WHAT A CRAZY RIDE!

“I was his prey. He’d hunted me relentlessly, and now I’ll be disposed of with all those other women who couldn’t get away.”

Que leitura mais alucinante, aterrorizante e incrível foi essa??!!!
Eu não consegui parar de ler, de pensar e de querer descobrir o que viria a seguir.
Essa história te deixará nas pontas dos pés e prendendo a respiração a todo instante!

“I spy, with my little eye, a little mouse that’s about to die.”

“The hunt for you has been more exciting than I could have hoped for. You did better than I expected. I feel pride for unlocking some fight in you.”

“I learnt the hard way to never go to bed angry because tomorrow just might not come.”

My review for this one is going to be super brief because I don't want to inadvertently give any spoilers away. All I am going to say is that this series has been AMAZING from start to finish. It kept me guessing right up until the very end and ended up shocking the hell out of me as well. Therefore yours truly is going to give this book (and the entire series) two very HUGE thumbs up.

"I spy, with my little eye, a little mouse that's about to die.

So, Oh My this final instalment of this thrilling psychological mind fuck certainly didn't disappoint. I think I need some serious help I'm absolutely addicted to this cat and mouse game between the wolf and poor Morgan.

 photo giphy_zpsnwtvfphl.gif

So right, I'm gonna keep this compact and vague as this is one you just have to immerse yourself and drown in.
This series has got to be one of my all-time favourites.
It had the ability to keep me connected to the wolf, Morgan and Reid even between episodes.
I'm sad to finish but also elated to reach the end of the line here.
I was suitably impressed with the intricacies of this plot, it was ingeniously thought out.
This had everything it needed to keep my attention as a reader and really does stand out in an immense sea of fiction.
This is one series that you really need to give a chance too it would be a crime to miss out here.
Morgan, Reid and the wolf I'm super sad to be saying goodbye to you all.
But also so elated to be finally getting some closure.
I will miss you all.
I was provided with a review copy of "Five Fights " By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Everything comes to a head in this installment of this eerie and highly climactic installment. Who is The Wolf? Will Reid find his wife… alive? All the answers could be found here and they sure weren’t pretty. While I was eagerly anticipating the release of this book, I found it to be over much too quickly. Everything was summed up too quickly but then again, I’m greedy. Without going into everything and ruining the plot of this extremely short book, I’ll tell you that many things are revealed in short order, such as the killer’s identity, the betrayals rife in this small town, and Reid NEVER gave up. Loved that man and his devotion to his wife. Amidst all of Morgan’s endless tears, his fight was something I could always count on. Overall, this series was amazing and if you love a great who-dunit full of psychological torture and mind games and fun, you’ll want to give this series a go!

Well, I hate to tell this, but this story wasn’t what I previously thought. The things happened so fast and some questions stayed without answers.
Unfortunately.

This is book five and the last book in the Game of Life series. Make sure you read the previous books before reading this as this is a continuation of the story.

Well well well. All I’ll say is expect the unexpected. All the way through I kept wondering who the Wolf was or who was helping him. All my guesses were wrong except for one second someone entered my head and I dismissed it thinking my mind is working on overdrive.

I can’t go into the story or what’s happened. I do think these books you need to go in blind & inhale the series like I did. Not sure why the story was broken into five parts. Personally I’d have preferred it in one book or even a duet. Having said that my thoughts on book size doesn’t take away from how I really enjoyed this story. I’ll certainly be reading more from this author in the future.

"I'm mad, in pain, and on the verge of an internal death, one that will obliviate any chance of me coming out of this the same person I once was."

I had really high hopes for this last installment of this suspenseful series. Everything was leading to this peak and I was excited about the bomb to explode.

"I was his prey. He'd hunted me relentlessly, and now I'll be disposed of with all those other women who couldn't get away."

But to be honest, I'm a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, this book was still great, but I didn't feel the thrill like I did with other parts of the Game Of Life series.
I expected a little more from the last part. Like through the last four books we were climbing a big mountain and I expected a exhilarating base jump at the end. But it was more like paragliding flight.

"I spy with my little eye, a little mouse that's about to die."

However, until the very end, I suspected the wrong person to be the wolf (and yes, I'm still not fully convinced that he has totally nothing to do with it :D). Belle worked her magic and would have never really guessed who the wolf really is.
Keeping this a such a super secret that keeps the reader guessing and suspecting and re-guessing is a big talent that Belle showed of in this series.

"I learnt the hard way to never go to bed angry because tomorrow just might not come."

Well, I can't really pin it down to one special thing, why I didn't love this part as much as others did. But I'd say it was mostly I didn't feel the thrill, the angst, the power the wolf had. It felt more distant than within the other books.
Nevertheless, Five Fights is a great ending for this thrilling ride. Buckle yourself up, and enjoy the tour!

"I saved her once, and I'll save her each and every day for the rest of my life."

Book 5 of 5. Conclusion to series.
Multiple POV: Morgan, Reid, Detective West, The Wolf

“I spy, with my little eye, a little mouse that’s about to die.”

Ok. I really need a bottle of wine to decompress. This conclusion was so stinking amazing!! And, finding out who was involved just sucker punched me. He was one of my suspects in a previous book, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking “no way can he be part of this”. WOW. Just, wow.

I can’t say enough great things about this series and the authors ability to weave a tale that breaks your heart one minute and puts you on the edge of your seat for a white knuckle ride the next. Add to that, the twists and turns and absolute mastery at deflection and diversion and you have one hell of a series. This is definitely not my typical read, but I’m not sorry I went out of my comfort zone to experience it.

I loved Morgan and Reid and am sad to say goodbye to them.
The Wolf....burn in hell, dude!!

“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, burn in hell, Red, because I’ve had enough.”

Triggers: the heroine is not captured for the purposes of rape, but she does suffer physically and emotionally at the hands of her captor.

WHAT IN THE EVER LOVING FRICK-A-DOODLE WAS THAT?!?!

I would of never gotten this right, had I guessed. This book blew my mind. This outcome, blew my mind. LIKE HOW??? I don’t even know what to say honestly.

I have been desperately waiting for the ending of this series. I have been on the edge of my seat the whole time. Every time a new ARC would show up on my kindle, I was beyond ready to jump in. Because I had to know more. I had to have more. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought it was HIM!!!!

I know its only a book, but this is a good lesson for life also: you never know who you can really trust. And that is so heart breaking to say, because sometimes the people we put the most trust in and let into our lives, are the ones who screw you over and hurt you the worst.

My heart broke the whole time I read this book. Not only for Morgan, but also for Reid and the kids. But I was so wrapped up in this book, it was crazy. Even though it pissed me off beyond end, to have to wait for the next one, the author definitely knew what she was doing. Because once you read book one, you have to continue. You have no other choice, because you HAVE to know who it is. And she leaves you hanging each and every time. Well played Belle Brooks! Well fricking played!!

Now the search for a book that will keep me on the edge of my seat and hanging on for the crazy mysterious ride like this one did, ensues. Wish me luck!!

Five Fights is the intense, action-filled, and amazing end to Belle Brooks' The Game of Life series. It left me breathless!

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews
Story:
There is still a lot going on in Five Fights, and I was unable to figure out who the Wolf was until it was finally revealed. I had suspected this character, but then thought I was wrong... Basically, I had more or lest suspected every single character there was. And I was completely blown away when it came to who it was that was helping the Wolf. I would have never, ever thought it was that character ;)

Five Fights was incredibly intense, and I am still reeling after reading it. The way the story unfolded was so well done, and the tension was at a peak all through this final installment.

Writing style :
Five Fights is written in first person point of view, present tense, which works extremely well for this kind of psychological thriller. As the reader follows different characters in their own chapters, we learn what the characters know at the same time as they learn it - and it is glorious. Or awful. You know - it can be either.
Feels :
So much tension! My heart was beating so hard, and I almost dropped my kindle at one point because my hands were sweating. I was completely immersed in Five Fights, and went from surprise to surprise.

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Omg... what an adventure it has been. I might have cried a bit if I could be honest with you.

Oh my dear Morgan, you are a fighter. You did it girl! Now you can live the life that will make you happy. It's your second chance. Don't fuck it up.

Oh Reid, your little porcelain dancer is back. Take care of her. She needs you more than you need her. It's going to be tough but you will survive. Love each other. Have your happy end.

What a fucking amazing series it was.

(Reviewed by Cathy Stansell of Rochelle's Reviews)

This was the last book in The Game of Life series. I was so happy to see the ending of this book, but sad for it to end. Never in my life have I read a book like this one. This book is so action packed full of excitement, sadness, love, hate and all other emotions. I could not put any of them down as I was reading them. I WILL NOT give anything away on this review to spoil it for others. I will say this each book will leave you wanting more. And all but #5 will leave you on a cliffhanger but well worth it.

I was all wrong in who I thought the wolf was. Because Belle Brooks can keep you so interested and catching clues that you will think you know who the Wolf is. I also love the way Reid just will not give up.

This book along with the others will make you cry sometimes, at least it made me cry but in reading the last book I cried happy tears also. I can not brag enough for this book. I love Belle Brook's writing and can not wait to read the next book she writes. She is so great at what what she does. Thanks for an over the top book that I want to encourage everyone to read.

I swear that every review I have written for this series has left me more and more in awe of Belle Brooks, her ability to twist a tale and make your head explode whilst exploring and forgetting all reason ! Is just phenomenal !

This is the 5th book and the grand final in this series and boy oh boy what a series !

This book ties up everything and then some, by the end of the book I was still reeling from all the shocks and twists and left totally wanting more !

A superb series, bloody brilliant finale and a series I believe everyone with a passion for the dark and twisted should pick up and read book 1

So simply put

This was a pretty engrossing read. It's definitely dark - no romance. Just thriller, whodunnit stuff. You know those stories where you can't seem to quite figure it out and you suspect absolutely everyone. This was one of those!!! This consisted of five pretty short installments, which I think would have worked better as one whole book. I was definitely invested after Book 1 and was in it for the long haul to figure out who was involved, but more importantly why! Was I shocked by the wrap up? Well, honestly no, but that's because you really do during this crazy ride think everyone was the culprit and try to work out how and why it was them!

Well Belle Brooks not sure if I love or hate you?!?! Loved this series, well written, packed with suspense . NO SPOILERS!! I was totally surprised by the ending, the rat🐀 and the wolf🐺!! I didn't love the ending of this book and the series, maybe because I like to know the ending of the story before the end. I liked it, but that doesn't mean you won't love it. READ the series to see if you can guess who the rat🐭 is, and who the wolf🐺is, and the ending to see how you feel!!

I am so glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone to read this fantastic series of novellas! Ms. Brooks’ writing style is such that you will be fully immersed in her characters and plot from the start.
Morgan, wife and mother, is so strong and courageous, continuing to fight for her life, where others would (and have) given up. She is a player in The Wolf’s psychotic Game Of Life.
The Wolf, hell bent on revenge, holds Morgan’s life in his hand, and plans to squeeze out every ounce of life from Morgan that he can. I absolutely despised his character, but that’s reasonable, right?
Morgan’s husband, Reid, will not give up on finding her. He continually has the “what-if’s” taking residence in his mind... questioning everything he has said or done.
Five Fights is the guy-wrenching conclusion to this fantastic series. I could not put it down, as every time I turned the page, I had to continue to find out what would happen next. I spent a lot of time with my heart in my throat, cheering for Morgan, sharing Reid’s anguish, and wanting the game to end.
I HIGHLY recommend this series; however, I will caveat that with the fact that you need to be prepared for each book to end in a cliffhanger... it is well worth it, in the end!

Morgan Banks had everything.  She had a husband and two beautiful healthy children.  Morgan had a lovely home and an excellent job.  Morgan had loving friends and family.  Morgan also had a wolf.  A wolf that had been unknowingly watching her.  The wolf wanted Morgan to play the Game of Life.  Morgan’s wolf started this game to see if she was a worthy opponent.  When the wolf wins he will have taken everything from Morgan, and he’s determined to win.  Now on the final leg of the game Morgan must survive and try to outsmart her wolf and see who the better player is.

This is the final story in Belle Brook’s Game of Life series.  Reading the first four novellas is a must to follow along with Five Fights.  This is a fast-moving edge of your seat story that makes you question every character that comes across the pages.  As I read Morgan’s chapters there was a constant lump in my throat at the fierceness in her need to survive and return to her family.  Never knowing who the culprit truly is till the very end I was compelled to hang on every word searching for any clue that would reveal the wolf.  A true roller coaster ride of a story I give the whole Game of Life series and especially Five Fights by Belle Brooks 5 stars.

The untying of the knot......

Any extended review of this final instalment, in this intriguing series is pointless...the author has used sleight of hand to distract and discombobulate the reader throughout.... all I can say is this series is so much more than the sum of its parts...

And so the end is upon us....and I am left in awe of this authors ability to construct such a tangled web...of course it is beautifully written, the characters stand up out of the pages, and it is full of suspense and mystery....I defy anyone who has read this series to boast that they always knew what the final outcome would be....in true Agatha Christie style the truth is only revealed at the denouement......

... this story can not be read in isolation; it pulls all the tattered threads together from the books that came before.....my advice is go now and start the journey...the road is full of pitfalls, sharp twists and turns...but the destination is worth it all...I received an advanced copy of this novella from the author.

The most twisted of series that I have EVER read And I loved it!

In Five Fights we get to hear more POV’s than the ones we’ve have heard so far – those of Morgan, Reid and The Wolf. In this final book, it is the voice of Detective West, the man that The Wolf has fancied himself pitched against, that we hear as he works to find Morgan before the game ends.

Right up to this point, Belle Brooks has kept me in a frenzy of reading, of trawling back through the books, looking for the smallest of clue, for a person in the wrong place with the vaguest excuse, and I had my theories, and my suspects. I was closer than I realised, I just didn’t know WHY. WHY?

This is absolutely and without a doubt the most twisted of series that I have EVER read. And I loved it!

Kudos and 5 stars to you Ms Brooks. Kudos.

I absolutely am in two worlds at the moment; happy that the game has come to an end but sad that it has finished. Belle Brooks has delivered a phenomenal conclusion to this five-part psychological series. It was brilliantly executed and the ending was well worth the wait.

This conclusion finally leaves you room to breathe again. What a fight to the death it was. Morgan’s determination is inspiring and the love she has for her family is what keeps her alive and sane. However, you do find out who The Wolf is and hold onto the tailspin that is coming your way because I didn’t see that coming at all.

I highly recommend this series to everyone who loves a psychological cat and mouse games. Well crafted Brooke.

~I spy, with my little eye, a little mouse that’s about to die.~

This whole series moves really fast and keeps you guessing right until the last page. There are parts where you feel like you know what’s going to happen, but Brooks manages to surprise time and time again, showcasing a talent for thrillers. The reader’s attention is captured early on in the first book and continues throughout each subsequent installment. The minute I finished one, I had to start the other.

All is finally revealed. The physical pain and mental anguish that Morgan and her family endure by the hand of the Wolf is indescribable and immeasurable. How can you not be changed after braving such torture?

Such a mind blowing and thought provoking story!

This will be the shortest review in the history of reviews because I simply want to give nothing away!!

But FINALLY we get to the end of what has been an absolutely amazing and explosive series... And I don't want it to end.

Morgan and Reid finally reach the end of their journey.... And what an explosive journey and ending it is!

And the Wolf.... well... just read it!

If you're one of those people that say they don't like novella's; well there's no excuse now! Buy them all and read them back to back!

Absolutely fantastic 5 star series filled with thrills and suspense. It will have you on the edge of your seat throughout!

Holy moly! This final book was everything I expected. It was suspenseful, thrilling, full of action and even full of love towards the end.

I don't want to give absolutely anything away so all I'm going to say is that we finally get to know who The Wolf is and why he's playing games and let me tell you, karma is a witch. Also, my suspicions were correct. I totally knew who The Wolf was... kind of.

I've never been one to love thrillers/mysteries/suspense but I truly couldn't get enough of this series. It is amazing. And now you can read all five books without having to wait for the next one like I had to!

Five Fights is the conclusion in the Game of Life Series, don’t start with this one go back to the beginning!! As with the previous books, Five Fights is filled with suspense, questions and your stomach staying in your throat until the end. Reid as the loving husband who will do anything for his wife. Morgan is being hunted but by who and why? And the wolf who is it and what will make him stop?? Conspiracy theories filled my head but...No spoilers here, just know that you will enjoy this suspenseful series and love every minute of it!!

OMG, I am never going to be able to write a review good enough to do this series justice .

It had me hooked from the very first page of One Fear and left me needing and wanting more until the last page of Five Fights.

The entire series was so well written, every single page sucked me in and brought me into Morgan’s world, going through and feeling everything with her.

Belle is a must read author and no matter what she writes it’s an automatic 1 click! You never quite know what your getting into when you read a Belle Brooks book, but it is so worth it!!!

Five Fights will continue to throw you, but the conclusion is so worth the ride. The entire series was phenomenal and perfectly written. There is never a dull moment when Belle writes a book, of any genre. I was completely and whole heartedly in it. I was invested in each characters life from beginning to end; feeling and going through every emotion they were. Morgan's strength will forever stay with me, as well as Reid's love and fight for Morgan. The Game of Life is a must read series!!
