Keanu has a nice life in his new home. Then his owner, “Daddy”, starts working a lot more, and Keanu becomes lonely. His wish for a new friend comes true when Daddy returns home from work one day with a new dog. Things are good at first, but then Keanu becomes jealous of Daddy giving attention to his new “brother”. This book is based on the true story of two dogs, Keanu and Buster. It discusses the changing family dynamics of step-siblings. It is told from the perspective of Keanu and Buster. Although dogs, Keanu and Buster represent children.

About the author

Michael Ryan Carroll is the author of the Adventures of Keanu D. Wonderdog children's series. In addition, he is a poet and author of Short Stories. Michael currently lives in Fort Wayne, IN with his rescue dog, a Chihuahua Mix named Batman, of whom the children's series is based. Michael is a Disabled U.S. ARMY Infantry Veteran, serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of SFOR 11, in support of Operation Joint Forge.

Keanu's story continues

Pleasant illustrations, they complement and work well with the words. Well written and easy to understand words and concepts. Happy and playful looking dogs. I look forward to more stories from these dogs and the author!
