Kristy Robinett (Livonia, MI) is a psychic medium and author who began seeing spirits at the age of three. When she was eight, the spirit of her deceased grandfather helped her escape from a would-be kidnapper, and it was then that Robinett realized the Other Side wasn't so far away. As an adult, she was often called upon by the local police department to examine cold cases in a new light and from a different angle. She gained a solid reputation for being extremely accurate at psychical profiling and giving new perspectives on unsolved crimes. It was then that she began working with a variety of law enforcement agencies, attorneys and private investigators around the United States, aiding in missing persons, arson, and cold cases. Her psychic detective work was recognized in a new series on the ID Network, Restless Souls.

Robinett teaches psychic development and paranormal investigating at local colleges, lectures across the country and is a regular media commentator and has been spotlighted on Coast to Coast, Darkness Radio, ABC News, Fox News and the Ricki Lake Show. She is the author of Forevermore: Guided in Spirit by Edgar Allan Poe; Messenger Between Worlds: True Stories from a Psychic Medium; Higher Intuitions Oracle; Ghosts of Southeast Michigan; and Michigan's Haunted Legends and Lore. I bought this book more than a year ago on a recommendation – and I can't recall why I wanted to read it then ... but the other day I decided it was a good time to pick it up. Easy reading, and Robinett definitely held my interest with the many short stories she shares, from her experiences as a medium/psychic.
I wouldn't say the book was extremely eye-opening, but I did appreciate hearing of some specific cases Robinett experienced in conversations with Spirits. The author also has a chapter on how funerals aren't for those who've passed, but for the family that grieves them, and she discusses at some length, how Spirits 'cross over,' which was interesting to me.

The author of this book is a medium and has always been able to see and communicate with the dead. Here, she shares her own experiences with losing a loved one and how all of us react to the same.

This book consists of short vignettes showing how people have seen others waiting for them on the other side just before they passed away. The author also writes about some of her clients who have sought her out to help them find closure with the loss of a loved one.

Everyone has an opinion as to whether or not they believe in this and the author is not out to convert readers one way or another. However you believe, it is certainly interesting to read about these instances.

Copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I lost my younger brother this past year (he was just 44). It's been a struggle since his death, but I'm sure I've had some signs from him. I can't remember how I came across this book, but it was so timely for me.

I was never one to believe in mediums and spirits, but after experiencing my own signs, I'm not so sure. The author gives lots of different examples of signs (or "hellos from Heaven" as she calls them), which can help those of us mourning to keep a lookout for them as we grieve.

The one thing that irked me is that the book was obviously not edited (I'm a translator and editor, so I'm more attuned to grammar/spelling/style). It could read so much more smoothly if it had a good copyediting done (Kristy, if you read this, contact me :-)).

If you are grieving a loved one, I recommend this book. It's a light and quick read and feels comforting at times.

I think this is my favorite of the books I've read by Kristy Robinett.
The stories are very interesting. Whether you believe or not, there's definitely plenty of fodder for the imagination to ask, "What if?"
As this is one of Kristy's later books, I feel as though her writing is improving, so I found this to be the most enjoyable books by her. Interesting tales of psychic experiences she's had with her clients, and on her own, and an overall hopeful and loving tone to assure readers that death isn't the end of anything, just another phase of life that leads to a different way to live.

It's a good change from reading all the other books on grieving. Reading about potential signs from a loved one helps with the pain and heartbreak. Just make sure you don't get so into it you drive yourself crazy looking for signs like I did. Then get more upset because you don't see them. Some of the stories in this book are sweet and help ease some of the heartache. It definitely makes you consider seeing a medium if you've lost a loved one!

I thought this book was very informative. Reading about stories of people she helped, the dos and donts, and the overall style of writing was amazing. There were a few spelling errors, but that happens! I wish she wrote more on how to actually receive messages/signs. I feel like this book talked about it briefly but not in the way I was seeking. I still loved this book though! Can’t wait to read more from her!(:

Before this book I thought psychics were a joke. I thought I would hate this book, but I miss my grandpa who died a year ago and figured I would give it a read. This book makes me believe that there are some true psychic mediums out there and I will be scheduling a session with Kristy for my grandma this summer. I highly recommend this book!

It gives advice on taking care of yourself while you're grieving and supporting others through times of hardship. You'll also become more aware of your loved ones in spirit and be assured that they're always with you. Give this book a chance you won't regret it !
