Forget Mr. Right. Mr. Wrong is right here... You love to hate me. Cocky. Playboy. Rich. Handsome. The next big thing in Hollywood. You might think I'm a scumbag, but you still can't resist me. She sure as hell can't.
Her name is Nora Valencia, and I'm about to take her on a date that will give her nightmares.
She's my friend's crazy ex-girlfriend, so I'm all too happy to make her life a little harder.
She deserves it, right? ....Wrong
Turns out she's gorgeous. Smart. Funny. And innocent of all the accusations. Predictably, she also hates my guts after what I put her through.
But I’m going to show her everything she got wrong about me.
She's working on my latest movie, and I'm determined to prove it only takes so many wrong turns to make it right.
Alessandra Hart writes sweet and sexy contemporary rom-coms and romantic suspense. She loves to read books like that herself (especially when the two genres are combined) so it was only a matter of time before she started plotting her own novels! All of her books are stand-alones.
She currently resides in Australia with her partner and two cats. She loves animals, red wine, and rainy days where she can curl up inside and plot new stories instead of having to go out.
➳Having what is wrong for you can sometimes lead you to what is the best for you... Mr. Wrong, you can have me any day...
➳When it comes down to a solid humor romance, this novel MAY be the answer for you. This love story has the mix and matches that make your turn your head and question the invisible person next to, or the the god that you believe in and ask "why" or "how even?" This of course comes in the coarse of the positive attributes of the story.
➳Being part of a confusing environment of being attracted to the woman who is supposed to be a man eater, Jacob tries to succumb to the idea that his attraction for Nora has to diminish due to the history he "knows" about her and the misleading information he was given. Nora on the other hand, is caught in a pickle of trying to overcome the harsh breakup she had with her ex-boyfriend who is spreading rumors about her and how she "deals" with men.
➳To make this review short and straight to the point, I honestly liked the novel for sure. Not my favorite by far this year, but I do recommend it for those who are looking for a sweet and energetic romance that will have you not expecting the climax and its peek of the plot. Thank you to Alessandra for giving me an ARC of this beauty. I am looking forward to her other novels for sure.

Jacob 'Jake' Archer is a popular TV actor. The guy could act but people only saw him as the bad-boy rich handsome playboy. Kind of like James Dean and Johnny Depp. Jake wanted to be in the big screen. He did before but it did not turn out so well. So, he's giving it another shot. A trip to his best friend's office brought upon him a deal; he have to search for a woman and gave her a date from hell. The only problem was, he's attracted to her, just by looking at her picture. He found her and did his best to show the worst side of him only to find out later that she's actually in the right. So, what do he do now to show that's he's not Mr. Wrong for her?
From Nora's pov, I got a strong woman saying she's not interested. But looking at it from Jake's pov, it's like Nora was playing coy and hard to get. Do men really think that when women said no, they meant yes, woo me because I'm playing hard to get?
Jake was doing all these moves I seldom watch in Korean romance drama/movie. For example, placing his hand at the wall and trapping Nora and the only thing she could do was shrink smaller and lower. It looks swoon-worthy in drama/movie because it was market as romance. If it was market as thriller, would it be that romantic? That sense of being helpless, it's scary.
The story was doing well, with Jake doing what he can to proof to Nora that he was not a jerk (by doing jerky move his TV character might do) until AH decided to spice thing up with a stalker. AH did well with dual pov because what Nora think of the situation was sometimes different from what Jake was seeing it. I skipped most cringe-worthy, oops I meant swoon-worthy part, because it's like a filler.
The story was not what I expected. Not bad but I kind of want more.
This story had me immediately intrigued! It had such a fun and interesting plot and I loved the characters!
Imagine your friend telling you about how HORRIBLE their ex treated them....I mean UNIMAGINABLE things! Cheating was the least of it, the lies and deception hurt but after ALL of that she also STEALS something from you that you love.
Jacob is a famous, gorgeous, cocky t.v. star, he just landed the biggest role of his life and will be adding movie star to the list. He couldn't believe the way his friend was treated in his last relationship and thinks his ex deserves a taste of her own medicine and he's more than willing to give her a giant spoonful.
Nora (who I loved right away) Is a kind, smart, beautiful and loyal woman, she works for movie studios on their productions as an accuracy consultant. She's fresh out of a TERRIBLE relationship and is just trying to move on.
Jacob "bumps" into Nora while she's out with her best friend Angie trying to get over the last few days and he's got one thing on his mind, revenge. Nora accepts Jacob's invitation for dinner and what ensues is the most CRINGE WORTHY dates EVER!! You have to read it to BELIEVE it!! Jacob says the most inappropriate and downright disgusting things. Anything to be a bad date to Nora, to make her feel bad, to treat her like crap and make her hate his guts. It's pay back for his friend, right?
Nora is NONE of the things he expected her to be in fact, he really likes her. In fact, his friend lied about EVERYTHING and has been harassing Nora.
Needless to say the date didn't go well and Jacob feels awful about it. Cut to Jacob's first day on set and he runs into their accuracy consultant, Nora.
Jacob and Nora go on this crazy adventure together, first as enemies then as friends, and maybe more? I's a roller coaster ride of exes, restraining orders, lies and secrets. You'll think it's going one way but it goes a whole different direction, enjoy the ride!!

I really loved this witty, well written book📑! The pages flew by because the characters were funny, personable, and believable, and drew me in. I couldn't put it down! ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I have to say that this was a pretty good read. Jacob and Nora were good characters with great chemistry together. Jacob was a manwhore before he met Nora but that fact wasn't constantly rubbed in our faces. After the disastrous first date he realized that he was wrong and that he really liked her. He completely changed to become a better man just for her. Their relationship was sweet and very sexy with a tad of mystery added in. There were a few things I found to be unbelievable and a little off but overall it was an enjoyable story.
This is my first book by Alessandra and I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved Jacob and Nora's story. Jacob is rich, drop dead gorgeous and a famous actor. Nora is supposed to be his friends beautiful but, crazy attention seeking ex-girlfriend is hit on and dump. Can Jacob do that or does he actually fall for Nora? You'll have to read the book to find out.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This book has all the feels!! I seriously loved the twists in this story. I love Jacob and Nora. This is my first by this author and it surely won't be my last. I had a blast reading this book.
Without going into too much detail I will say Jacob and Nora met under some bad circumstances. The lies and puppy kidnapping is what brings these characters together. I loved the chemistry between Jacob and Nora
Seriously! This book is EVERYTHING. It was a completely different story to anything I have ever read. I completely loved the characters! Nora is hilarious, strong, relatable and tries so hard to stay away from Jacob, even though their connection is clearly there!! Jacob is such a nice guy... his heart is so good... he cares so much!! Totally my new book boyfriend!!
I highly recommend this book! I'm excited to read more by this author <3
This was my first time reading one of Ms. Hart's books and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. I loved Jacob and Nora. This book literally had everything you could ask for. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to punch the bad guy in the throat. Jacob his his true self from almost everyone. Nora was just out of a rough relationship and trying to make a name for her self. They had explosive chemistry, witty banter, and trials that tested them at every corner. I can't wait to read more of Ms. Hart's work. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Hilarious!!! Oh this book is so refreshing. Really enjoy the light story and don't start talking about the humor in it, absolutely hilarious!! I swear I can't stop laughing in the first part. This is the kind of book that I'd love to say Whaaaaaa many many times and then laughing my a** off!! LOL.
Jacob a very famous Hollywood actor, who is trying to make his career on the movie business, he has been working on a TV series for awhile but he is ready to move on .. he was the typical bad boy, sleeping with every woman in L.A.. he was known for his bad reputation.. threesomes, parties and different women every night and day.. he wasn't looking for a real relationship, he didn't even want one.. but he never thought his life and his mind was about to change, when he made a deal with her ex, that he will make her pay, for what "she did" to him....
Nora is working as a sport consultant on movies, she didn't want to know about men, her ex was a prick who not only was stalking her but also was spreading very nasty rumors about her.. hurt by all the drama he was causing her.. she accepts a challenge from her best friend... just this one time to make her forget, to see that not all men are bad, just this ones to have fun, relax and stop the memories of the past men in her life..
I love that Jacob was a gentleman, he was very in touch of how he felt when it came to Nora, he was funny, nice and not arrogant like the media try to show.. Nora was a great heroine, she was strong and fought for what she wanted but she needed to hear her instincts more because her own fear was making her run whenever she felt lied...
Jacobs and Nora story is beautiful in a way that you can see how good they're together and how definitely they meant to be together.. they're funny, they both are strong.. but they also have secrets, that eventually will need to come out of there hiding place in order for them to be able to trust again and be able to have a very strong relationship.. specially for Nora who has trust issues .. a lot of people lie to her or disappointed her and now Jacob has to work on that so she will trust in them in their love..
their love will be tested.. someone wants to separate them, someone thinks they need to be apart.. but things are not often what they seem.. so many secrets would come out and Nora's trust will be tested..
it is my first book by Alessandra Hart and I'm looking forward to read more of her!!!
I loved the chemistry between Jacob and Nora.
Thank you so much for letting me read this book early.
4-4.5 stars. Boy that was a fun read. Some words about the book: This is the story of Jacob and Nora. Jacob finds out that one of his best friend's colleague broke up with his ex (Nora) cause she was a liar and a psycho. Feeling sorry about the guy Jacob and Chris (his friend) decide to revenge on his behalf by putting Jacob to take her on her worst date ever. Jacob tracks her down and asks her out. Date goes according to plan until he starts liking the girl. Plus she doesn't look like psycho. And she treats him as a normal person and not a famous actor with no personality like most women. He is very confused and torned between what he knows about her and what his guts tells him. Everything blows up in his face when she finds out his plan and ends the date with threats so he puts the whole thing behind him. After 2 weeks Jacob nails down a leading role in a big movie and on his first day there he finds out that he has to work, with who else, Nora!!! This is the beginning of their I-want-you-but-we-decided-to-be-friends friendship which doesn't lasts long btw. I'm not gonna go into more details about the book cause I don't want to spoil it for the future readers. I can tell you this though: stuff happen. Bad stuff, silly stuff and funny stuff. That is how I ended up loving Jacob. I ain't gonna lie. Jacob of the first half of the book is the reason why I put 4 stars instead of 5. And Jacob of the last half of the book is why it's 4 stars and not lower. At the beginning Jacob comes out as immature and childish. I mean, who goes out for revenge on behalf of a guy he doesn't even know. Even his friend doesn't really know the guy. He is just a colleague for God's sake. And then he does it again to the colleague on behalf of Nora. So childish... The other thing is we are keep getting told that he is a playboy and an a-hole. Well, I haven't seen that in the book. There is not one single sircumastance that Jacob comes out as a mean guy or as a manwhore. He is actually kind of sweet and nice since the beginning. Nora, again, is why there are only 4 stars. She kept running away. Whatever came her way that was a bit difficult she would chose the easy way out. I wanted her to fight more. She did fight but only after she run, thought about it, came back and then fight. Yeah......no. You stay, and you fight. Anywho, overall this is was a good read. The beginning was a bit rocky but once I got the bumps out of the way it was a very smooth ride. I recommend this book. This was my first book of Alessandra Hart but it won't be the last.
Oh my Gosh! After finishing a really emotional book, I really needed a rom-com and so glad I picked Alessandra's book. This is my first book by Alessandra Hart but not the last. This book was so refreshing, steamy, hilarious, with a heart, an amazing writing and wonderful characters. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. Loved that it was written in dual POVs.
Jacob is a famous actor who is trying to expend his career on movies business. He's a star in his show Code Grey, but he wants to do more movies. Even though tabloids branded him as a "playboy, bad boy", he wasn't really like that. I loved his character, personality and that he is down to earth guy with a heart of gold and such a gentleman. I didn't like his hasty decisions sometimes, but over all he's such a wonderful hero.
Nora is a working as a sport consultant on movies. She's jaded by her past, has trust issues because her last relationship has ended badly. She's such a sweet, strong, understanding, loving and caring person.
I loved Jacob and Nora's relationship and their flirty banter; the way they became friends first and that they were so easygoing and always honest with each other. I loved the hilarious situations they got themselves into. I loved their love for that cute dog Oscar and how they both loved animals. Seriously, some couple goals here. Their story was so beautiful to read and to be with them every step on the way. Nothing was hasty or too rushed. Loved that Jacob fought for her and the way he treated her when he got to know her was amazing (excluding that horrible date he took her lol but boy it was so hilarious). Loved that Nora didn't fall for him immediately or take his nonsense. They are truly each other's match. The banter was amazeballs. It was beautiful to see how Jacob was supporting her when she went through something that changed her life (not entirely but she was a little stunned when she learned the truth). They have built a really strong relationship and I'm in love with their love for each other.
Can't wait to read the next book.
If you love rom-coms with a good laugh, amazing characters and laughing out loud moments this is book for you.
This book was amazeballs. Yes, that's the official, technical term. With a feel-good and hilarious storyline and characters that I adored, Mr. Wrong made for such a fun read.
Jacob is a famous television actor who has just landed the role that will make him a household name! When a friend tells his about the nightmare his crazy ex-girlfriend was, he's wrangled into taking her out on a revenge date to help teach her a lesson. But once he actually gets to know her he quickly realizes that Nora Valencia isn't Satan's spawn and he actually likes her. Unfortunately for Jacob after that he date from hell Nora wants nothing to do with him. But fate steps in when Nora shows up to work on the same movie as Jacob. Can Jacob make her see he's the right guy to start over with or will he just prove he's Mr. Wrong?
Okay, so I freaking loved the banter between Nora and Jacob in this book! I actually found myself laughing out loud so many times while reading. The back and forth between them was hilariously entertaining and their chemistry jumped off the pages. I adored Nora from the moment she's introduced. Jacob on the other hand took some time to warm up to. He's a total douche bag. Listen, I like douche bags when they're redeemable and cute. Jacob sometimes tipped over into annoying a-hole territory and that was a bit of a turn off. The book's momentum was a bit slow at the beginning, but it quickly picks up pace and the book becomes difficult to put down. All in all it was a great book.
Packed with hilarious banter, an extremely fun premise, plenty of sexiness, and lots of shenanigans, Mr. Wrong is absolutely the right book to pick up for a good time! I'm really looking forward to more books from Alessandra Hart. Four stars.
Mr. Wrong by Alessandra Hart intrigued me from the blurb alone. I was lucky enough to sign up to receive an ARC of this book and I was very excited about the chance to read a new author. As I mentioned, the blurb really hooked me. The story itself definitely follows the blurb, but it has some serious twists and turns that readers won't see coming.
Lies and puppy-napping bring Jake and Nora together under less then stellar circumstances. But Jake quickly realizes that those lies are far from true and that his gut instincts lead him to Nora again and again. Trust is a two way street and these two quickly become far more then just friends.
Alessandra Hart wrote a story that readers are sure to like. Told in Duel POV, readers will very quickly fall for the irresistible Jake Archer because for all his bad boy vibes, he's really just an amazing man that Nora never stood a chance against. I liked Nora but I didn't really love her as a heroine. She has been through a terribly rough relationship and come out on the other end stronger, yet she is basically instantly in love with Jake. That simple fact was what threw me about the book. I think it's really the reason I couldn't give this story more then four stars in my review. The plot was certainly entertaining and well written, and delivered some fun twists and turns in the story that readers won't be expecting. Overall, I enjoyed the book, and will look at more work by Alessandra Hart in the future.
I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was full of complex dynamics; James was Nora's ex and he made up all these lies about her and told his co-worker Chris and his celebrity friend Jacob. Well Jacob thought it would serve Nora right if he would be an @sshole to her, and he was. Little did Nora know that this was just the beginning of her troubles. She ended up working on the same movie project as Jacob. Jacob did get to know her better and realized that James had made up all that BS about her. But Nora had yet to forgive Jacob and when she did their romance began. She was still being harassed by James via Facebook. Nora was also about to get the shock of her life from her parents. Nora reacted first then asked questions later. Which if it was not for Jacob encouraging her to face her problems head on. Things may have ended up differently. Jacob did all he could to reconcile his past behavior with Nora by being himself, a good, conscientious, loyal, honest person. Nora gave Jacob a second chance. This story was fast paced and extremely entertaining. A must read.
I just finished Mr wrong and omg it was just everything!!! I have been in such a book slump and from what I've seen posted I'm not the only one! Hopefully if you read Mr wrong it'll get you out of yours too!! Lol even if just for a book!it had everything in it!! It had some action some drama and omg so freaking funny!! It was so hot too!! Which always helps for me!!! It started out with a big misunderstanding yet a really funny one!! It was so different from what I've read that I ate up every word!!! I recommend this book sooooo much I can't even tell you!! Just read it you won't be sorry!! Lol I did receive this book as an arc for my honest review and before I even wrote this review I went on the authors Facebook page to tell her how much I loved it!! I couldn't be more honest in saying how much I enjoyed this book!! Thank you so much for this wonderful read!!! I think this might be her first book? I don't even know but if it is she knocked it out of the field with this one!!! Lol thank you again Alessandra Hart for an amazing read!!!! 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆 I give it five explosions!!! Lmao
Nora's ex has been spreading lies about her to anyone that will listen. When he does so in front of a co worker Chris and his friend Jacob he gets more sympathy. Chris convinces Jacob so find Nora and trick her into a date just so he can steal James's dog back. What neither of them knew was is James is a liar and everything he accused her of doing he was the guilty one. Jacob finds out too late and when he tries to fix what he did its only makes it worse. Thinking just to forget about Nora and move on Jacob goes into he new job and finds out that forgetting her won't be that easy Nora is a consultant on the set of his new movie. As they start spending time together they both agree to move passed what Jacob did and start fresh. However Nora's ex isn't about to let that happen. Can they continue secretly seeing each other with her ex causing problems? Is her ex the only problem in their way?
This was a great story I couldn't put it down once I started it. The chemistry between Nora and Jacob is scorching hot. There are parts in this that will have you laughing out loud. This is a five star hit in my opinion.
Bad boy actor Jacob Archer gets talked into tracking down the crazy ex-girlfriend of his friend's coworker, picking her up and taking her on the worst date ever, just to teach her a lesson. Nora Valencia dumped her lying, cheating ex James and has sworn off men until her friend Angie says she'll recommend Nora for a job if she she agrees to date the first guy who asks her out. Jacob succeeds with his plan but realises too late that he's wrong about Nora and really likes her but Nora never wants to see him again. Jacob and Nora end up working on the same movie and start dating but someone doesn't want them to be together and blackmails Jacob to break up with Nora. When Nora sees a text on Jacob's phone asking if he's broken up with her yet, she thinks that Jacob is going to dump her for another woman and leaves for a new job in New York. Is this the end for Jacob and Nora?
Alessandra Hart delivers a funny, sweet and steamy story that will have you hooked
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
For a debutant, Alessandra Hart has done a great work with Mr. Wrong, the plot, characters and the flow of the story is really amazing. I love Enemies to Lovers Theme and as such this books had my interest from the beginning. I enjoyed both Jacob and Noah's character, both had their equal chances of deception and hurt in their past life. Jacob on his career built from a TV artist to movie star, he is reputed womanizer until his best friend's ex comes into his life. Nora works as a consultant at movie studios and she had torturous past with ex, which makes her sore off on men until her ex's friend come into her life. Jacob wanted revenge from Nora for his best friend and thinks her to be his enemy, when they run into each other at a club before taking his revenge he learns about her. The next time when they meet at the studio, his revenge and enmity is gone and their relationship gets a start with a friendship and leads towards more........... I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book, I received.
Excellent, funny and well written story, with great dialogs, greats characters and some hot scenes. I had never read anything this author before, but I really appreciated this story. It was a great reading moment. Jacob is an actor with a fake bad reputation, and Nora is working in movies team. Her ex boyfreind told everyone horrible and fake rumors on her and Jacob heards about it, from the ex and he wants to trick her. He plays the more arrogant bastard and the more misogynist man she ever met, during their date (excellent part :), but at the end of the date, he realises that it’s her ex boyfriend who was a liar and a cheater. So, when he can works with her few weeks later, he tries to apologize and to seduce her. The characters are really excellent : funny, sassy, not dumb at all, not naive. The second part is less funny, but has more twists. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Jacob, you are about to truly understand that, when it comes to Nora, nothing is quite as it seems. Of course, you should know what that’s like. Operating on false assumptions is about to land you in-- well, actually this might not be such a bad gig. We could call this show Will the Real Psycho Ex Please Stand Up… and somehow I think you’re beginning to get the gist of things. Meanwhile, I’ll just sit back and enjoy the show, while just about everything that can go wrong, does go wrong-- before it’s put right again… Because it’s a Love story after all.
Some of the “funnies” in this book are subtle-- a spark here and there, to make you smile and maybe giggle (if nobody’s listening). And some of them are so funny that I laughed out loud in inappropriate moments-- like during the network news-- or in the dentist’s office waiting room. Never mind. I’m used to the raised eyebrows. Bottom line: Wow! Seriously sweet, funny and romantic. Perfect. 5 stars.
There was so many things I liked about this book and there were a couple I didn't.
I really liked Nora and Jacob. I liked the banter and the one upping they tried to do to each other. I loved the chemistry they had. You could "feel" that these two belonged together.
I hated Nora's Ex. He was slimy from the get go. He was definitely written very well as someone who you love to hate.
My biggest issue with this book is the bet that was made in the beginning that started the path of Jacob meeting Nora. Jacob is a well known actor while a little on the bad boy rule pusher side, his manager or PR firm would have so many issues with the things he said and did in the beginning. It just seemed a little far fetched to me.
I did like this book, once you get over the date, it is a really good book!
Mr. Wrong is such a wonderful read. Jam packed full of humor, drama and steam. I loved the plot of this book and I think it will really resonate with readers. I think almost everyone has suffered from the lies an ex has taken great pleasure in spreading to everyone that will stand still long enough to listen. It's ugly and it unfortunately happens. This book uses this fact to power this book. I loved both these characters so much. Jacob is a Hollywood bad boy, sexy, smug and deep down with a heart of gold. Nora is smart, strong and a kind soul. These two generate global warming level heat and their story will keep you reading long past your bedtime. An entertaining and enjoyable book that I highly recommend. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review after reading an advance copy of this book.
If only every horrible first date resulted in an ending as happy as the one in this story. I really enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Nora and Jacob. By telling the story through alternating viewpoints, I was able to see where both Jacob and Nora were coming from which kept me from believing Jacob was a total scumbag at the beginning of the story. Instead, Jacob quickly became one of my favorite book boyfriends, the down-to-earth TV/movie star. The physical attraction between Jacob and Nora was always there, but their rocky start created a slow burn leading to their physical relationship. This allowed the relationship to seem more real and capable of a future than some love-at-first-sight stories. There were a couple parts that had me rolling my eyes a bit which kept me from giving it 5 stars, but I really enjoyed the story overall.
You just know after the first few pages that it's going to be good because you can't put it down the story draws you in and you become so engrossed your only mission in life is to get to the end and this is what this book does. It's the first book I have read by this author but what a book, it tells the story of Jacob a Hollywood movie star a bit of one night only type of person and Nora who also works in that industry but behind the scenes, they both end up working on the same movie. They have history from a disastrous one night date when Jacob is trying to get revenge for a friend who he believes was wronged by Nora who is now is ex. The story is funny, sweet and very steamy with a touch of mystery thrown in. I was given this as an ARC by the author and promise to leave a voluntary review which this is.
Nora had to date and kiss alot of frogs before she finds her prince. And she had a tendency to date some of the worst.
Nora’s young, successful sports consultant for movies. Fresh out of a bad relationship she finds herself on the rebound.
Jacob Archer, the handsome bad boy who’s an actor is trying to go from tv to the big screen. He’s playing the field but has a number of skeletons in his closet.
These two meet and sparks fly...and it’s not all good in the beginning. Lots to be learned in this story. So much lies, deceit, twists to come. Their chemistry is great. Alot of facets to this storyline that will keep you wondering; a stalker, family secrets and a hidden relationship. The question is, has Nora found her prince?
