This was a very drama twisted, smexy read. There a lot of characters that played in this fictional story that made it more engaging and gripping. When I read a story I often tend to pull for one character but in this one I found myself pulling for two, Sara and Kingston. Sara is a woman looking to be successful and to live a comfortable, normal life.
Kingston is a man who has married for all the wrong reasons and stuck it out, until he found out his wife was cheating on him. He is Sara's boss and is crushing on her bad, but his moral values to marriage will not let him pursue her until he is divorced.
But then the drama begins as Kingston and Sara's lives become intertwined, not in a romantic way but in a different way. What was is that? You will have to read to find out, but I will say this it will shock the hell out of you, for sure!
I literally read this book during my lunch break. I was really engaged in the characters and the story; the twists and turns. This perfect for lunchtime escape for the dress if work. Really an enjoyable read.
" Tangled" is a short story by Author Phoenix C. Brown. Kingston is unhappily married to his wife & the mother of his children, Destiny. He suspects her of cheating but doesn't want to jeopardize his career and money with nasty divorce preceedings. Sara wants nothing more than to be happy. Being in a relationship with her best friend, Leah, she struggles with how her future will be affected when, and if, she comes out of the closet. Kingston and Sara share a mutual attraction to one another that neither choose to act on. But what happens when secrets are revealed and everything that happens in the dark comes into the light? Everything is not what it seems in this Tangled tale." Tangled" was full of deceit, drama and action. Looking forward to reading more from Author Phoenix Brown.
This story started fair enough, Sara, an attractive woman is attracted to her handsome boss, Kingston. But of course, they're both in a relationship. Fast forward, Tangled sure does live up to its title. There's double crossing and back stabbing happening all over the place. While that was intriguing, I was still left scratching my head. I would have liked more background on Leah's character. I think this would've added more umph to the plot. Overall, Mrs. Brown takes her readers on a ride, proving just how fast one can get caught up!
Get ready for one heck of a roller coaster ride. Tangled by Phoenix Brown incorporated everything I look for in a great read! Properly paced, Character connection,Hot Scenes, Drama and an ending that (keeps you wanting more)while completing the story. My attention was grabbed and kept from page one. You could feel the chemistry between the main characters Kingston and Sarah immediately and then BAM page after page another snag (entanglement) is thrown in.
"Oh what a tangled web we weave when we conspire to deceive." Kingston
This short story is well paced, hot and thorough. If you enjoy short reads Tangled is a must read!
Tangled, a short story by Phoenix Brown was awesome! I loved the personalities of the 2 main characters, Kingston and Sara. It felt as though they belonged together from the very beginning of the story. This story had my head spinning, the affair between Kingston's wife and Leah, Tristan, whom was Sara's ex-boyfriend, and the whole set up was crazy! I just hate it was a short story and I couldn't keep reading about Kingston and Sara. Great job Phoenix!
This short story is a tangled book of suspense, lust and craziness. Sara is attracted to her boss, Kingston but both are a little afraid to move forward with that attraction since they have significant others in their lives. Well, one thing leads to other, and they find themselves in a situation that they had no idea was coming. The author did a phenomenal job of developing the two main characters in this interesting plot.
Quick and thorough...I enjoyed this read, but felt that the story left much to be desired. While the story itself was a common one, this author took liberties in the development of characters and conclusion of events. This is a good read for passing time or a quick distraction...a job well done
I enjoyed this short story!! A lot of twists and turns that I didn't see coming and of course the love story awesome! I definitely see growth in Mrs. Brown writing and plot detail. Great job!
This short story was all that and some! I really loved how the book gave me drama, SUSPENSE, and a good twist in such a short time! Whew! I can't wait to read more by this Author.
Great short read by Phoenix Brown. Well written and even though it was a short story the author managed to make the storyline interesting without it seeming rushed.
On the plus side, despite it being short, it's a complete story, with a real resolution, no cliffhanger. On the minus, there is so much plot and drama and action packed in here that there's no time for much character development or explanations of the sometimes over the top plot points. Couple those drawbacks with a female/female relationship being described as a "lifestyle" and some editing errors and I was left unsatisfied.
Tangled By Phoenix Brown is an excellent short story, the characters will take you thru lots of drama. It's fast- paced with a great story-line. I will definitely be reading more books by this talented author. ~Reviewed By Tiffany Haynes author of Myra's Dilemma series
