Enjoyed!
I had this book on my to read list and finally decided to read it. I really enjoyed it.I wanted more of their story,hoping for the brother story.

A true love
This story was filled with friendship, family, suspense, murder, betrayal and a love so grounded and strong. The characters were fully developed and complete. Ryan was the perfect match for Gina. Nice to see love grow from a childhood friendship to an all intense love. I seriously want to know what happens after the honeymoon. Not a fan of joining more inclusive clubs for a fee. I know writers need to expand their living but it's too much to me.

Sorely disappointed 😞😞
I don't know how to write this because I have read some good books by this author. This book left me feeling bereft, just.. (sigh) I just was not impressed, the title in my opinion was too great for the book. Why did the hero choose this dead girl as his love interest? Why was he considering marrying her then once she was dead he suddenly realised how he felt about his best friend of 20 plus years?!! What process did he go through? What were his thoughts? I never got to see inside his head. Due to the type of relationship the main characters had I would have appreciated seeing into the hero's head at that moment. For a big bad mafia family that Maggio's were quoted as being I found their conversations and actions laughable and quite pathetic! This is a bad-ass mafia family that no one would dear threaten?! They came across more as declared kittens. Not impressed with this dead and it has been shelved on my disappointment shelf.

I didn't like it 😢
The female lead was annoying and naive. She's 30 but acts 15. I'm supposed to believe that her family is totally fine with her dating a mobster? I know this is fiction but come on. I wish I could get my time back from reading this book. I gave this book 2 stars because I was able to make it to the end without giving up on it completely, but barely.... I skipped a majority of the last 2-3 chapters though. I'd give this author one more chance but I won't read it2 to this story. I couldn't handle another book with the lead female character from this book. 😢 I hate writing bad reviews!

Cute story.......but!!!!
In my opinion books like these are not true mafia stories. Maybe the author should read some real mafia books ( Like from author s like Mallory Malone) to know exactly what one is. This author is not the only one guilty of this practice. If you are mafia you are just that. There's no "wanting to get out". Author's please stop calling these types of books mafia stories

Wow...
Wow, first and foremost this book is well written (yes there’s some typos but still readable) with both a strong storyline and a strong cast of characters, that draws you into their lives and make you feel like, they’re right there next to you...
I’m sooo glad that I am apart of J. J.’s NL mailing list... well for me, I’m going to read another of her books...and so should you.

So so
I absolutely hated the heroine. I hate a weak, whiny, hysterical woman at the wrong time. I know every woman can't be strong, but I need more. I like Ryan but the book was not worth the price, jmo.

Hmmm
I'm a proud fan of Ms. Jasper, but I just wasn't feeling this book for some reason. It was a decent mystery book, but as a "Mafia romance ", not so much. I think the book might have been better if it was straight from the guys point of view.........hmm, maybe.

This read was pretty good. Spicy moments mixed with suspense. More than anything I loved reading about Gina & Ryan's love story and how best friends turned into lovers then eventually husband and wife. The bond they had was just beautiful.❤🌹💓

Good storyline. A long friendship that over time became love and overcame many obstacles. Not even family ties could stop it.

It’s a mobster book, missing blood, action , assassination, but it’s a good book, take awhile to get to the point but it’s keep you readying .
Some down points are , both are 30, and still leaving with parents . Gina is a little I mature, naive and annoying. Not even have a storyline of her profissional life set strong as 30 years old black girl .
Like I said is good once you start , their relationship storyline is since they were kids and theirs families are part of it .
