"A bay leaf near a wishing well, helps to break a magic spell." Psychic Baylee Scott is turning thirty, but birthday cake is not on her mind.
Objects are turning up missing all over town, and strange rat-like creatures have been seen lurking in the shadows. Add to that the untimely death of Reed Hollow's beloved mayor, and Baylee is up to her ears in mystery.
Now, she and her supernaturally-inclined family must use their collective gifts to solve the riddle of the shadows before another person suffers the mayor's fate.
Book 2 in The Reed Hollow Chronicles picks up where book 1 left off, but is a complete stand alone novel. Join Baylee, Alex, Kela and Vivi as they work through family mayhem and paranormal riddles while trying to keep their tea house and antique shop running.
April Aasheim is the second oldest of six children. She spent her early years traveling the western part of the country with her mother and step-father. During this time she met a lot of interesting people and developed a love of 'characters'.
April is married and lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and her cat Boots.
As always a well written, fun, great paced novel. Ight-hearted and fun, dark and troublesome, all in one. April takes you a journey with her fun, brooding, quirky characters. I always look forward to reading something written by her. Cannot wait for the next release.
I loved this book so much! It's so creative and so imaginative and loved the storyline and all the different characters in it!
I am so impressed with the way that this author writes and how you are gripped by the story right from the first chapter and I also loved getting to know the characters more as well as being introduced to new ones
This was an emotional story with family and hope. Getting back on the dating horse, never comes easy to anyone, least of all Baylee. I love her dynamic with Alex & Kela. Her mom helping Alex cook cracks me up! Great story!!
I hope the originally scheduled sequels to this series are published. I enjoyed the first 2 books and would really like to read more about Baylee, Alex, Mr. B. and Dave. Nick is a wild card that needs to be played
Baylee comes across some strange creatures plus a new man shows up in town she feels an immediate connection to. The books in this series are a complete delight!
