The start of a "real world Isekai" type story, this one concerns a 26 year old office lady boss and her 28 year old male subordinate who decide to do dungeon attacks on their offday of the work week (Wednesday). Dungeons are a phenomenon that occurred all over Japan 30 years before our story takes place.
The boss (Kuroki is her name I think) is at first presented as the cocky rookie who doesn't wait for her subordinate's (Makino is his name iirc) commands first. But the narrative has a few turning points as it goes where they start to learn to trust each other. There's a huge turn towards the end of the novel, and the final chapter is fairly interesting because of that, though this turn gets mostly resolved by the end of the book.
This has a volume 2 out in Japan, which I will get to eventually. Hopefully I can do a review for that one too.
The imagery for this particular volume was probably PG13 if you're worried about explicit content. I have seen some of the inserts for volume 2 though, and there is a controversial one in there that represents something talked about in text here but never shown. So just buyer beware for that.
It's not some incredible work of literature. While there is a connected story, the book is basically a collection of separate monster hunts that our partners go on with minimal real world work related occurrences in between.
