Grasshopper

Grasshopper and the Unwise Owl

Rate this book
Grasshopper realised that he couldn't see over the ferns that lined the path...with every step his body was shrinking. And so, reduced to a height of six centimetres, he finds he can talk to the animals. He makes friends with some, is wary of others and strikes a bargain with Jacob, the tawny owl who finds it impossible to answer all the woodland creatures' questions as a wide owl should.

Delightful, short, and magical tale perfect for emerging readers. Its playful premise and charming illustrations make it adorable, even with the lack of depth to the characters and the simplicity of the story.

Really enjoyed this simple but multifaceted tale of a boy gifted the ability to speak to animals who goes on a little adventure with an owl.
