Bang. Boom.

Isabella Thorn has lived her life with vision after vision, trying to help save people when she can. Of course, not all can be saved. Her latest vision hits her so strong, she’s out for hours. Worse, she sees Detective Bo Chapman, the only man to ever capture her heart, shoot her to save other people from the bomb strapped to her chest. Now she must come face to face with Bo to tell him what’s coming. Something so vicious and brutal, she’s not sure she’ll survive. He’ll need to make a choice. Let the bomb blow, or kill her to save everyone else.

♡ Note: This romantic suspense/psychic short story was born out of my weekly flash fiction I write. The first few chapters are from my flashes. I hope you enjoy this short thrilling story!

I’m a USA Today Bestselling Author that loves to write contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels, although I am partial to romantic suspense. I even dabble in paranormal. Honestly, I love anything that has to do with romance. As long as there's a happy ending, I'm a happy camper. And insta-love…yes, please! I love baseball (Go Twins!) and creating awesome crafts. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, working in that field for several years before I became a stay-at-home mom. I have a few more amazing stories in the works. Sometimes the biggest thrills can be short and sweet! EXPLODING LOVE by Amanda Siegrist is a quick tale of second chance love, IF Isabella and Bo live long enough to finally admit their past mistakes and make amends.

Isabella has always had visions, but this time they involve the man she never forgot, the one that walked away with her shattered heart. Yet, there is something about her visions that parallel crimes that Detective Bo Chapman is investigating. As Bo wonders why she would waltz into his life again after three years, he discovers she may be the key to solving the cases. Isabella still holds the key to his heart, but why should she let him in again? When all is said and done, Bo will have to make the most important decision of his life, does he choose Isabella or play Russian Roulette with murder?

Amanda Siegrist’s style with her short stories has all of the impact of a much longer read and are every bit as satisfying as she quickly sets the atmosphere and colors life into her characters! With a little paranormal and a lot of romance, this crime thriller may be short, but it is the perfect escape into wonderful story telling!

A quick to read, action packed second chance romance. I really enjoyed this story that had a little touch of paranormal and suspense. I would love to see more of Isabella and Bo's stories as well as that of her brother, Isaac. Their characters were well written and the situations they found themselves in were very believable.

What a fun read!
Isabella can see the future, and while it can be really helpful in saving someone's life, can it save her own when she dreams of herself and the man she used to love?
Three years ago Isabella was with Bo, a local detective, and their relationship was hot and fast. Then it ended abruptly, with Isabella shutting off her feelings for Bo, but that doesn't mean he did the same. She's sure he hates her and when she calls him to tell him of her newest dream, the one that involves the both of them, she's not surprised he's so abrupt on the phone, she was expecting it. But this time her dreams are vague and she doesn't have a lot of information to give him.

The struggle to believe that Bo might still carry a torch for her is strong with Isabella, and yet, when she's lucid, she feels so much from him. They're both scared and unsure what is going to happen and when. Exploding Love is an intense, fast, and fun read. I like how Siegrist can create in-depth characters in such a short amount of book, characters that you grow to love and sit on the edge of your seat with when they are in trouble, a great read!

This book sticks to true Amanda Siegrist style and gets your attention from the first line and holds you there until the end. Isabella is a psychic. She gets visions. And her visions sometimes help save lives. Now her visions are changing. She is getting them more and they are more personal. She is in visioning her and her ex Detective Bo Chapman. She does something she hasn't done in three years, she contacts him. He believes her visions as they try to solve this case to take down this mad man who is killing people. They are forced to face their true feelings for each other. They both still love each other. But they are proof that lack of communication leads to misunderstandings. As if dealing with those feelings aren't hard enough the mad man has now targeted Isabella and it's case of life and death for them both.
This was such a cool story. Right away the author had me biting my nails on what was going to happen. I loved that the main character was psychic. That made this story so fun. Bo was hard not to fall for. Isabella and him together were dynamite, no pun intended. I highly suggest this short story.

Isabella, a psychic who has helped the police in the past, has a premonition that leaves her feeling terrified and helpless. She has no choice but to contact her detective ex Bo, because the premonition involved both her and him. They have not seen each other in three years, when he broke her heart. Bo had his reasons for breaking things off with Isabella, but as soon as she walks back in to the police station he knows he will do whatever it takes to make things right with her.

Bo realizes his mistake when he pushed Isabella away all those years ago. She is now guarding her heart, knowing that she may not survive another heartbreak. This was a quick novella filled with action, mystery, and paranormal activities involving Isabella’s psychic abilities. This was a good read and I’m looking forward to reading Isabella’s brother Isaac’s story next!

I loved this short story and could not put it down until the end. Whew!! What a ride! Isabella has psychic visions, visions so real that she has been able to help people, when possible. When reporting her visions, she met and fell in love with Detective Bo Chapman, but has distanced herself from him due to her visions. But now, she will be contacting Bo, as the latest vision is about her and Bo and how he will have to kill her in order to save others. Wow, what a unique story line. This is another hit for Ms. Siegrist. Her stories and characters are always packed with emotion. I am so hoping that Isabella’s brother Isaac will have his story! (by paytonpuppy)

I am always amazed by Amanda's writing with her flash stories. I truly enjoyed reading Exploding Love and the suspense that comes with it!

Isabella and her psychic abilities kept my attention. The way she interprets the danger that is coming and having to seek out Bo, was intense and kept my attention. Through and through I was hooked on Amanda's words. I don't read much books in the paranormal romance because normally I can not stay along with the story. But for Amanda's stories, I am always willing to read her stories and happy to report she does not disappoint! If you need a quick suspense read, Exploding Love is IT!

A vision sparks a second chance at love for two who are still tied to the past in their own way. Neither has moved forward nor have they forgotten. Now they may have a second chance if they can survive. Love the physic touch to the story but man I would have loved more of course.

Very entertaining and so unique!

A second chance romance novella with a touch of the supernatural and an instant twist – the second chance is initiated by a nightmarish vision! Isabella is a psychic who uses her ability to help the police, but her latest vision is not like the ones she usually has, setting off a very fast-paced and engaging read that I sped through. I loved it and highly recommend it! I think it is so impressive that Amanda Siegrist wrote this initially using writing prompts, as she explains in her forward to the book. She seems to have a natural story-telling ability, and I am looking forward to reading more of her books.
