Silk and Spurs Jessica Porter finds herself in southern Arizona on the Cameron’s Bar C Ranch ready to photograph the ranch and the oldest Cameron’s wedding. When Jessie meets Zane Cameron, she finds herself wishing the tall, dark, and gorgeous cowboy was free.
Lately, Zane has had the feeling that things aren’t as they seem with his fiancée. When she shows her true colors, he calls off the wedding.
Zane feels it’s too soon to fall for another woman, but when he meets Jessie, he just can’t get enough of being around her. It’s not long before the pair gets together and it grows hotter between them than an Arizona summer.
But the black widow won’t go down easily. Zane’s ex-fiancée threatens Jessie and everything takes a dangerous turn…and Zane could lose her forever.
Lace & Lassos: Eight years ago Wayne Cameron hit rock bottom, when Kaitlyn Barrett walked out of his life after she had done everything she could for him. She’d had to do what he couldn’t—walk away from his addictions. Now a decorated soldier, Wayne was Special Forces in Afghanistan but returned to ranching life after an injury taken under fire.
Kaitlyn comes home to Southern Arizona to take over her father’s ranch as she runs away from her demons…and she runs right into Wayne, her first and only real love.
Now that Kaitlyn is back, Wayne is determined to show her that he’s a changed man and that he’s there for her as she faces the darkness that once threatened to consume her. Forces are working against Kaitlyn, trying to keep her from finding her new start. But that same element shows her that she really does need Wayne’s love, help, and support.
Together they work to save her ranch and restore a love meant to last for eternity.
Champagne and Chaps: Sabrina Holliday is ready for a vacation from it all and ends up spending the summer with her closest friend in a small southern Arizona ranching community. After fighting breast cancer and dealing with other life trials, she needs a break in the worst way.
Wyatt Cameron hasn’t met anyone as beautiful as Sabrina and from the moment she walks into his life, the cowboy is determined to make sure she belongs to him. He has to work past her barriers, but nothing is going to keep him from winning her heart.
Sabrina figured she was not in the right place in her life to fall for a man, but men who look as good as Wyatt, with a heart to match, just don’t come along. From the first moment she meets him, she knows this cowboy is different than any other man she’s met.
The quiet vacation is interrupted when a stranger helps Sabrina fix her car. She never expects to get caught up in the middle of a drug war, a war that could cost her life.
Cheyenne McCray fell in love with reading and writing early, deciding in kindergarten that one day she would become an author. Today, she is an award-winning New York Times and USA Today bestselling fiction author who’s sold millions of books worldwide. Having published more than 100 novels and novellas in contemporary and paranormal romance, urban fantasy and romantic suspense, she is now also writing cozy mysteries as Deb Ries.
Chey grew up on a ranch in southeastern Arizona and delights in creating stories of suspense, love, and redemption with characters and worlds her readers can get lost in. Chey and her equally geeky husband live with their two dogs, six ducks (the neighborhood celebrities), and a small flock of chickens in a small Arizona town where she enjoys gardening, crazy quilting and, of course, writing.
This was a great boxset to grab, with 3 standalone but interconnected stories, each focusing on one Cameron sibling finding their HEA. Silk and Spurs is on Zane and Jessie and had an insta attraction element with some danger and suspense thrown in, that kept the story interesting and had me holding my breath a few times. Lace and Lassos is on Wayne and Kaitlyn and had a second chance romance trope with some serious tones of addiction and depression but nothing too deep. My only gripe was that therapy was just brushed off rather than seen as important to recovery. Champagne and Chaps is on Wyatt (who is Wayne's twin) and Sabrina. This one tugged on my emotions and I could really feel for what Sabrina feels and went through. Loved how supportive and loving Wyatt is and the way he celebrated her birthday and proposed was just beyond wonderful and swoon worthy and sweet! The boxset also has an excerpt to the next book in the series (on Dillon and Carly) and I can't wait to delve into the next book/boxset!
3.75 If you like sexy cowboys and some really good suspense I highly recommend this box set. Silk and Spurs 4* I really enjoyed this book it was a good sexy romance with sit on the edge of you seat suspense. Zane and Jessie had great chemistry and I liked the secondary characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Champagne and Chaps 3* This was a good book but I thought it was a little on the slow side but that did not keep me from enjoying it. Wyatt and Sabrina had great chemistry and as in the first book there's a nail butting suspense. I read these out of order so now I need to go back and read the others. I feel these books can be read a stand alone books.
Lace and Lassos 4* This was a very good story and I really liked Wayne and Kaitlyn's characters. I thought they had a sexy hot chemistry and as in the other books a very good dose of suspense. I would highly recommend this series if your like hot and sexy cowboys.
I love this family. I see how they love and support one another and am green with envy. Ms McCray has done an admirable job portraying her characters as real people complete with mistakes, faults, and problems. On the other hand this is fiction :).
I am enjoying this series and look forward to more of the series.
I have enjoyed reading the Rough and ready Series 1 Box Set by Cheyenne McCray. I find them very interesting, just can't seem to put that book down, keeps your mind glued to the story.
This is a really great series. Loved each book. I felt the connections between all the characters. Each story is complete with a happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.
I loved all 3 stories in this set! I especially liked Wyatt and Sabrina's story, as I am facing breast cancer and treatment right now. Can't wait to read the other books in this series!
