This book tells about the ancient country of Romania. Romania (ROM. România) is a country in South-Eastern Europe. Population — more than 19 426 550 (2015), land area — 238 391 km2, on both these indicators is the largest country in the region. Takes the 59th place in the world by population, and 78th in the territory.
The Capital — Bucharest. The official language is Romanian.
Unitary, presidential Republic. President is Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Mihai Tudose.
It is divided into 42 administrative territorial units, 41 of which are 1 County and Bucharest municipality, equivalent to the County.
Partially located in the northeastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. In the South-East it is washed by the Black sea. Bordered by Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.
Is characterized by significant ethnic and cultural diversity. The majority of believers (about 87 % of the population) are Orthodox Christians.
Industrial country with dynamically developing economy.
