Great read

Ms. Phoenix, this is the first book of yours that I have read, I started reading at 8:30 and finished at 5:00. This wae a great read and oh my Kenya reminds me so much of myself minus the abortion and got me to thinking that maybe I need to get back to the basics. I'm so glad Kenya and Deon didn't pan out, I would hace never allowed him back in my life even if he didnt hit on my cousin, I don't go backwards. I was rooting for Kevin. I was mad and happy at the same time with Kenya and Kevin, I was rooting for Kevin from the time he saved her in the club and he held her hair later that night while she was throwing up until they both finally realized that they loved each other. I hope this isn't a stand alone because I would love to see what's in store for them as well as Sarai and her husband getting back together or staying separated and Elijah and Bianca if they really eloped or did Elijah's prediction of her wanting a big wedding actually happened. Again great read and I truly enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this book. Kenya caused me quiet a bit of confusion because her emotions were all over the place and I didn't know what she would do next. Once you learn more about what life has thrown her way, you will understand.

Her mother was a great addition to the story and telling why she held such a resentment towards Kenya. I was glad to see them try to work on their issues.

Bianca - hmmm I wanted to strangle that heffa! Just saying.

I loved Kevin. He was just what she needed. To desire someone so much that even a beautiful woman or a sneaky ex can take her out of your thoughts was so romantic. I love his image of a strong-willed man.

It was an awesome story and I can't wait to read more about Kenya and Kevin soon.

Phoenix has delivered another great piece of literature. She has given us words to contemplate where we are and we might have been in regards to love, life, & relationships. We meet Kenya and Kevin in this story and the life events that causes things to take a few twists and turns. Pick this read up, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Phoenix for sharing a part of you.

Just Ok

All I can say is the book was an ok read. There was just too many conflicts in this story. It times it was very frustrating because it seemed like at every turn the main characters had something going on. There was no real development of the relationship.
