspool is a covered cistern for collecting waste water and sewage. I can't imagine anyone wanting to jump into that.

There were paragraphs where the author forgot which names belonged to which characters. Sentences would have words missing or were unfinished. Overall, her errors were very distracting.

Wtf this book Was so bad that i still want to punch the writer in the face .
First : Why and how they fell in love ?
Second: Why she forgive him so easily ?
Third: don't you think we should know something more about them ? where they came from? Are they immortal ? Is he really in love with her ?? Too many questions no anwers at all
So don't spend any money on this shit

I received an ARC from the author and have agreed to voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Anna has just walked out on her current job in an Investment firm, right after her boss tells her she has a better chnce of advancement if she has sex with him...what a pig. Later, she receives an email from a Nanny Service and is offered a job. After the interview, she accepts the job.

Jason has a company Silver Dragon Securities, where he and some others are mercenaries for a very select clientele. Anna meets Jason and they talk about the job and her responsibilities. She also thinks he is the most beautiful man she has ever seen! She will be Nanny to his 2 children as he is a widow.

The first night on the job, Anna is restless and can't sleep so she goes up to the roof and sees something she never thought she would see, Jason turning into a dragon! She doesn't know what to think, is she crazy? seeing things? The next day, she and Jason have a talk...he knows she saw him on the roof. He tells her a bit about himself and it doesn't even freak Anna out, it turns her on even more! This is the night their physical relationship begins. Jason can't believe he has found his mate!

Will Anna and Jason acheive happiness or will Jason's secrets come back? Will she forgive him for his deception? Jason will have to risk his life if he wants Anna....

I really enjoyed this story! The writing has a nice flow to it and it was easy to read much later than I had planned on! I was enjoying it so much that I didn't want to stop reading.

Events seen to happen faster in shifter stories, must be that animal magnetism!, but Ms Winters did make the relationship between Anna and the kids realistic, which I appreciated. As it should have been, they were wary about her in the beginning since they didn't know her but she really worked at building a relationship with them, to get to know them.

I would love to read more about Silver Dragon Securities!

This was an okay story that could have been better. Sexy, unbelievable gorgeous dragon shifter who happens to be a mercenary hires a human, live-in nanny for his kids ages 6 and 8. After he realizes she's seen him shift he seduces her and they have sex on her second night there. He leaves on a "mission" while she sleeps and it turns out seducing and impregnating her is his assignment. In spite of everything they fall in love with each other and everyone supposedly lives HEA.

It had all the elements to make a good book but fell flat. During the first "love scene" she tells him "do it". Seriously, nothing sexy or erotic about the entire scene. It was about as exciting as her two words. So they did it. He was unbelievably huge but didn't hurt her - she took it all and loved it. Whatever.

She was kidnapped and it was stupid. Now there's a shadow hanging over them as another family vows revenge at some future time.

She has his dragon baby and they become a happy family of 5.

I couldn't even be happy for them.

Sky Winters has created a wonderful new series about shifters looking for nannies. This is the first of the series and in my opinion, it's gonna be a hard act to follow. Jason is the head of Silver Dragon Security and needs a nanny for his 6 and 8 year old children. However, he has an agenda when it comes to Anna. He's not happy about it, but it is what it is. When things go terribly wrong and Jason, Anna and the children are kidnapped by a spoiled, selfish, punk of a dragon, Jason needs Anna's help and the rest of his team to get them out of it. I thought all sorts of mean thoughts about Jason when I found out about his agenda, but changed my mind when all was explained. I did love how Anna didn't dwell on the bad, but listened to the escape plan and went along with no questions. I loved the ending and would love to have more stories about the Silver Dragon Security and it's members.

The concept for this book was new to me, but I don't feel it lived up to its potential. A woman is mysteriously contacted about a nanny job right when she needs to find work. Her last job ended in disaster when her boss expected favors she wasn't willing to give. This new job is very different. She is hired to be a nanny for the two children of a rich man who works as a mercenary. She will live in his luxurious apartment and, best of all, he is very good-looking if a bit mysterious. The attraction she feels for him is overwhelming, but he is her boss so nothing will ever come of it, right?

Story was pretty rushed but it does have a HEA ending.

Shifters needing nannys. I loved this book. the book flowed real well and brought about an interesting concept of a shifter needing a nanny. A very discrete service with a lot of NDAs to sign. But whats a girl to do when your boss locks the door and tells you how to advance in his company. You sign up to be a nanny, for a lot of money and benfits. But whats the catch? Anna was about to find out. Jason needed a nanny, but being a dragon shifter, he had to be discrete, until he hires the perfect girl and she catches him shifting. Crazy and dangerous thing start happening to Anna, a what a huge surprise when she finds out the secret Jason was keeping from her. Always a HEA

DNF 61%
MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I was enjoying this book until I got to chapter 8. I don’t care what happens during the rest of the book. I don’t care if Jason comes to his senses and realizes that he is doing a horrible thing. The fact that he would even think about doing what he is doing (let alone actually going through with it) is enough for me. I don’t mess around when it comes with babies or kids. What Jason is doing is absolutely despicable to me and I refuse to read another sentence of him leading Anna on to repay a debt. Nope.

This is my first DNF of the year and I have NO regrets.

“Daddy Dragon” has a unique and gripping plot! This story flows nicely and captivated me from the first to last chapter. Anna has just quit her job due to sexual advances by her boss. Jason is head of Silver Dragon Securities a unique group of dragon shifter mercenaries and needs a nanny. Anna accepts the position and is soon involved in a dangerous game. Their attraction to each other is electric but will Jason risk everything for her? “Daddy Dragon” has intrigue, suspense, action, danger, secrets and steamy romance. I strongly suggest you give this book a try.

I was not sure what to expect with this book as there are starting to be a few Nanny Shifter books coming out, but this was great. Anna thinks the nanny job coming up just when she needed it was perfect timing, which it was but not perfect timing for her. She is about to find out there is more to the world than just mere humans and unfortunately you can't always trust those close to you. There were some great twists and surprises as well as some suspenseful moments to keep this steamy read going.

Thoroughly, overwhelmingly disappointing.

It was honestly hard to read this book and I don't think I'll be reading this author again. With a horrifying mix of oversimplification, awkward syntax, poor narration and questionable plot, I simply wanted every sentence to be rewritten. Also, I finished the book found myself only %10 through the material. Apparently there are several "bonus stories". Maybe if a bit more focus went into the main story and a bit less into the bonus ones, I wouldn't have felt like bashing my head in. I wish I hadn't payed for this.

Good start for a series

This was a fast and interesting start to the series. I brain did a mental flip when Anna likened the experience of the interview process to The MIB movie. That's how I imagined out in my head. Although this was a good shifter story, I feel that many details were left out. How did the Abraxis clan know of Anna's existence? When and how did they obtain her DNA? These are just a few questions about minor details I'm curious about. Hopefully, my questions will be answered as the series progresses.

Great storylines but......

This is more for the young love crowd. Some of the storylines were very promising., however they are never fleshed out. While the promise of a good story was there, it never made it. Things were boy meets girl, have quick sex, girl pregnant by the second time they had sex, pregnancy was accelerated in some stories, on others gestation was lengthy, baby born, live happily ever after, like a Disney shifter fairy tale. Quick fluff piece of you want a quick read with little substance.

Good story

The story itself is great for the most part. My only objection is that in the two books I have read by this writer will all of a sudden refer to the male body part as a prick and ruin the entire passage. There are so many other words that would work better with the rest of the writing, especially at those times. I just don’t understand why her editor didn’t change those parts to match the rest. A change in the proposals would also be nice. They are all identical she just changed the characters names.

Sweet, not deep

It’s a short, sweet story, but there isn’t much development and the story line is very deep. There’s some huge betrayal in here and it’s just swept aside like no big deal. There’s also not a lot told about the dragon world, you’re just thrown into it and, although I could see it as a way to parallel how the main character feels she’s being thrown into the world, I don’t think it was intentional. It comes across as undeveloped. I will say, however, I did finish it and might read the next one to see if it gets better or not.

This is Jason and Anna's story . Anna is a strong woman who refuses her boss's advances so she is now looking for a job when an ad catches her attention and she figures why not ? Jason lost his wife and now angry at the world he needs to hire a nanny for his children's sake . When these two get together look out the lust is all around them and danger is stalking ! This is well written and recommended to all !!

SOME SURPRISES ARE BETTER OR WORSE THAN OTHERS

I VOLUNTEERED TO READ AND GIVE AN HONEST REVIEW FOR THIS ARC BOOK

Anna Clinton gets fired from her job for not sleeping with her boss. She is also blackballed from getting a job in the industry that she works for. She gets an e-mail offering her a job to be a nanny on the same day. She has to sign an NDR for the job. Things take off after that. Read and learn about treachery, love, mothering and betrayal.

Very entertaining

I'd have loved to rate this with more stars but when a character in a story does something that makes me say to myself "NO ONE DOES THAT!!!" It kinda ruins the story for me. I won't throw in any spoilers, but it was so disappointing, that, for me, it actually took away from the story. I don't know if I'll carry on with the series, but I would definitely recommend this to other reader. It was entertaining, after all

Anna becomes a nanny, a job she never thought of having.

Anna get fired from her job but when she gets home she has an email for a nanny job. She goes for the job interview unsure if she wants to be a nanny but the pay and benefits make her choice an easy one. She meets Jason and can't believe how handsome he is so after taking the job and finds she loves caring for his kids. Then the drama and plot begin to change. I highly recommend this book.

Disappointed

The story started off well, but about halfway through it seemed that the author ran out of time. I felt that the last half of the story was really rushed and did not make a lot of sense the way it ended.
There where frequent spelling mistakes that made me stop and reread to figure out what the author was saying.
Truly disappointed as this had the potential to be a really good read.

A HEA dragon romance

A sweet cliche dragon romance,

It had the potential to be so much more!
But this is the first book so I’m not being harsh!

I was a bit confused with one scene! It has no continuity!
Naked to shift!
Does Jason shift back to a human with clothes on? If so why does he strip, to begin with??

My ONLY complaint!

One chapter became 1st POV! Why??

However, as I said the first book!!! So on to book 2

I think this is a great start to the series. It briefly introduces the history of dragon shifters as a reality and also shows their greed to be the most powerful which is a realistic example of them not being content and the great lengths taken and the consequences of always being thirsty for more. I would have liked for Anna's new knowledge to have been explored more but at the same time realize that she was in no condition to "try out" her heritage.

It wasn't what I expected. There is definitely a surprise twist you won't expect which seriously changes your view of the characters.

I liked the children the best and felt that relationship was the strongest. I also liked the ending.

I would have liked a little more character development and story development. Everything moves very quickly and you suddenly get some disturbing facts.

You have done it again Sky Winters another fantastic book. I don’t need to write any spoilers because Sky has written everything you need to know in the blurb. I loved the characters Anna and Jason and with toe curling sex scenes you don’t want to miss out on getting this book. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves dragon shifter stories.
