This book covers probably 90% of what you need to know (assuming you have the fundamental systems knowledge around how 3-tier architectures, network/routes, CDN's, and storage systems work). There are some gaps around new stuff, but it is still more updated than the official guide.
Also, there are some annoying editorial oversights around spelling and grammar.

I'm a bit conflicted with this book. It's much more updated than the official guide (already reviewed). But it lacks some editorial guidance. The text sometimes is confusing (I remember reading about the eventual consistency on S3, that I knew it by heart, and thinking that the book was wrong: it turned out it was only badly written). In multiple places it writes AWA (instead of AWS!!!). I remember one specific answer to some question that was wrong!!! (it explains the right reasons, but provides the wrong letters)
When you're studying you need to be confident on what is written. I didn't feel that way. It's a pity because, apart from that, it's a good book.

I bought this book when it was just published. At the time, I started reading it and found it mostly a review of things I already knew about AWS, having received some hands-on training at the company I was working for. It provided a very good overview at the time. I never completed my reading so I didn't write a review then. As with all cloud technologies, things change quickly. I think this version of the book is still a good start, but there have been several changes that would make this book not an "all in one exam guide" today. My current job has me focusing on other cloud platforms.

I would recommend that you pick up the lastest version on this material if possible.

This book is a decent resource which can be used to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam. Despite being printed in 2019, this book is already a bit out of date. It's missing some key Amazon technologies which have to potential of being on the exam. I would recommend buttressing knowledge gained from this book with other study materials before taking the exam.
