The town of Steaming Springs has been booming for decades on the strength of its bottled water company. However, when company founder Marty Singer turns ill, the company goes bankrupt and the town goes down the tubes. Remaining townspeople are invited to participate in an experiment of sorts at the local high school where anything can and does happen.
