Before She Can Put the Past Away...There’s Hell to Pay.
Hannah Taylor—the bright, bubbly publicity director of Silicon Valley’s celebrated startup Paragon Laboratories—was kidnapped and beaten. Her bodyguard-boyfriend, Wesley Eden, was shot right in front of her. The responsible party? None other than Chinese mogul Li Na Zhao, who’ll stop at nothing to steal Paragon’s blockbuster biotechnology from Hannah’s CEO sister Lauren.
Now, Wesley and Hannah are back home and on the mend. Their relationship is tested as Wesley struggles to recover, and Hannah, fueled by the injustice of Li Na’s actions, is out for retribution while refusing to acknowledge the PTSD she’s grappling with from her kidnapping. Convinced that Hannah is hiding the truth about her captivity, Wes is determined to find out what really happened while Li Na had Hannah.
Out to protect her loved ones, Hannah is hell-bent on finally taking Li Na down, especially after she discovers that Paragon isn’t the only Silicon Valley company in Li Na’s crosshairs. Naturally, the ethically challenged Chinese CEO likes her position on top and refuses to give up without a fight...
But Li Na hasn’t grappled with Hannah Taylor when she’s bent on revenge.
USA Today and Amazon Top-10 Bestselling Author Leigh James is currently sitting on a white-sand beach, watching the sunset, dreaming up her next billionaire. Get ready, he's going to be a HOT one!
Just kidding! Leigh is actually freezing her butt off in Maine, USA, where she lives with her awesome husband, their great kids, and her BFF Choco the chocolate lab. But she promises that billionaire is REALLY going to be something!
Her books have been translated into German, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Leigh also writes Young Adult Paranormal Romance as Leigh Walker. Her smash-hit series Vampire Royals was previously optioned by Netflix.
Hannah is the third book in the Silicon Valley Billionaires series and while it features a different couple, it is a continuing storyline with the same cast of characters as well as a few new ones.
We met Hannah in book one. She is Lauren's sister and played a big part in the first two books. Lauren is the brilliant scientist that is breaking ground in the Health industry. This has brought attention to Li Na who wants to steal the technology and produce it quicker in China and take the fame.
Li Na kidnapped Hannah to persuade Lauren to give up her technology. In Hannah, we see her dealing with the aftermath and the anger she feels when Li Na turns her attention towards a friend who is also breaking ground on new technology.
I'm enjoying this series. It's a fresh take on a billionaire romance and the suspense in the series keeps it exciting. I just fly through the pages! I love that the author brought Hannah out of Lauren's shadow and showed her intelligence. And we get to see her and Wes as a couple working together. I loved seeing a couple like that!
Nice read! From the start up to the last, I was hooked. Though I suggest to read the first books in the series so you can follow thru the story. Anyway, the story and the characters of this book (and the other books in the series) are amazing. I was easily got attached to them, especially Hannah and Wesley. What I love about this book is that the everything easily fall into place. Loved it!
Loved Wes and his broody brother I see him and Felicia together I really do.
this book is action packed and has you riveted from beginning to end. It was great to see a male hero who was insecure in his relationship at times but would do what was needed for her. He did everything for Hannah Wes did and it just warms the heart.
Wes is a strong, alpha man who has gone through a lot with Hannah. He harbors guilt over what happened but not as much as Hannah. He is also afraid that he is more serious than Hannah is in the relationship. The little jabs that are supposed be be in jest hurt him and it hurts to see. He is full of surprises and very protective and strong. I love how he wants to help and supports Hannah in every endeavour but also doesn’t push her or back her into corners. He gives her the space and time she needs to deal with things. When it gets to where more is needed he does it but doesn’t force Hannah into anything.
Hannah is strong, smart and very capable. Her love for Wes knows no bounds. She has guilt over what happened to him and is afraid because his job is dangerous. But she is also angry. Li Na has messed with her, her family and friends for to long. Now they are fighting back and the danger goes up ten fold..We see treachery at it’s highest and the plan of Hannah’s really is intriguing. Watching it play out was riveting. Seeing the emotions and tension running high while trying to outplay a determined woman and seeing her game and working it was entrancing. Watching Wes and Hannah find their way to be on the same page and work through everything in their minds and hearts was just wow..
The story was told in both Hannah’s and Wes’s with occasionally Li Na’s view. It was great to have even Li Na’s view because you got to see her motivation for being so ruthless. We saw Wes’s determination and love. Hannah’s mind and emotions were laid bare as well.
hannah and Wes you fall in love with. They are strong, caring and kind. they complement each other and support one another. They love one another fiercely. The story is fast paced and riveting. You don’t want to put it down until the end and see what happens.
FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!
This book followed the events of the first two books in the series, so at this point, I feel it safe to say that this is not a standalone series. There are some changes from the first two books, but they came with their own set of problems.
This book focused on Hannah (Lauren's sister from the previous books) and Wes, her bodyguard. A romantic relationship between them seemed implausible because we don't get to see any of the "getting to know you" courting that should have happened. It also seemed implausible because their feelings morphed into love very quickly, especially with everything that was happening around them. There seemed to be very little downtime, little time to process everything and see where they stood. It didn't seem to be a solid foundation to build a relationship on to me.
That being said, I liked seeing Hannah be in a starring role for once. I liked her ideas and felt rather annoyed on her behalf at everyone's "surprise" that she actually had a brain in her head! I really felt that she was being underappreciated before this! I had a hard time connecting with Wes, though, simply because he seemed to be off to the side for most of the book. It felt like he was an accessory, more so than an actual main character.
All things considered, I thought the series was just mediocre. I'm glad things seemed to wrap up in this story, because I doubt I would read any further in the series, if there were to be more books, after what I've already read. I think it may just be a case where I am not a good fit for this author's writing style, but I would have to think twice before making a purchase of this author's work in the future.
Hannah is the third book in the Silicon Valley Billionaires series. For me, it cannot be read as stand-alone because Hannah and Wes are trying to live their lives and move on after the events of the second book. The big bad lady is the same villain from the other two books and the books are very connected. I am thankful for getting all the books for review because I would have been lost without Lauren and Gabe.
I don't want this book to be the last in the series because I feel like Ellis, Levi and Bethany should get their happy endings. We could have a spin-off or something. I am talking about the ending of the series because for the first time, we didn't get the first chapter of the next book at the end like it happened with the two previous books. It would really bug me if we never got to revisit these characters. Another thing that bugs me is that I am not certain how much time passes in these books. For how long was Hannah captive? How much time has passed in this book?
What I liked about this novel is that we got to see how Wes and Hannah were handling everything they went through. They didn't just say, I am good and moved on with their lives and I was glad for that. It was good seeing them having difficulties and showing signs of trauma not because I am a sadistic person but because it felt realistic.
The romance between the two main characters was good, but Lauren's words to Wes made me think about and doubt their relationship. It was possible that Hannah and Wes had stronger feelings for each other because of their traumatic experience. I would have given 5 stars to the book if I wasn't doubting them a little bit.
Hannah and Wes have been rescued from Li Na but it is time to go on the offensive to take her out once and for all. Can the team make this happen and find their happily ever after or will Li Na win?

REVIEW: 3.75 stars --HANNAH is the third (and final?) instalment in Leigh James’ contemporary, adult SILICON VALLEY BILLIONAIRES romantic suspense series focusing on a tight-knit group of friends who work for Paragon Laboratories. This is Paragon Laboratories publicity director Hannah Taylor, and security specialist Wesley Eden’s story line. HANNAH can be read as a stand alone but for cohesion and back story I recommend reading the series in order as there is an on-going premise throughout. Hannah and Wesley’s story line started in book one Lauren.
Told from several first person points of view including Hannah and Wes HANNAH continues to focus on Chinese bio-tech industrialist Li Na Zhao, a woman who is desperate enough to save ‘face’ in light of the recent inability to deliver. From corporate espionage, kidnapping and murder, to stolen formulas, Li Na Zhao will do anything to prove she is number one including destroying the lives of our leading couple. At the end of book one LAUREN, Wesley Eden was in critical condition after taking a bullet near the heart in an attempt to save the woman he loved. On the mend, Wesley, along with Hannah, Lauren and Gabe, and an assortment of security from Betts Security set into motion a series of events and reverse hacking to take down Li Na Zhao, and her bio-tech company. What ensues is the building relationship between Hannah and Wes, and the potential fall-out as Li Na Zhao puts her own set of plans in to motion to destroy everyone involved.
There is a large cast of secondary and supporting characters including Gabe and Lauren, attorney Bethany O’Donnell, and a number of hired security, all with connections to our story line hero. HANNAH is an ensemble story line where any number of characters are front and center as they endeavor to take down the woman attempting to steal their bio-tech discoveries. From Hannah and Wes, to Gabe and Lauren, as well as Hannah’s friend and fellow scientist Fiona, the characters share page time as they battle between themselves and the ultimate evil. I am not sure if the author has plans for a spin-off series focusing on the men (Ellis and Levi) of Betts Security, but here’s hoping.
HANNAH is a story of corporate greed; espionage, betrayal, revenge and love. There is plenty of fast paced action intrigue and suspense. The premise is detailed and complex; the romance is passionate and hot; the characters are colorful and charismatic. Once again, I am concerned, about the lack of government, international and legal interference or concern. I am not sure, if in reality, the ‘gang’ at Paragon and Betts Security would be able to take down a large Chinese corporation on their own

This is the first book I’ve read in Silicon Valley Billionaires series. This is actually the first time I’m reading something written by Leigh James, and I have to admit I am intrigued. Even if I was a bit confused, because not knowing what happened in the first two stories, I actually enjoyed this one pretty much and as fast as I finished it, I’ve started book one. I know it’s backwards a bit, but hey at least I’m happy a discovered a new, very intriguing series.
This book was a mystery, from page one. I was quickly drawn by the plot and by the characters and I couldn’t put my kindle down until I finished it. The author made this story as a perfect “addiction”. Wes, one of our main characters, has been wounded, and now he is recovering. He got shot trying to protect Hannah. Hannah at the same time is trying to recover from the fact that she was kidnapped by Li Na Zhao. All she wants right now is to finally have a chance to bring Li Na in front of the justice.
Unfortunately, life isn’t that simple, as Hannah discovers that her friend’s company is being targeted, and there are also some secrets between Hannah and Wes. They have to work to every single thing if they want to stick together, to resolve all their issues. Will they make it? Is Hannah’s plan going to work in order for her to sop her enemy?
Even if I haven’t read the first two books from this series, Leigh James does a fantastic job at describing and explaining all that’s happened before, so that helped a lot. I didn’t felt like I couldn’t understand the story, even more, it made me more curious. Can’t wait to read more from this author! Absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this series!
Hannah is the 3rd book in the Silicon Valley Billionaires series. We were introduced to Hannah at the very beginning of the series so we got to see who this wonderful woman is and what type of person she is. She is the younger sister of Lauren, the genius who developed a product that would revolutionized the health industry. The storyline is a continuation from the very first book since it has a mystery and high tech espionage involving Lauren's company that Hannah is the PR director for.
In this book, we get to find out how Hannah deals with the aftermath of her kidnapping and watching her boyfriend/bodyguard West get shot in front of her during her kidnapping. Hannah has a lot of deal with trying to get over her ordeal and trying to help Wes heal from his injuries. After finding out her friend is the target of the same person that has been trying to steal Lauren's company and responsible for her kidnapping, Hannah devises a plan to ruin the corporate terror. We get to see how strong of an individual Hannah is and the extent that she will take to keep her friends and family safe. Hannah also tries to deal with her feelings for Wes and her fear of losing him after seeing him shot in front of her. Wes tries to help Hannah work through her issues while feeling a little bit insecure about Hannah's feelings for him.
I really enjoy the romance between West and Hannah but also the way they can work together to bring down the person that has been terrorizing everyone that they love and care of. I love how the women in this series is portrayed as smart, beautiful and courageous.
I was so happy to see that Hannah had gotten her own book in the Silicon Valley Billionaire series. I love a great romance but love it even more when there is mystery and intrigue .. which this series has a lot of. I found the world of Biotech and its intellectual properties super fascinating since it is something that I don't often read about.
I loved Hannah's spunky, go get them attitude in the first two books. This book gave her so much more depth as we realized that Lauren is not the only whiz in the family. There was a lot of emotions going on between Hannah and Wes that I thought Leigh James did a great job writing about. The couple still had that slow burn sizzle underneath all that they had been through and phew was it great.
Overall it was a great series and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I do hope that Leigh James continues the series with some of the other Characters in the series.
Suspenseful romance that you won’t want to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my 5th book by the author, and will always keep an eye out for the next book as I enjoy the multiple points of view. You are quickly drawn into the plot of the story and won’t want to put the book down. Wes is recovering from his gunshot wound from protecting Hannah in a prior book in series. While Hannah is getting ready for work, she receives frantic texts from her friend asking to meet. The person behind Hannah’s company hostile takeover is now targeting her friend’s company. Things go from bad to worse and the secrets that Wes and Hannah keep don’t help. Will Hannah’s plan to destroy their enemy work? Will Wes and Hannah get past their fears and build a solid relationship? You will want to read to find out how it ends.
This book is so amazing, I loved every second of this book. It is a fast paced book. When Hannah thinks everything is going great with Wes, she starts having flash backs about what happened to her while being kidnapped. Trying to maintain she is okay is another story. When her good friend doesn't want to make a deal with the same crime lord who kidnapped her, her friend's husband gets shot. Then everyone's on high alert, to take her down and protect. But can Hannah keep what happened with her in the past and move forward? What a thrill ride, can they take back their lives by standing up and not allowing it to happen? Find out in this fantastic book. I want more!!
If you like hot and sexy stories about danger, espionage, and retribution, you should read this series. All three books have been well written with great detail and intriguing story lines and characters. This one is my favorite.
Li Na is Chinese and wants to make her biotech company the top in the world, but she wants to use the work of others to do it. She will do anything to get the technology she needs. Will Lauren, Gabe, Hannah, Wes and the Betts security team be able to stop her?
Hannah is the third book in the Silicon Valley Billionaires series. I had not read the first two books in the series, so I was very confused when I first started reading but the author managed to fill in the details so I caught up quick. I loved the story line of Hannah & Wes's romance simmering while the person that caused all kinds of trouble for her company has moved on to a friends company. The book was riveting. I highly recommend this book but strongly suggest reading the first two books first. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Hannah was a long awaited sequel to the Silicon Valley Billionaires series by Leigh James. I was so excited to be able to continue the story of Hannah, who was still recovering from her kidnapping by Li Na Zhao. Although she struggles through her feelings, both about herself, Wes, and Paragon Laboratories, she keeps her eye on the prize - to finally bring Li Na to justice. I love how James was able to continue the story with forward momentum, while still allowing the readers to catch up with Lauren and Gabe, from book one and two. This family is tough as nails - and they remain strong to avenge Fiona, Paragon, Lauren, and Hannah for all they have lost due to Li Na. Another great read!
ARC copy for a fair review. I was hooked into the storyline within the first few pages. Even if you haven't read the first two books in the series, you will catch on quickly. The author does a fantastic job of explaining things that have happened. Great writer and would recommend this book even if you haven't read the other books. Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat as I read. I do hope she continues to write in this series. I have found a new author to read.
I love this book and even though I started out reading the third book in the series I was not lost on any of the characters or plot. Easy to follow along and I got pulled in from the start. As the tragic unfolds you are hoping the good guys come out in the end. Wes and Hannah deal with it the best they can. A well written perfectly paced story line. Strong characters you can relate to. A read you will not be sorry you picked up.
This story had me going. I loved all the dynamics of the different characters. I can't wait for the others to pair off. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. I do hope we never see Li Na again! We need a new bad guy in town. I'll be honest at times I wanted to shake Hannah but absolutely loved Wes! Thanks for the ARC!
This book was awesome start to finish not having read Leigh Jame’s books before I made sure I read both Lauren and Gabe before I read Hannah and I could not put any of them down. Super sexy characters with lots of intrigue in the storyline which had me reading well into the early hours of the morning. I can’t wait to read the next in the series
Ok...so look good. This is the last book in this trilogy so I'm rating the trilogy as a whole. I couldn't get enough of these characters. The storyline is very good and it keeps the reader wanting more. But, I just want another book to expand on some of the secondary characters. Great books.
Loved the series. Li Na got what she deserved. Hannah and Wes were thrown together faster then it might have worked out but it worked. Only thing I would have loved to see was Hannah craving a big Ribeye.
I loved how Leigh James made this series! It reads fast, although some parts dragged a little, they built up the scene. Loved the ending because you don’t have any questions to who’s doing what or where.
After surviving a hostage situation and the shooting of her boyfriend Wes by Chinese corporate terrorist Ni La, Hannah Taylor is done. And when she attacks Hannah's friend Lauren, killing her husband? No more waiting, it's time to take the bitch out. Even though Hannah's still a mess from her kidnapping, and Wes is still working to be able to walk, no less protect his woman, the two of them along with their families and friends are determined to end this assault. Hannah has a plan, and it'll take every bit of mettle she and her friends have to see this through.
HANNAH is the first book I've read in the Silicon Valley Billionaires series, but not the first book in that series. I know Ms. James was likely trying to make her characters fierce as hell, but they kinda came off whiny and impotent, just throwing as much money as possible at a problem to try and solve it. Maybe it's because I'm coming in late to the series game, but Wes and Hannah's inability to get back on the proverbial horse, suck it up and fuck it up, just bugged the hell out of me. Wes's power play of getting out of his wheelchair before he was ready and Hannah's enforcing a no meat policy drove me nuts as well. Like I said, maybe I'd find more common ground & empathy if I hadn't come in at book 3, but as it stands, it was more annoying than awesome.
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; some condom use; no BDSM/kink; sexual assault; violence/murder.
OMG I love Hannah so much. Can she get a second book? I want to know more about Gabe's brothers and Wes's people. I want more books. Can we make this a 10 book series???
This just had everything. Recovery and rebuilding after trauma and the power of money. The rich really do not have rules and will do whatever tf they want with little to no consequence. I appreciated the love story of Hannah and Wes.
Yes there were times she came off as kind of an asshole and made assumptions about him but it was acknowledged and she was humbled. I like her way more than her sister. But Lauren and Gabe definitely have better sex lol.
*I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.*
This is the story of Hannah Taylor who after surviving a kidnapping and be beaten, and struggling with seeing her Boyfriend Wes Eden getting shot and nearly dying, she now has the added factor in that the Chinese CEO who kidnapped her trying to steal the technology that her sister Lauren was breaking through then she has to return trying to steal her friends technology from her new start up company. Hannah is about to lose the plot and not realising that she may have PTSD from her ordeal, she seaks revenge on Li Na Zhao who is out to steal yet another company tech. Wes is keeping strong after surviving the gunshot and being in an indused coma he is still recovering and seeing what Hannah is going through and finding that there are some secrets that may not be wise to delve into. Will Li Na Zhao finally get her come uppance, will Hannah and Wes’s relationship stay strong? This was a great suspence romance and I loved all the characters in it. Although this is a standalone book, I would recommend that you read the first books in the series only just to get a back story on the characters. Looking forward to reading the next instalment of the Silicon Valley Billionaires by Leigh James.
OH My God !!!! .... the best of the 3 as it regards Thriller Action ..oh my my ......this new twist was awesome ..the story line even better than Books 1 and 2, a bit of a rush to the finish which was sad , but I loved Gabe Book #2 the best .... Lauren and Gabe made an awesome awesome couple ... and a wonderful story which Hannah ended perfectly . Looking forward avidly to the release of Escorting the ROYAL come June 25th Great job Leigh !!!!
