Elke won’t give up on the case, though, and she won’t give up on her brother. Even if her holding on leads to gunshots on a cold winter night and blood in the snow.

V J Chambers is definitely growing in me

This is the 2nd book in the series I have read and I can't wait for number 3
I like the characters in the unit and love the fact that they work to prove innocence or injustice

This is what I have come to expect from V.J. Chambers: interesting characters, a good solid plot, and good writing. The follow-up to GRAIN OF TRUTH is better than its predecessor, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes mystery/thrillers.
