Siobhan Davis introduces the Alinthia series with the story of Victoria King, a high school senior who thought she was just like the rest of her peers, preparing for college and making plans to marry her best friend and childhood sweetheart. After being attacked by an alien though, her life turns upside down and is further shaken when four of the hottest guys she’s ever seen enroll at her school, attend her classes and seem to notice no one but her.

Giving her little other choice, Tori gets to know a bit of Becket, Cooper, Dane and Maddox but her life before them keeps spiraling out of control until they disclose their identity and the reason behind their arrival which negates everything she thought was true about herself.

Full disclosure. I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into, I only knew it was a book by one of my favorite authors. I had read Davis’ previous sci-fi series and LOVED it and Lost Savior was equally fun, swoony and entertaining. Different for me, yes! Because I’d never read a reverse harem (a polyamorous relationship with the protagonist being female) before, but it was easy to understand while reading Tori’s thoughts as it was also new to her.

Davis thrives in writing young and brave heroines who are strong and determined to succeed. Tori is no exception and I enjoyed reading her perspective while watching her cope to her new reality and at the same time trying to balance it with her human teenage life.

I also love the intriguing worlds Siobhan creates which provide the backdrop for interesting storylines rife with angst, excitement and swoony sweetness and in this case several endearing heroes that had me swiping left until the very end. I can’t wait for the next book!

Lost Savior is book #1 of the Alinthia series by Siobhan Davis. It is a reverse harem, young adult sci-fi romance that ends with a cliffhanger.

“We exist to serve and protect you.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎🖤
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Tori - She is a normal high school student, who grew up on a farm, She has a boyfriend (Jensen) and several best friends. When she and her friends go shopping for prom dresses, something strange happens to her when she is attacked by a weird guy who she bumped into. When four new guys arrive at her school, she has a very strange reaction to them.

The Heroes: Dane, Maddox, Beckett and Cooper - Dane has tattoos and a dark faux hawk and chocolate brown eyes, Maddox has bulging muscles and tattoos, Beckett is smart and cute with glasses and a fade haircut, leaner but with muscular definition, Cooper is a blonde with tattoos and blue eyes and looks similar to Justin Bieber. They are guardians assigned to Tori.

The Story: Tori gets to know the four new guys at school and finds she has a connection to each of them, she has a feeling sort of like that of the alien that attacked her, but she feels comfortable with them. As this is going on, she is getting used to the weird things that seem to keep happening to her, similar to psychic abilities, and paranormal skills like turning that alien that attacked her to dust and moving super fast.

The book is told mainly from Tori’s point of view, though there are chapters in each of the guys point of view as well. It was narrated in dual narration by Lexi Richmond, Cooper North, Raviv Ullman, James Cavenaugh and Kirby Heyborne. They all do a fine job. Lexi Richmond isn’t one of my favorite narrators but she does a good job and her voice isn’t unpleasant so that was good.

There was a bunch of boyfriend drama at the beginning of this book since Tori had a boyfriend and there were jealousies when the four new guys came to school and started paying attention to Tori. Her boyfriend Jensen, was a good guy that she had known since she was a kid.

Some things don’t make much sense in this book. Tori and her four protectors were sent to different places as babies after an enemy species had started taking control of their planet, and Tori is just now getting her powers and remembering some of the things that happened when she was baby. However, the guys know all kinds of things about themselves, their home planet and the prophecy. They have information hidden away in their minds, but the technology of how it got there and how they access it wasn’t explained very well.

I have to admit that I really wasn’t feeling this one all the way through. I don’t know if I wasn’t connecting with the characters enough, or if I just got bored with listening to books yesterday. I put this one down a few times to watch television, which I don’t often do.

I wanted to love this one so much, and yet I fear I’m going to be in the minority with my views towards this one. On the surface, this is another great read from Siobhan Davis; however, there were so many little things I couldn’t quite bring myself to enjoy and this lessened my enjoyment. In all honesty, I would label this more of a three-point-five-star read, rather than the three-stars I gave it – but despite there being moments where four-stars were deserving, I couldn’t quite bring myself to round up.

In truth, I was somewhat tentative about this one from the moment I heard it was a reverse harem book. Reverse harem books really aren’t my cup of tea, if I’m completely honest. Despite this, I was excited for a new Siobhan Davis science-fiction read. The Saven series is the reason I fell in love with Siobhan’s work, and since then I’ve been following her author journey into new genres. I was nervous about her journey into contemporary romance, but I loved it. I was unsure about some elements in her standalone novel, Inseparable, but it won me over. Thus, I was hoping The Lost Savior would win me over – despite loving the work Siobhan has been releasing, I was craving a fill of her science-fiction and was willing to take the leap into reverse harem in the hope I would be convinced it is the kind of thing for me.

I’m sure the following may be a bit disjointed, and I apologise for that. I want to express my feelings towards this book without sounding like I hated it. I know many consider a three-star rating a bad rating, but I do not. It means I wasn’t crazy about the books, but there were elements I enjoyed. It also means I’m interested in what comes next in the series, and have hopes I could fall in love at a later date.

Because, you see, I believe there is so much potential with this one. The science fiction element promises to be really interesting – and, in all honesty, it was my favourite part of the story. There is enough world building in this one for us to have a general understanding of the bigger picture, but there is still plenty for us to find out. Based upon all the twists Siobhan Davis threw into her Saven series, I’m sure the future of the science-fiction element will continue to bloom throughout the series. There were plenty of aspects introduced, and certain ones I’m extremely interested in finding out more about. One of the things I had always wanted more of from the Saven series was a deeper look into the alien life forms, and I feel as though we may get that with this one. Already a handful of different species have been mention, and I have hopes we will be introduced to a lot more.

I’m actually crossing my fingers that this series will move us more into the science-fiction realm now that the world has been opened up. I know Siobhan Davis does not write hard science-fiction, but heading off into space and seeing the different worlds as we did in the Saven series is fine by me. I can accept soft science-fiction when done right, and Siobhan Davis does it right through creating many wonderful alien societies that grip the readers. So, yeah, my fingers are crossed that we do start the big journey in book two.

I feel as though that is where most of the potential sits for me, as a lot of the elements in the rest of the book were things I’m not so crazy about. I feel as though I was just unfortunate with this one, with many of the young adult tropes I’m not crazy about being included in one book. I can take one or two at a time, but it just felt like too many appeared in this one.

In truth, most of it can be dwindled down to a single label – high school drama. I’m so over that, have been for a while. I accepted it within the early Kennedy Boys books because it was so well mixed in with other elements of the story – it was prevalent, but we were not buried under it. In Inseparable, it was my least favourite part of the story – it is what left me worried I would not be enjoying Inseparable in the way I had been hoping for. In this one… it was all just a bit much for me. I know a lot of people enjoy high school drama stories, but I had far too much of that in my real life that I no longer want to look back at it. Hell, now that I’ve reached the point of post-graduate level education there are times where I find myself shaking my heads at books detailing the events of undergraduate living. Not to the same degree as I do with high school drama in stories, but still… I find myself to be the type to put sections of my life behind me once they are over and done with, and as high school was a very bad time for me I’m more inclined to step away from stories intent on reminding me of a past I’d rather forget. With this story, so many of the elements play back to what happens within the school setting, and I found myself wanting it over and done with.

In fact, I feel as though a lot of my dislike with the book stems from it taking place predominantly within the school environment. Those select scenes I considered four-stars all occurred well away from the school building and the associated drama. It’s just my personal preference.

Speaking of personal preference, we have my reverse harem issue. I tried, I really did, but I wasn’t won over. I felt like it was trying too hard in a way. Each boy was different, yet I felt as though they all fell into a different cliché box. Hell, even their names were cliched romance novel names. I prefer it when I can fall in love with just one male lead, and yet I didn’t really care for any of them. If asked to name my favourite I wouldn’t be able to – not because I liked them all, but because I was indifferent. It made for some rather predictable interactions throughout the story once we knew which cliché role went with which cliché name. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t hate them. I know many will have their favourites. I just felt like it was a bit too much. I have only read a couple of reverse harem books where the abundance of manliness felt smooth, and this wasn’t one I felt overly happy with. They played well off each other, I really enjoyed the science-fiction elements linked to the reverse harem element, but I didn’t much care for any of them.

I know I sound overly negative, but I think it’s just a reflection of how I was so hyped for this one and my worst fears were confirmed – not even Siobhan Davis, with her history of winning me over, has managed to win me over to reverse harem. There was enjoyment to be had, but this one didn’t blow my mind in the way Siobhan Davis has been known to do in the past.

Despite how this wasn’t a book that drove me wild, I will be giving book two a read. I’m interested in where the story is heading next, and I’m hoping the deeper we get into the story the more likely I will be to enjoy it. As I have already mentioned, there is potential for great things within the science-fiction element of the story and I’m hoping these great things will overshadow how this isn’t the kind of romance I usually enjoy.

Moving on the useless information..

I didn't really get into the book, i think mostly because of the fact the characters are teen and I can't deal with the drama. I can't even tell you if I liked it or not, I have just no idea. But the reviews are pretty good, so why shouldn't you give it a try?

Tori was pretty normal for a senior in high school until the four hot, new guys at school suddenly all become her personal shadows. It all started with that alien bounty hunter and the changes he unleashed within Tori. Could it be she is something more? Something not of this world? How could she find herself drawn to all four of these guys, especially when her heart belongs to her childhood sweetheart?

Being normal is a thing of the past for Tori and what lay before her is as exciting as it is terrifying and most definitely anything BUT normal! She may have gained an unexpected harem sent to protect her, but she will find she is meant to be THE LOST SAVIOR who has been found. But is it too late?

The queen of angst and romance is back with an unexpected science fiction twist that takes her storytelling to a new level! Siobhan Davis has opened up some fascinating possibilities in this new series and Tori’s world feels like it is about to explode into a new universe of trials, tribulations and of course, romance like we have never seen! Hang on tight, we are about to blast off into the world of Siobhan Davis’ latest creations!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Siobhan Davis!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! It was a lot of fun! Tori discovering she was an alien, finding out she has four gorgeous alien protectors that she is bound to (oh my!), having to try and accept this and balance it with her “human” life…and so much more that I won’t say because SPOILERS!

At first it’s mostly in Tori’s voice. Then as the guys come into it more there are chapters in each of their voices, helping us to get to know the four of them. I think as the series continues we will continue to get to know them, and relationships will develop more. They are very protective of Tori and their connection to her affects them in ways they didn’t expect.

I loved some of sarcasm in the book. Between the guys, they get pretty funny. But also Tori when she was fighting she would get real sarcastic, kind of like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Lol!!

This is going to be a great series!! I can’t wait for the next book!!

I hated the main female character. She has been in love with her childhood friend for years and years and then these guys show up and she has a "bond" with them and then she's all Jensen who? At first she breaks up with him because being with him puts him in danger and thats fine. I get that. But a week later she's making out with someone else and that I just can't handle. It makes her seem like a fickle character andI am just too old for that shit. So this series isn't for me. The writing itself was fine. The whole alien thing kind of did nothing for me. I don't know if it's because nothing was explained.. or if I stopped reading before it was explained (I stopped at 82%.. so I almost finished it).. And I really, really hated the characters. I didn't like any of them

I gave this book 4 stars because for a RH, it was refreshing to read about a heroine who wasn't abused. Even though she was adopted, she was raised by two loving parents.

I usually don't like YA and I did speed read through the high school BS, but for the most part, they behaved more like typical teens than I have been reading about lately.

I am hoping the next book does not have high school drama now that she knows who she really is.

It was so easy to become immersed in this world. Tori’s whole life has led her to this moment. Nothing is what it seemed. She’s not even the person she always believed herself to be. A chance encounter has just sealed her destiny. The truth is not always freeing. Sometimes it becomes the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Tori’s almost eighteen, has the perfect boyfriend and parents that love her. Her existence, as she knows it, is about to be turned upside down. When four new guys arrive in town and show up at her high school, everything changes.

The guys are there for a purpose and she seems to be their sole focus. She just wants to know the truth about what they want.

This story is riddled with suspense and off-the-chart sexual tension. I was immediately caught up in the story. Tori has only just discovered her purpose, but there is more. The four guys who have come to be an essential part of her future, each fulfill a unique void. I am just waiting for the tension to reach its peak and I cannot wait for the fall out. I look forward to book two as I binge this sci-fi romance series.

Let’s start with the first thing I noticed and loved. Our main character, Tori, is already in a romantic relationship when we get to know her. With her childhood friend / next door neighbor, Jensen, at that! It’s always refreshing when this is the case since so many stories start with.. well, most characters being single?

But then we have four new guys entering Tori’s life. I have to admit I was a little confused at first with who was who. It didn’t took me too long though, since it was obvious Maddox, Cooper, Beckett and Dane all have their own, unique characteristics. I don’t even want to make a choice between those four! They were all special in their own way.

As for Siobhan Davis’ writing… There are good things and bad things.
I loved how the bigger chunk of the story was written from Tori’s POV, switching with one of the guys’ POV every once in a while. It gave me the chance to actually get to know them better, know what makes them tick.
The focus of this story is more on Tori’s relationships with all the men than on the actual goal / mission the guys are on. I didn’t really have a problem with it, since I loved seeing their connection grow and evolve, but I can imagine other people thinking differently about that. I do hope there’ll be more focus on the action and mission in future installments though!

As for the world-building… I thought it was lacking a bit. You know Tori’s on earth, you know the guys are there as well for a reason but… what for? What exactly happened? What is their story? How is the entire world / galaxy put together? There are bits and pieces of answers to those questions, but I just felt like I needed more to have a real understanding of the world. Maybe if the focus had been a bit less on the romantic aspect, this might’ve been different. Who knows?

I talked earlier about Tori already being in a relationship when we get introduced to her. Jensen, who’s supposed to be a childhood friend, is a bit of an ass though. I would’ve expected their relationship to have a decent foundation, trust being one of the key points.

One more thing I want to mention is that the first chapters of this novel felt kind of “meh” to me. I honestly thought it was going to be all the way through. Luckily it wasn’t. It completely turned around but I still wish the initial chapters were as good as the rest since those often decide whether or not someone will keep reading.

I’m definitely glad I pulled through though! Before I knew it I’d finished the book. For someone not quite used to reading science fiction – yet! I’m slowly branching out a bit – I definitely enjoyed this novel.

3 / 5!

While out shopping with her friend, Tori runs literally into a strange man. After that encounter, she tries to brush off the discontent she feels and go to dinner, but she soon becomes very sick. While heading home, the man shows up in the middle of the road and tells Tori he has been searching for her. Tori has absolutely no idea what is going on, but she learns that there is more to her than she could ever have guessed and she is part of something much bigger.

I thought the Kyler trilogy would always be my favorite thing written by Siobhan, but I was wrong- The Lost Savior has now taken the top spot in my heart. It had the tension, romance, drama, and heat from the Kyler books, but with Aliens, bonds, prophecies and amazingness! I had such a hard time putting down the book right from the start- I was sucked in from the first chapter, it doesn't hurt that the first chapter was packed with intrigue and danger. I am a huge fan of whatever Siobhan wants to write, but I will admit that I had a huge level of excitement when I learned that this was an alien reverse harem- which just so happens to be my new favorite obsession.

Tori is our predominant narrator so I really feel like I know her. I found her to be such a sweet, genuine girl, one of those people who is friends with everyone just because she can't help it. Her life is completely destroyed though (for the better, some might say) because everything she thought she knew was a lie and her carefully planned out love situation can't compete with a life long bond that supersedes everything. I can't tell you which Roth brother I liked the best because they were all great in their own way, and Siobhan was able to instill them with distinctive personalities and traits so they each stand out. I will say that Coop probably shines the brightest in my mind, mainly due to his pushy personality and sass I ever so much enjoyed. How about I just take all four and save Tori having to deal with them... no?

I was kept on my toes for the duration of the book because there were so many twist and surprises thrown at me (and of course Tori too!). I found the story to be a perfect mix of drama, action, danger, heat, alieny stuff and humor. I could not put down the book and I am now counting down the minutes until I can get the next book in this complicated, great series. I can say with out any shame that I am totally fan-girling over this world and some very hot, entertaining alien boys.

If you are a fan of aliens or reverse harems, this is a MUST read.

I had no clue what I was getting myself into when I started reading this book. I have read Siobhan's previous YA/Contemporary romance books but none of her sci-fi/paranormal reads yet. I am huge sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal fan so I knew that I would enjoy this book based on that aspect but I was not sure what to expect from Siobhan. It's extremely difficult for authors to write in different genres and be successful in them. However, Siobhan makes it look so easy and natural.

The Lost Savior introduces us into a new world where aliens and other exist that are superior to the human race. Victoria (Tori) is thrown into this new realm of reality when an alien unleashes new things in Tori and she starts seeing and doing things that she has not and should not be able to do as a human.

Then four new students show up at Tori's school and she has this unexplainable connection to them. This does not bode well for her and her childhood sweetheart. They have been making plans to go off to college and start a life together and these four guys are throwing a wrench into the plans when Tori can't explain her attachment to them.

Tori has never been one to keep secrets from her friends and boyfriend. But when she herself has a hard time explaining things, she finds herself spilling lies around every corner to those closest to her. But one thing she can't hide is her attraction to these four brothers and that's enough to cause more problems than anyone needs.

Siobhan does a great job of writing this story and these characters. I was slightly afraid that I was going to be confused or be overloaded with too much information for this story to be entertaining, but Siobhan makes it all seem so simple and put together. There are a lot of characters in not only in this book, but in the story but not once is anything misconstrued or confusing. It's hard to explain but you always know everyone's connection and what role they play.

The Lost Savior is a reverse Harem genre. If you have never read this genre before, you are missing out on ALOT. LOL I came across this genre last year and absolutely love it. In a nutshell, reverse harem is where a female is at the center of interest and 3 or more men are her harem. And no, it's not smutty like it sounds. Yes, there is that sexual attraction, but there is more to it than that and that's what makes the genre so entertaining as a whole.

Siobhan does a great job of keeping everything in balance. She adds a perfect blend of sci-fi into this reverse harem and keeps the romance a great pace. I was definitely pulled into this story from the very beginning and my imagination was running at full steam with this book. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book and how everything plays out in the rest of the series.

I feel like my thoughts are all over the place with this one. I am trying not to give too much away but at the same time, give just enough info so that you have an idea of what you're getting into. So I will just say this:

If you have no problems with sci-fi books, then you definitely want to give this one a try. I highly recommend it.

Reverse harems seem to be the thing this year, and I was very curious to see how this author was going to handle it—especially after reading the blurb. I was not disappointed.

Tori is an average teenager, whose life is running well. She's got friends, a nice family, a great boyfriend and good grades. When she accidentally bumps into a creepy guy at the mall, things race toward craziness. Not only does she feel horribly ill, but as her friends drive her home, the guy drops out of the sky into the middle of the road and attacks. With superpowers. Tori should be scared out of her wits, but instead, a voice brings calm and suddenly, she's wielding powers, which should be impossible. As if this isn't strange enough, four hot guys appear at her school and are so fixated on her, that it's more than weird. Her whole world is about to be flipped upside down, and she wishes it wouldn't, especially since it means that everything she knows might be destroyed.

Tori has bite. She's not a lost teen but stands with both feet in life and is sure she knows what she wants. Pretty much. She's a refreshing character in so far that she does not carry in baggage. Her decisions aren't always great, she sometimes misses the obvious, but then, she is only a teen and manages everything thrown at her fairly well. In other words, she got sharp edges but no more than a normal person, and definitely is a character to root for.

As is with common with this author, the story never borders on boring. Every page brings something new as Tori fights her way to discover the truth and everything else thrown at her. There are intense fight scenes, which hold all the needed detail to keep tension and excitement high. And the emotional development and hurdles leave nothing to be desired. This is a well-rounded read for fans of fast-paced tension with enough character depth to hold the whole way through. Through the science fiction elements in, and it's a treat.

The reverse harem aspect is much better done than I expected. Considering Tori starts out with a long-term boyfriend, who she is very emotionally attached to, this seemed like a strange starting point for a reverse harem. But it worked. Tori's situation unfolds at the right pace to make the transition click. She doesn't come across as an air-headed slut but is drawn into a situation where her reactions are mostly understandable. It's hard not to feel sorry for her 'guy', but the reasoning is steered so she really doesn't have much choice. Her feelings are genuine enough to make her sympathetic.

The four guys are cliche—Mr. Outgoing, Mr. Shy/Intelligent, Mr. Hard/Fighter, and Mr. Cold (to hide true feelings). But they work with the sheer delight this genre holds. Each one holds their charms, and every reader will find their own favorite. It's a bit of instant love, which the author, however, does ground with solid reasons and background information—so kudos on that point. That every alien seems to want to have his way with Tori, even the evil ones, does send things a little over the top, and there are a few scenes and attitudes which pushes this above the PG 13 level and a little beyond that. But it doesn't go to the extreme and remains in the realm for more mature Young Adult audiences.

This was an exciting read with tons of science fiction elements, which keep the reverse harem from taking complete reign and lay the basis for a lot of adventure to come. I'll definitely be picking up book two, and look forward to seeing where all of this is going and what battles the universe holds for Tori. Because it appears that fate has quite a bit in store.

Another great read from Siobhan Davis. I had not heard of the reverse harem genre before this book, and when it was described to me, I found myself a little skeptical. However, I should not have doubted the writing skills of Ms Davis! This is not an x-rated, sleazy or mass orgy read, as I know some 'reverse harem' books can be. This is a science fiction story with a twist. In her usual style, the characters are fully developed and continue to grow as the story unfolds. We learn a lot about Tori/Alinthia as the majority of the book is written from her perspective, although the boys points of view do appear, offering another outlook.

This series, as with her other sci-fi series has the makings of a hit. I personally cannot wait to see where Book 2 takes our 5 Verroneans.

I ship it. I ship it so hard. I'm a huge fan of this author, so I was pretty sure I was going to love this new series. Right away I knew that Tori was my kind of girl. She's good people, but she will definitely kick some ass when it is needed. Jensen. My heart broke for him. I just want him to be okay and hope that he can be happy at some point in the series.

This was the first book I've read with a reverse harem, and I've decided I fully support this concept. Seriously excited for seeing how this progresses in book two. Beck is totes adorbs, and I really like Maddox and Cooper as well. Dane I would like to see throat punched after every interaction he has with Tori, but I'm betting he will improve as the series progresses.

There was so much going down at the end of this, I have no idea where the series will go from here. But I am excited to find out.

The Lost Savior is an incredible start to the Alinthia series. If you have read any of Siobhan Davis’ other books, you might find it to have elements that Siobhan is known for having in all of her amazing stories and then some. I have never read reverse harem before this one, so I am not much of an expert, but I will say that the theme is very tastefully done. This is not even close to a trashy romance novel, so if you are looking for that, you will not find that here; however, you will find a beautifully written and very slow-building(=loads of tension—yum!) romance with my favorite kind of science fiction creatures—aliens. I wouldn’t say that this solely revolves around romantic relationships because we get plenty of action and interesting as well as amusing supporting characters, but let me tell you, the guys are hotter than hot. I also adored Tori's character because she is tough and sexy (but not overly so) which results in all the boys dying to get with her while all the jealous girls wish they were her (myself included), and I can't wait to see her develop into the super strong butt-kicking heroine she is destined to become over this series.

The guys are all delicious and the best part is that they are so different from each other both physically and mentally. You will have fun immediately picking your favorite, but if you are like me once you reach the end, you will be wishing Earth allowed relationships such as theirs. I loved these boys and you will too!

Siobhan gives us little tastes of evil with some of the creepy aliens that are introduced; however, we don’t get to meet the biggest villain quite yet. The ending provides a glimpse at this person, and wowww I can’t wait to see where Siobhan takes this one!

Now that I mention the ending, it is important to note that it IS a cliffhanger, but it is by far the best one I have ever read. It will give you chills and your imagination will run wild as you ponder who, what, when, where, why, and how. I can’t wait because I know it will be phenomenal. I already know that I do not want this series to end anytime soon!

I received a beta copy and volunteered to review it.

I'm not really a fan of alien stories, but this book kept on getting recommended to me in Amazon emails and author newsletters that I thought, well I should just give it a try (btw it's that it is a reverse harem story that helped make my decision as that's one of my favourite genres)
Well blow me down did I enjoy this book! It's engaging and it's engrossing. It's exciting and it's intriguing. All the characters are well built and I loved the story, I definitely got a slight superman feel to some points of it, but it's definitely not a superhero story.
This book is a five star for me. I love being pleasantly surprised on something I'm not sure of and this book more than pleasantly surprised me. I'm really excited to read the next book when it's out.

This is definitely not my normal Siobhan Davis story type- but of course, I should have known it would be amazing, because SD can truly write anything. I’ve not dabbled into her sci-fi series before this one, but I was so intrigued by the blurb, and I was curious about what she would do in the genre. Truth be told, I’m not hugely into sci-fi, and my paranormal tastes are a bit limited- so this was far outside of my normal... I mean alien RH?! But I am hooked on this series!

Our heroine Tori exists in a world full of aliens superior beings, but until a chance encounter with an alien, she was just normal. WAS- because now Tori is changing in very unhuman like ways, and suddenly four new students seem to have some sort of inexplicable connection with her. Her very planned and predictable life suddenly becomes very complicated- lines are blurred, truths are opaque, but destiny is undeniable.

Again, I’m not a huge sci-person, but I felt like I was able to keep up with the intrigue and sci-fi cannon (Siobhan keeps stuff simple and understandable), and Siobhan keeps the romance front and center- tons of sexual tension and chemistry. And these characters are SO interesting and captivating - I can’t wait to spend more time with them and explore their connections further.

But what I loved most is that Siobhan somehow is still telling a relatable and complex coming of age story- alien or no, Tori is just like all of us when we were teens, trying to figure out who she is and what her role is in this vast universe we live in. Siobhan is so crafty at that- taking outlandish or unusual stories and finding ways to infuse the basics of the hallmarks of the human existence...even if in this case, our humans may be aliens.

Holy aliens!! I loved this!! Honestly I read this before listening to it, but listening to it WAS SO MUCH BETTER!!! And I never say that...lol. This group of narrators were tremendous, they totally brought this book to life!!!

I have read the first two books in this series, and now I’m listening to them, and I love this series and can really see it becoming a movie someday!!

It was so much fun in this book, seeing Tori discover she was an alien. Finding out she has four gorgeous alien protectors that she is bound to on a soul level ( oh my!). And then having to try and accept all this and balance it with her “human” life...and sooo much more happens that I won’t say, because spoilers. Lol.

I loved some of the sarcasm and humor in the book. Between the guys, it gets pretty funny. But even with Tori, when she was fighting she would get real sarcastic, reminded me of how Buffy the Vampire Slayer was when she fought. Lol!!!

This is a great series so far and I am really excited about what’s to come!! Don’t miss it!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars
Recommended RH book series y’all.

Setting this book down was so hard to do. Danes was infuriating! Like seriously, he’s a hardheaded ass who needs to pull his head out of sexy bottom. Cooper, omg, I love him! It broke my heart when Jensen was out of the picture. Like really? Why can’t he be one of alinthia’s/Tori’s little harem?

The scene with Dane was hot as fuck. Seriously, the description words used for that scene? Whew. Hotter than the desert. That’s my favorite! And Jensen’s and Coop’s bickering.

Great start to a new series. Reverse harems can be fun or scary...depends on how it gets developed. This one, is on the fun category.

Tori is a perfectly normal high school girl. Good friends, a boyfriend, athletic, and well liked. On a fateful shopping day she encounters a creep with strange powers. The encounter changes her life, with the addition of four extremely handsome men that show up as the new transfer students. The connection is immediate and very visible.

Tori learns about who she is and needs to learn how to navigate her new reality. At the same time, deal with a boyfriend and a group of friends that are more than suspicious of the Roth brothers.

Things I really enjoyed, Tori makes good decisions. Tori is a friend and has a real friend. Tori, while special snowflake, does not seem to be full of it. I really liked Tori! The guys, wow. So there's Dane - the alpha, serious & brooding. There's Maddox - all physical strength and knows a good time. Beckett - the tech guy, shy and introverted, but willing to have fun. Finally, there's Cooper - the pretty boy with all the charisma and charm. So many choices - how will Tori decide? Oh, wait, it's a reverse harem. ;-)

I received a copy in return for an honest review.

I loved this book, I have never read a reverse harem before. The concept worked. If an author says a pig can fly, a pig can fly!

The Star got knocked off for one reason and one reason only. I didn’t like the protagonist, I couldn’t connect with her. May be she was a little self absorbed, and talked about her boyfriend too much.

The story line was good, the 4 protectors each had their own personalities and I liked the love/hate connection Alinthia has with Dane. So much intensity there. With the 4 boys her character comes out more, but the first few chapters it is very Jenson orientated. The more sci fy it got the more I warmed to Alinthia, I’m hopeful her character will develop more in the next book.

The story reminds me of Superman, a super(wo)man with a twist.

I’m looking forward to book 2

All I have to say is YAY another sci-fi book by this author and she has done it in one of my favorite sub-genre.... reverse harem (RH)!! While RH is not for everyone those that like the genre will enjoy this slow burn in it. The world building, as always is strong, just like the character driven characters by this author. I love how this author does all the setting up in the first book so we can have a strong setting for the books we know are to come! I can not wait for the next book in this series, I just know it is going to be one of my favorite this year! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Fantastic, action packed book

I did not know what to expect with this book, but a friend recommended it and I trust her judgment implicitly... so I downloaded it. And boy am I glad I did. I could not put this book down. The story line, the twists and turns, as well as the relationships were so easy to get wrapped up in. On more than one occasion I wanted to smack Dane with a book right in the face. The author's ability to bring the emotion out of a reader is impressive. I can not wait to see what happens next.

Riveting

Typical Siobhan Davis material: action packed, deep characters you really want to get to know, and plot twists you rarely ever see coming! This is why she has quickly become my favorite author. Luckily, she writes fast or her habit of leaving off with a cliffhanger would drive me crazy! As it is I am dreading the 2month wait for the next installment, but I know it will be well worth it when it arrives.

My first read from author Siobhan Davis. I was the winner of Siobhan Davis' giveaway for an audio book copy of The Lost Savior & The Secret Heir. Although I own several of her books, I didn’t own these 2 & had never read anything by her, my loss. Very well-written and enjoyable with captivating characters, now I just need to get the rest of the series, yes it’s that good!

I love reading Siobhan’s books because you can actually see her become better and better with each book.
Now, I’ll be honest with you. I struggled with the beginning. It definitely was not my favorite and I thought I was going to have to suffer through it but no it got much much better. Thank the gods. So right off the bat we get thrown 5 names and brief bios of them which was way too much all at once I kept getting confused who was talking and who they were, obviously we get to know them individually later so it was not a problem then. From there it was just a lot of eye rolling. Either with Jensen and hers corny relationship or her just being totally cool with everything happening. But alas, everything gets so much better once the boys cause chaos. Which is funny, I’m thinking Siobhan has a thing for lots of boys now after the Kennedy boy series haha. And even though there was one really aggravatingly dumb part it was still really good. Bravo!

Great Paranormal Romance

Great Paranormal romance! I love the chemistry between these characters. There were a couple of times where I felt breathless with the edge of my seat heartache drama. Great read. Can’t wait for the next.
