Ashes
When a pandemic nearly wipes out mankind, a young man sets out to rebuild society in this apocalyptic tale of love, friendship and survival.
Ash wakes from his illness to find the human race has almost perished at the hands of a deadly outbreak. After a lonely and grueling winter, he travels south in search of a new home.
Along the way, he befriends a young woman, Marion, and takes in an orphaned child and a wolf cub, but they become separated.
While Ash fights to establish a new community, Marion struggles to find her lost friends, as she attempts to reach the village of Ashes.

Great Read!
Really loved the book and kept me wanting to keep reading the book. Lots of great imagery words to help create the scenes in your head really helped to put you right in the action and right in the moment. And I really felt the emotions throughout the book as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good read.

Ashes
Excitement, love, fear, quick thinking (to mention a few of the attributes) raced through the book. The author expressed the protagonist's conscience and internal struggles very well, and he was a true hero. I hope Mr. Pineau writes other books with similar themes.

Wouldn't stop reading...
Well written. Easily connected with characters. Though some I felt hatred towards much like the characters in the book. Wouldn't mind a book 2 for these characters. Especially, from Nadine.

Great story
I enjoyed this apocalyptic story so much. Even without zombies, kept my attention and interest all the way through. Wish there more on the way!
