Hadley Jacobs is over Machlan Gibson.

Sure, she’ll always be a little weak to the dimple in his right cheek and the way his five o’clock shadow makes him ruggedly handsome. But that’s not enough to cover every other thing about him because they all drive her nuts. Like how he won’t admit he’s wrong even when he knows it and how he drives his stupid car a million miles an hour on wet asphalt. As she rolls back into town and takes a seat at Crave, she won’t take the bait. She’s over him. Mostly.

Machlan isn’t over her.

It’s not because he hasn’t tried. He reminds himself over and over that she’s not the girl for him. After all, she drives him insane with her sassy attitude and the way she calls him out on everything. She beats him at poker, even though she doesn’t know the difference between a straight and a flush, and when she looks at him with her bright, blue eyes, it’s unnerving. When she climbs onto that bar stool and orders a drink, he puts it in front of her and ignores the sparkle in her eyes. He’s not over her, but she won’t know that.

But she does know that. And he knows she’s not as over him as she’s pretending to be. When life forces their hand this time, there’s more on the line than a pile of poker chips. It’s their forever.

Audio re-read 12/18/18

I did enjoy this story and it was a fun one to listen to but it took me a bit to get into the narrators telling of it. The male narrator sounded like he was in a tin can at times and it made it a little hard to listen to. What I loved about how they told the story though was that they always switched back and forth for the female or male dialogue. So even in Machlan's POV if it was Hadley's POV then the female narrator would speak. I've actually never listened to a story like that since usually it's just always the female voice when it's the heroine's POV and vice versa for the male.

Crave brings us to Machlan Gibson, the broody bar owner of the family, as the one person who can make him crazy drives back into town. Hadley Jacobs knows she's not going to get anywhere in her life as long as she's still hung up on her first love so she has a plan to once and for all hate Machlan and move on with her life without him. But Machlan and Hadley will always be a part of each other and as much as she wants to she'll never be able to hate him.

This book was a very passionate romance, there was so much emotion between these characters that had me captivated by then. It was a very back and forth type of struggle with them where they wanted to not need each other yet they were drawn to one another and I liked getting to see that fight between them. Their story broke my heart a little but it was so worth that pain when it came with such a strong love.

Overall, I enjoyed getting to read this book and get that hidden side to Machlan that we didn't see in the other books. He was the character that I liked the most at those times that he stopped scowling and instead let the caring side of him show. This is certainly a book I would recommend and personally I think it can be read as a standalone.

Crave is simply put, a beautiful love story. It’s the story of how that love survives and eventually unfolds that needs telling.

Hadley meets Machlan at 13 to his 15 years. They grow up together. A young, naive love develops. A love not strong enough to take up roots in the tragedy they face.

Machlan is such a caring character you wonder why he holds Hadley at an arms length when it’s obvious he loves her. As his story unfolds you fall so in love with the man he is and the journey it took for him to get there.

Hadley is a spit fire. Her courage and love knows no bounds. When she loves it’s with all her heart and she goes to the mat time and again for Machlan, only to be pushed away over and over.

Just as the reader hopes for Hadley’s sake she can move on from Machlan and find what she deserves, Machlan receives the best advice that can ever be offered...but it may be too late.

I love the Gibson boys and the series that crossover. Adriana Locke is a favorite author of mine. I have to say, this is her best book to date.

Who needs sleep when you have a Gibson boy waiting on your kindle? I know I sure as heck didn’t!!

Machlan’s story took me by COMPLETE SURPRISE! I was not expecting the amount of angst and emotion that I got! I am still drying my tears as I write this! The one thing I did expect and got ALOT of was tons of laughter!

I love Locke’s ability to write a story that sucks you in from the get go but that is also relatable to life! The characters, witty banter, and emotional situations really bring you the reader into their world! I feel like I was a part of this amazing family and this beautiful town! With each book I read I want more because I don’t want to ever leave!

Machlan and Hadley are some of the strongest and most selfless characters I have ever read! Their story will twist you up in ways you didn’t think imaginable! But their journey, though twisty, is one you want to partake in because gosh that ending wow so beautiful!

I also gotta add that I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Peck because it’s going to be a doozy!

I loved this book!! I’m huge fan of second chance romances and this is a great one. We’ve gotten to know Machlan a little from the previous books in this series. He’s the moody brother who owns the bar, Crave. Hadley is Mach’s best friends sister. Hadley returns home while she’s in between jobs and runs into Mach. Their chemistry is off the charts. I found myself laughing and crying at their story. Parts had my heart breaking but their love for each other is undeniable. This was such a great book and I cannot wait for Peck’s story!!

And Crave I did!

This book is a standalone that is also part of The Gibson Boys series. After reading about the HEA of Walker and Sienna, Lance and Mariah and Cross and Kallie, we finally understand the love of Machlan and Hadley.

I already said this a looot of times on my reviews, and I say it again: I love family series! I love their banter, their inside jokes, their loyalty and all they share together, either is happiness or sorrow, hope or fear.

And I love the families this author writes. And I also love when we see some old characters from other worlds that we love so much, even if we see them just a little bit (yes, we see "people" in this book!).

Second chances are always powerful to read. They are angsty and touching in so many levels. And in this book, it wasn't different.

Had and Mach had been together and apart a lot. Really a lot. And we really don't understand all the whys until they tell us about their past. It was so powerful and raw, so beautiful to read.

And I must confess, I didn't exactly relate to Mach, but I understood him and his actions a lot better after I saw what they went through.

Don't get me wrong, I love him. He is loyal, sweet, so caring with his Nana (which I super love). But his hot and cold demeanor toward Had picked me on my nerves. She was fighting for them, hurting herself in the process trying to save the love they have that is so beautiful. And even though I understand Mac's pain and how he thought he was helping her and giving her an out, I was mad that he made take the "out way", but didn't want anyone going with her.

But as I said, once you understand their past and their choices, things make much more sense.
And I don't remember reading a book where the main characters had gont through what they have. It was sensitive in a way I could never realize by myself.

In fact, the tittle is so accurate, because we could see so many cravings, for so many things, for so many people. And all the cravings revolved around the same thing: love!

This book was beautiful, and the way they built their lives, all of their lives, was envigorating.

And to final: I've loved, I love and I'll love everything this author writes (oh, my, how I miss Max), but I can't wait for Peck!!

I really wanted to love this one, but it didn't quite have the pull that Adriana's previous books have had on me. It was still an emotional and sexy read though and I was so happy to finally have Machlan's story. This is book 3 in the interconnected stand alone Gibson Boys series, but I think it would be best appreciated after reading the previous books since the characters overlap.

Machlan and Hadley were a complicated couple for me. On the one had I really loved them, but on the other they frustrated me so much! Even though I have read the previous books in this series and was aware of Machlan and Hadley's on/off situation, I almost felt like in the beginning I was missing a few chapters. I couldn't understand the anger and hurt these two were dealing with and why things were playing out the way that they were, so it all seemed over the top. There was just so much back and forth drama that it made the story stall for me. The big reveal of their past, though hinted at, felt so drawn out by the time it was revealed. I still loved them as a couple though (once they put aside all the drama) and my heart hurt for them and the decisions that they made. Things wrapped up a little too quickly for me after all that build up and I was left feeling a little unsatisfied as I turned the last page. I know I will get a glimpse of these characters again in the next book, but I had hoped that we would get to enjoy more of the happy after seeing them struggle for so long.

It was wonderful to see all the Gibsons again (love Nana and surly Walker!), and also the little Landry cameo from Lincoln and Graham ;) The banter between the siblings and families is one of my very favorite things about Adriana Locke's books. I'm really looking forward to Peck's book next (though I'm a little wary of the heroine Adriana is going to throw at us) and will cross my fingers that Nana continues making cheeseballs for many more years to come.

My God I love this freaking series!!!

Every time I read a book in this series I think to myself " this is the best one!" And then Adriana releases a new one and the cycle begins. Although Peck holds my heart with his loveable, goofy personality (cant wait for his book) Machlan surprised the shit out of me. I always found him to be broody at times through out the previous books and I couldnt wait to get his backstory.

This story slayed me and gave me all the feels! I havent cried so much while reading in a very long time. The ups and downs Machlan and Hadley had to face were so realistic and relateable that it made my heart hurt for the both of them.

I love Nana and the entire Gibson fam and I hope this series never ends! Unrealistic. I know! But hey, a girl can dream. Right?

“You can’t help who you love. But you can help how much you let them hurt you.”

Brimming with beautiful and addictive angst, Crave by Adriana Locke gives us a sexy and emotional small town romance that is simply…unputdownable. Hadley and Machlan lit the pages on fire with their push and pull, scorching hot chemistry and banter. Hadley is switching it up and coming back into town to once and for all fall OUT of love with Machlan Gibson. She craves for her heart to be open to another, but it hasn’t been possible because the boy she fell in love with so long ago, takes up every inch. Machlan believes he is just a reminder of all of the pain and sorrow he has caused Hadley in the past and he can’t get it through his head that her love for him is real. He feels as if he doesn’t deserve that kind of gift from her. But the minute she tells him the reason she’s back in town, something shifts and his heart craves to change her mind, but his mind knows better than to wish for a happily ever after, especially with such tragedy between them.

Oh, all of the FEELS with this one! I thought my heart was ready for it, but it didn’t stand a chance. I should know better with Ms. Locke behind the pages. I fell quick. I fell hard. I absolutely LOVED this romance! I was surprised at the heart wrenching turn this took, but it made the journey to the happily ever after that much greater. It was frustrating but real. It was sexy and quick witted. It was beautiful and passionate. I couldn’t have asked for a better story for these two incredible and memorable characters.

Loved Hadley and Mach theirs is a second chance that you will not want to miss. I am truly in love with this series but I have to say their story caught me off guard. I had no idea that their past was so detailed and filled with heartbreak and angst ! You certainly always remember your first love but what happens when you get over them. Hadley tried she moved away she moved on but now she needs closure. She is back to her hometown after over a year and she wants to finally put hers and Machlan's past relationship in a nice little box with a neat little bow. You and I know it is not going to be that easy! I fell in love with this couple and their witty banter, sexual energy and complex history ! It was a joy to fall into their world and once again be surrounded by this fabulous cast of characters!

5 MACHLAN STARS!! I loved this book!! This book is my favorite Adriana Locke book so far and is in my top 10 books for 2018. Machlan and Hadley's story is beautifully written and will hit all your emotion buttons. There is so many feels, I was wiping some tears, smiling, mad and all together loving every word. We even get to see some of the Landry's in this story. I can't wait to read Peck's story and see what will happen with him. Make sure to 1-Click this book, it is so good.

I’ve been so excited for this Release so as soon as it landed on my Kindle I went into hiding!
I always had this sneaky feeling Machlan was going to become my favourite Gibson brother – I was absolutely right! The quiet, moody and reserved brother stole my heart!
Saved the best ‘til last! (but then we’ve yet to get Peck’s Story ) and I love a second chance romance!

Even though I found Crank and Craft to be 5 star reads, for me, Mach and Hadley’s story has a wow factor and it gives so much more, it’s deeper and raw, more emotion and more humor!
It’s such a beautiful love story and also unexpected, it’s one that is totally heart breaking, completely gutting and deeply touching, I was so engrossed I couldn’t put it down, devouring it within the day and I really felt their pain through the story.
But it’s also funny and light too!
The connection and chemistry these two have is unbelievable, sparks fly every time they are near and it’s like you can feel the intensity!

In this series the secondary characters are just as loveable as the main, but I think Nana steals the show in this one! I absolutely Loved her !

I adore Addy’s writing, and with this one she definitely brings all the feels – I loved how in such an emotional moment when I was in tears within seconds I could be laughing out loud!

Now it’s countdown to the release of Crazy for Pecks story!!

3 Mach and Hadley Stars

(My musical muse for this book is Lady Gaga A Million Reasons)

I really loved the first two books in this series but this one wasn’t as engaging for me.
In the previous books I really liked Machlan , the youngest Gibson brother and I still liked him in this book. I had sympathy for him because of what he’d gone through losing his parents. I liked his dry wit and the relationship he had with his family. What I didn’t like was the push - pull with Hadley.

These two have a really intense history and I guessed what the storyline would allude to in their past but the outcome was not what I’d expected and I thought that it was written with sensitivity and was well done. The thing was, the reason that Hadley came back to get closure from Machlan , felt flimsy. For me, it didn’t feel like a convincing adult relationship for a lot of the book. Machlan had kept her at arm’s length but she kept pushing forward. Then it flipped. Then it flipped again. And again. If you are a fan of a push- pull dynamic then you should absolutely read this book.

Hadley was a heroine who I liked but again, I didn’t like her with Mach for a good part of the story.

Having said all that , I liked the final third of the book more and Mach redeems himself. There were a couple of scenes where I got a bit teary eyed.

The secondary characters are so strong in this series - you could easily read this as a standalone but the first two books set the scene for character / relationship dynamics. The dialogue between them all is brilliantly done and I think I want Nana for myself please!

So, not my favourite book in the series but I absolutely will be reading Peck’s story. (I’m hoping he doesn’t end up with Molly.....)

HEA? More HFN. The ending felt a bit rushed but there is more to come in the series that I hope will include glimpses of these two.

Cheating? No. Lots of separation (living a good distance apart) prior to this meeting up and they see different people then. But really, these two never stopped loving each other.

The story is special, amazing and wonderful and was one I didn't want to put down. It was also great fun to see more of Peck, as well as catching up with Walker, Lachlan and Nana. There aren't many books that, once I've finished, I want to read again but this is up there on that very exclusive list. Crave is a fantastic read and one I really, really do recommend.

Reviewed on behalf of The Book Boyfriend Addict. A complimentary copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Something in my genetic makeup makes it impossible for me to ignore Hadley Jacobs. It’s like God created me with a chink in my armor, then He created her to fit that weakness, and I can’t get around it to save my fucking life.

Hadley Jacobs has one mission when she returns to Linton, which is to get over Machlan Gibson. Their history is so entwined and he always has and always will own a piece of her heart but every time something starts between them, Machlan ends up pushing her away. In order to move on with her life, she needs to put Machlan behind her. But that’s easier said than done once she’s back in his space and all the old feelings are stirred back up. Is this the time that they finally make it work or is this the time things end, once and for all?

Oh Machlan Gibson, you infuriating man, you! I haven’t seen a character quite as far up in his own head as our poor Machlan was. There were a whole host of reasons as to why he was like that but experiencing his back and forth with Hadley was both heartbreaking and maddening. He was clearly a great guy but he’s spent so long feeling like he wasn’t good enough for Hadley and that she would be better off without him and as a result he ended up sabotaging every chance they had. I felt bad for Hadley because she was on this crazy yo-yo ride with him for many years and any time she tried getting off, she’d find herself right back on it again. They clearly loved each other but they were always battling against it. If you enjoy an epic angst-fest, then this book is definitely for you! It’s quite a journey and as crazy as it made me at times, I loved all the ups and downs and seeing how far they come over the course of the book. And of course, everything is enhanced by the input and support from the rest of the Gibson family that we’ve come to know and love – Lance/Mariah, Walker/Sienna, Nana, and of course, Peck!! I loved seeing them all again and seeing how they all helped Machlan and Hadley on this journey. It’s always good spending time with this group and I am so excited for Peck’s book, he’s been a standout character from the beginning and based on a few things in this book, I think his book is shaping up to be an exciting one!

I’m bound to this woman by scars etched on both our hearts; scars we share with only each other.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. Thank you Adriana, I just love your books and thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment. We have Machlan story and he broke my heart and I am going to try my hardest to not give spoilers. We knew Machlan from the very beginning and in the last book we knew about his love interest in Hadley (Cross's sister) these went thru a lot and at times I wanted to knock out Machlan myself, dude make a decision and stick to it.. Hadley liked ya, but she had to be firmer with him, all in all I was rooting for them from the beginning. And we all love Peck, I mean how can you not? but I am praying, shouting yelling not with Molly, noooooo she doesn't deserve him we want Naive all the way. As I mention we all love Peck and he makes us laugh in every book he is in but I have to say the funniest line in this book to me was from Walker when he said "I don't even know what's happening right, but I want to go take apart a large piece of machinery to convince myself I still have balls." Too funny make sure you grab a copy as soon as it comes out you wont regret it..Enjoy!!! because I sure did.

Can this series get any better??? I LOVED LOVED this book. Obviously machlan had been in all of the Gibson boys books...moody, angry, missing the one girl that he will Never get over, but you don't know their story until now. And it is sososososososo worth the wait.

Machlan's best friend is Cross, who is Hadley's brother. Everyone grew up together and Hadley and machlan fall in love. Things happen, hearts are broken, but that's in the past. This book is in the present, and Hadley comes home one last time to try to move on....but this is a test that is too much for all involved. Their past is so real and raw that I wasn't sure how any relationship could survive...and it doesn't. It really explodes but the funny thing is that these two love each other more than they are willing to admit (or at least Machlan).

I cried in this book so many times, because seeing their broken love hurt them was so sad to me. But then you get Peck and his funny texts and conversations and that made me crack up. I literally laughed out loud so many times because of him...he just cracks me up (and I'm ANXIOUSLY awaiting his book- lordy it's going to be awesome). AND we get special visitors in this book. !!!!!!!!!!Sososososososo worth it!!! I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author, and 5 stars are just not enough. One-click this book right now!!

Really?!?!!! I’m so pissed I can’t see straight. Basically the story is about a desperate pathetic girl fawning over a douchbag with commitment issues, real original. Mach is a self-centered jerk and Handley dotes on him. Moreover, I highly doubt Hadley’s brother, big bad Cross, would allow his “supposed” best friend to keep treating his sister like trash and stomping all over her heart because he is a TOTAL IDIOT!! Machlan has NO redeeming qualities and this story is dumb. Every time he throws poor Hadley a bone she eats it up. It’s almost abusive how he has repeatedly denied her and walked out on her so that she is skiddish toward him and anything he does. It upsetting because the books in this series are really good so far. After reading Swish, Swink, Sway .. series I started the Gibson boys and fell in love. Mach was a great background character in the other books. I was looking forward to his book (hence why I am reading it on the day it was published) but this is just CRAP! I am only at 60% but I can will myself to keep going.

SKIP - read Karina Halle’s Wild Card, Maverick, Hot Shot series instead!!!

These Gibson boys never cease to amaze me. Oh Machlan, one minute I love your swoony, thoughtful, sexy self and the next minute I’m screaming at you. LOL 😊

Adriana has won my heart once again. This time she has blessed us with Machlan Gibson, the broody, cranky owner of the bar Crave. Based on past mistakes, Mach is convinced he’s damaged goods. He doesn’t think he’s relationship material, least of all to his past love Hadley. No matter how hard he tries to forget her, she’s always in his thoughts. Once Hadley comes back town to rid herself of all things Mach, he realizes she’s one mistake he’d make over and over again. Their connection is all consuming, their passion is like no other either have experienced.

Hadley returns to Linton to put her feelings for Mach to rest. She wants to move on from their past, but mistakes they made have bound them together in the most intimate of ways. It’s hard for her to be around him, but she needs to rid herself of this connection, so she can concentrate on her future.

This was a more emotional story than I anticipated. A few sniffles here and there, coupled with some schmexy times and fun banter make this a win in my book. Even though I found him frustrating at times, I loved Mach. It was so easy to see the good in him, it was a shame he couldn’t see it in himself. I loved Hadley and I simply can’t get enough of this family. There is laughter, drama and small-town goodness.

The great family dynamic Adriana creates does not in any way detract from the story of Machlan and Hadley. The banter, the laughs, the guy talk between this family of rowdy brothers is part of the Gibson Brothers experience. They are sassy, inappropriate and all-around fun to be with. I think that's what I love the most about this series. It's equal parts hot and steamy, honest and real with plenty of laugh out loud humor. Don’t miss out on this fun-loving band of brothers! Rest assured they’ll make you feel like part of the family.

Every once in a while a story grabs me by the heart and pulls me along for the ride like I'm actually experiencing the story. I feel it - every ache, every needy longing, every playful flirt, every delicious butterfly. Crave was like that for me. Machlan and Hadley's chemistry was a palpable thing, and I felt it as it smoldered and sizzled and took on a life of its own between these pages.

What I'm saying is: move over Walker and Lance! Machlan just showed up stealing hearts and burning up Kindles like wildfire, and y'all - we never even stood a chance.

**swoony sigh**

This. Book.
It was so good.
SO. SO good.

I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to press pause on the real world so I could spend more time with Machlan and Hadley (and, let's be real, Peck - the scene stealer extraordinaire). I was drawn in completely to their beautifully complicated love story. I laughed. I cried (oh man, sometimes it wasn't pretty). I fell so hopelessly in love with them.

Their story was so authentic. So brilliantly emotional. So wonderfully tender and brutally honest. The writing is smart, interweaving all these emotions to help the reader fully appreciate how deeply complicated Machlan and Hadley's relationship was. The writing is also beautiful, setting my heart aflutter and leaving my copy of this story littered with highlights. This book was so much more than I expected and I am completely crazy about it - fangirling so hard right now over this surly, broken alpha and his fiery, fierce heroine.

Am I making myself clear? I loved it. I love this amazing family and their hilariously heartwarming relationships. I can't seem to get enough of them, and I feel a little lost now that it's over. Crave hit every single my sweet spots - it's heartfelt, emotional, sexy and smart, this was an effortless FIVE STAR read and I am already in line for more! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

The way I wanted to go through the screen and smack Machlan so many times. I swear he made things so much harder for their relationship to move forward. But then I found out what happened and my heart literally broke for them. This is one of the most emotional books of the series for me. I was not ready...

I absolutely loved Hadley as the FMC. She knew what her heart wanted, but also knew she was worth more of the effort. I didn't blame her for pushing for what she wanted and not settling. Watching these two characters try to work through their past and be together was so frustrating, yet so beautiful.

I will forever love the relationship of the brothers and Peck. I'm 100% sure that Peck is going to be my favorite. You just have to love the golden retriever vibes he gives off. He's a drop everything for you kind of man and I am so hear for it. I cannot wait for this man to finally get his HEA.

As always, Adriana put me through the ringer with this book, but it was so beautifully done. I ate up every moment of this book. This wasn't my favorite of the Gibson Boys books but I still loved it!! Some of these quotes...SWOON!

I've really loved the Gibson Boys series and I'm just always glad when another story comes out! You just can't help but fall in love with them :-) And I'm just dying to read Peck's story!

Hadley and Machlan have a history between them and they've loved each other since they were teenagers but something always held Machlan back to take the next step in their relationship. It's made Hadley leave town and now she's back, but not for long. She has taking some time off before she starts her new job but seeing Machlan again makes her feel the emotions all over again. She tries to do whatever it takes to keep her from falling again for his charms but it's not that easy.
Machlan doesn't know what to do with himself now Hadley's back in town. Not that they can hold a conversation without a fight but there's something inside him that doesn't want to let her go. Will they finally be able to get together?...

Loved !!!! Machlan and Hadley had me fully invested in their story.

Crave is a bit of a love/hate/second chance romance and Machlan and Hadley’s story is emotional with some angst that has me torn up.

I’ll admit there were definitely times in this book where I wanted to throat punch Machlan for his decisions or lack there of. And my heart completely bled for Hadley.

The connection with these two was strong and it ran deep. I love when I feel things immediately for a couple and it definitely happened in this book very early on.

I flove Machlans alpha male tendencies even when he had no right at times to try and lay down the law.

Of course we get to see characters from previous books in this series along with Nana and Peck. I freaking love Nana and Peck provides the comic relief especially during some intense moments between Machlan and Had.

Continue to love this series and I absolutely can’t wait for Peck’s story. I’m super excited to see what Adriana Locke has in store for him.

Fantastic read that will give you the feels.

This book! The heartache, angst and love! I loved it! If you really love second chance romance this is definitely one you can’t pass up! Machlan well he gave me mixed up vibes one minute I loved him and the next I wanted to smack him with a pan. Machlan has his walls up and he wants them to stay even though he’s in love with Hadley. Hadley wow she’s one strong woman she pushes and pushes and won’t give up but when you can’t push anymore what to do you do? I loved Hadley’s personality! I laughed out loud many times reading this book and then cried my eyes out for the characters. This book will make you feel all different emotions but in the end love and family are all the matters. 5/5 stars

It was a solid four at first, but I was getting frustrated with Machlan, seriously. I wanted to shake some sense into him agggg.
Even though there is just little conversation with Samuel, I kind of liked him. is that bad? anyway...
I enjoyed it.
