This second chance romance is a quick, fun, read.

Tess Monroe leaves her high school love to pursue a degree and life in the big city. She leaves the small town life behind at the urging of her grandmother. However, after returning years later, to settle her grandmother's estate, she sees her ex. Shortly ater, flames are rekindled.

What I enjoyed: The trope is a favorite. I enjoy second chance romances. The familiarity of the characters and their shared history is a major plus! The setup for this one is cute, though not the most original.
I really enjoyed the small town feel. My one issue was the length. I felt the story would have been better served if it was just a bit longer.

This book is as good as it's cover. It's hot and fun, the chemistry is believable, if a little fast (it's a novella so you expect that) and I enjoyed the resolution and the way they handled the idea that Tess had already left the small Georgia town once, would she be willing to stay this time?

Tess and Morgan have a history. They were together in high school before Tess left to go to Atlanta and make a life for herself that was more than a woman living in a small town. It was what her grandmother wanted, and it was what she did. And, in the process, she broke Morgan's heart.

All of this you find out very quickly, as it is a novella there is a lot that is backstory but it works well to move the story forward. I liked the way Ms. Wilde dealt with the reasons Tess left their small town, and the reasons that Morgan would believe she would be willing to stay this time. I liked that it was her choice, and that life brought her to the relationship by choice.

I enjoyed this title, I liked the characters, I thought the connection was strong and I believed that this was about 2 people who were going to be able to stay together, which is always a plus.

I recommend this title.

Tess Monroe never knew who her dad was. Her mom died in a car crash when she was young and she was sent to live with her grandmother. Grandma dumped all her hopes, dreams and expectations for her daughter onto her granddaughter. Tess, feeling indebted to her, did as her grandma expected, not what she really wanted to do. After graduation, she left for college, leaving her personal hopes and dreams and the love of her life behind. It’s now 8 years later, grandma has passed, she’s lost her PR job in Atlanta and left her fiancé. She’s returning to her hometown to settle grandma’s affairs and sell her home.

Morgan Dane never got over Tess leaving him. He’s taken over his dad’s construction company and has a side business building oak furniture. He hasn’t been a monk, dated a little, but never fell in love again.

Tess approaches Morgan to do the restorations on her grandma’s house. He initially refuses but then decides to take the job and enjoy Tess until she leaves town again.

These two flirt and kiss a few times before jumping back into bed. They have honest, adult conversations with no real angst involved. Both have some issues to work through and decisions to make.

This is a short, 100 page, second chance romance set in a small town, and an easy way to pass an hour or two.

What began with so much promise, ended up causing a great deal of pain. Tess and Morgan could be a country love song. Ms. Wilde takes the angst of young love and the heartache of past regrets and creates a tale of new beginnings and a love not easy to forget. Good with His Hands brings the heat, while not holding back the heart. Love, lust and trust is tackled in this sizzling story. Loved it!!! Getting lost is easy in this flirty read.

What a hot, steamy and wonderful second chance romance story Erika Wilde wrote with Good with His hands. Tess Monroe returns home to the small town where she grew up in order to sort out her grandmother’s house. Eight years ago she left the town for life in the city and left behind the only man she ever loved. Tess faces those unresolved feelings for Morgan Kane when she asks him to help her fix up the house. Morgan has never forgotten Tess and needs to see if the chemistry they once shared is still there. Tess struggles to resist this man who is so good with his hands and makes it difficult for her to decide between going back to the city where her life is or give it all up for love.

I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Wilde wrote a wonderful story, with desire, indecision, love, and some steamy, hot sex. She drew me in and did not let go until I turned the last page. I definitely recommend this book to other readers.

I just love this short but oh so sweet and sexy second chance love story! 6 months after her grandmother’s death, Tess returns to her small hometown after 8 years to get her grandmother’s house ready to sell. She knows Morgan is the best contractor in town so she knows if she wants him to do the work on the house she will not only see Morgan again but have to spend a lot of time around him. She totally isn’t prepared for the assault on her emotions and feelings that seeing and being around him again has on her. Morgan has never stopped loving Tess and he wants her to be his again more than anything. He just needs to find a way to get over the hurt he felt all those years ago when she left him because he wasn’t enough.
I never thought of peaches as a particularly sexy or erotic fruit but after this story, I definitely do. And to say that Morgan is "Good with his hands" is the understatement of the century.

Morgan and Tess have a past. 8 years ago she chose to move to Atlanta to pursue what she thought were her dreams. Now she is back in town to repair and sell her grandmother’s home, the home she grew up in, before returning to Atlanta.

Morgan is a handyman and the person she wants to hire to do the repairs. He is also the man she never got over. They come to an agreement, but with they be able to keep it strictly business and their hearts protected?

This was a great second chance romance by Erika Wilde. She brings sizzle and sexiness to this story. I truly enjoyed reading Good With His Hands and highly recommend it.

Tess comes back to Wynhaven to fix up her late grandmothers house and sell it. Or so she thinks that is the plan. She knows that her high school sweetheart is a construction guy with his own business and seeks him out to help her out. However Morgan has other plans and says he is too busy with other projects, so Tess thinks she can find someone else. Morgan soon realizes that if he wants to get her out of his system once and for all, he has to take the job and try to seduce his way into her pants at the same time. He however does not think that all of his feelings will come back full force and that he would fall so hard again for Tess.
Tess tries real hard to resist Morgan, but she just can't. He is her everything and always will be. She never stopped loving him and hopes that he wants more than just a physical relationship.
Tess and Morgan find their way back to each other, but can they get over the past hurt and move forward? Can Tess leave her life behind in Atlanta and find her way in Wynhaven?

Loved this great novella from Erika. A nice quick read that sure gives one an appreciation for peaches.

Good with his Hands by Erika Wilde is a stand-alone second chance book and as usually she has written another awesome book!

Tess and Morgan were high school sweethearts until Tess up and left with the very hard pushing of her grandmother that the town had nothing to make her happy and she needed to pursue life in the big city and make a name for herself. Only problem was Tess wanted Morgan and the small town life but she left to please her grandmother. Now 8 years later…grandmother passes away and she comes back to fix up her childhood home to sell and go back to the city life except she need Morgan’s construction company’s help to fix up the house but Morgan says he doesn’t have anyone to help her… he is still angry with her for the way she just up and left. After thinking about it more Morgan decides to help her anyway if only to seduce her and get her out of his system so he can finally move on. Little do they both know … that sometimes you have to leave and come home again to find what is missing in your life and heart. Can these two put the past hurts behind them and move forward to a HEA or will it just not be their time???

I loved this book. Erikas books are always a good read but there is just something really good about seconds chances and the heartbreaking reasons why things happened the first time around.

Morgan and Tess were a couple 8 years as she lived with her grandma after her mother died. Always a disappointment to her nan Tess wanted to be better and did what was asked of her, even though it left them both with a broken heart and the feeling from her grandma that Morgan would never be good enough for her.

She is back, her grandma gone and a house she grew up in needing some work doing. Back in Atlanta she has no job (company downsized) no fiancé (dumped him) and a limited lease on her apartment. She tries to employ Morgan but he says no but changes his mind. When the house is finished where will she decide to live? It was easy to see from the first chapter that they still had that chemistry but can they open up their hearts again?

It’s true what they say “time heals”. A wonderful read full of sadness, heartache and feelings. Was difficult to see where it would end up after they thought about their feelings. A great book that everyone should read. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an advanced reader copy.

Tess Monroe made a decision eight years ago that changed her life. She left her small town to go to college in the city and make something of herself, as urged by her grandmother who raised her after her mother died when Tess was young. But going also meant leaving Morgan Kane behind, the guy she was in love with. Now all these years later, Tess finds herself back in town, with the goal of cleaning up her grandmother’s house to sell, but she knows it’s too big a job to do by herself.

Tess seeks out Morgan for his help. What she finds is a brooding, sexier, adult version of the man she used to love. Morgan is still bitter and hasn’t been able to move on from Tess. He decides he’s going to help Tess with her grandmother’s house and try to get her out of his system for the last time.

But working so closely together, it’s just a matter of time until feelings are involved again. The question is if once the house is complete will Tess sell and go back to her life in the city or will love finally win out in the end.

Tess & Morgan ...so much history .
Tess and Morgan were high school sweethearts. Morgan thought they would always be together forever and build a life, until the day that Tess didn't think that their little town was enough for her. She thought she needed more. Moving to the big city of Atlanta and attending college would be exactly what Tess needed, so she thought. The big city and suave sophisticated men are not always what you need. The sudden death of her caregiver and loving grandmother brought her back to her small town and the house she grew up in. She is now here and so is he. This is where she fell in love with Morgan and once she returns all of those old feelings begin to stir.
Morgan loved Tess more than anything in the world and her leaving was heartbreaking for him. He never fully recovered from that first love. Seeing her again in his ...their home town is too much and he decides that once and for all he needs to go all in and pursue Tess till she cannot refuse him and make her rediscover the love they once had.

Tess left eight years ago to go to college in Atlanta. She left her boyfriend became engaged and then broke it off. She goes back to Wynhaven to settle her grandmother’s estate and get her house ready to sell. Morgan is a construction worker and build his own furniture. He never stopped loving Tess but doesn’t want to get hurt again. So while he’s doing renovations on her house, he decides to try and get her out of his system.
Once renovations are done and she’s ready to put it on the market, Tess starts having doubts about selling. She takes a long look at her life and figures it’s time to start living her life for herself and not what her grandmother wanted. She decides to keep the house and open a bed and breakfast and she hopes Morgan will be a part of her life.
Second chance love. Sexy handyman. Peaches. Forgiveness. And sex. The only thing was the town, Wynhaven, was mentioned too many times.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for an honest review. Another amazing read by Erika. I’m so loving her books and I’m becoming a huge fan of her work. Tess made a decision eight years ago to leave her small town and Morgan her high school sweetheart and try for something bigger. Sometimes bigger isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, not as happy and fulfilling as she thought her life would be in the big city, but when she gets the call that her grandmother has passed, she heads back to her home town. When these two see each other, sparks fly, they are explosive like no time has passed, but it has and the hurt Morgan felt is still there. Can Morgan get past the hurt and go after the woman he’s always loved and never got over? Will Tess jump in with both feet this time or run back to the big city? Loved this story and can’t wait to see what Erika has up her sleeve next.

First I need to start by saying that I have been a fan of Erika Wilde for quite some time now. She always writes such enjoyable books and Good With His Hands was no exception.

Tess and Morgan were young, High School sweethearts, growing up in the south. Tess's parents are both gone, and she is being raised by her grandmother. Of course, she is easily influenced, and gives in to her Grandmothers wishes for her to move to Atlanta, and leave Morgan, to go to school, have a solid career, and marry a more successful man.

Well, it's been 8 years and Tess is back in Wynhaven, trying to finalize everything after the death of her grandmother, and hopefully patch things up with Morgan while she is home. She still harbors feelings for Morgan, and little do these two know, just how sweet and explosive things still are between them!

This book was sweet with just enough hot and sexy scenes thrown in. I loved the progression with these two and really enjoyed the story!

Tess Monroe hasn’t seen Morgan Kane since she left her small town for the city eight years ago. She left for her grandmother as her grandmother wanted her to go to college and make something of herself. Morgan was devastated, but is still a little in l e with her. He is just going to have a fling with her and then not care when she leaves again.

This was a very good novella. It is about second chances, maturity, and going after what you really want. I felt bad that Tess only had her grandmother growing up and the strong influence her grandmother had because of the things Tess’s mother did. Tess and Morgan were so good together and I loved that they realized they are different people now than when they were in high school. I encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Tess lost her parents early in life, and her grandmother raised her. Not wanting to disappoint her grandmother, she made the decision to leave town and go to college. Eight years later, she has to go home because her grandmother died and she needs to deal with her estate. Morgan grew up and took over running his father's construction business. He also makes furniture on the side. Tess approaches him to ask if he will help her with her grandmother's house restoration. He doesn't want to do it, but then he decides he will, and he and Tess renew their relationship, even though they both know it's temporary, because Tess is leaving again as soon as she gets her affairs in order.

This is a great stand alone second chance romance. It was shorter than I wanted it to be, but I really enjoyed it.

This is a good, entertaining second chance romance for Morgan and Tess. They had a relationship 8 years ago but at Tess' grandmother's strong influence she left for the city to pursue a life leaving Morgan behind. Now she's back to settle her grandmother's estate and then she's going back to the city. Morgan is still hurt and upset with her with what happened 8 years ago. But Tess hires him to fix up and renovate her grandmother's place so she can sell it. Tess starts seeing Morgan in a new light.

For a short story, Erika packs a lot of emotion, angst, hope, and redemption into this story. Hop on for the ride to see if Tess wakes up and realizes what she has and will give up if she moves back to the city. Morgan is one romantic and determined man!

This 69 page short story is a standalone book. Previously published as Slow Hands by Janelle Denison.

Tess and Morgan were high school sweethearts. Tess was raised by her Grandmother from an early age. She wanted Tess to leave her small town, get a college education and "make something of her life". Tess felt obligated to her Grandma for all she had done for her and set aside her own hopes and dreams, including Morgan.

Years later, Tess' Grandma has passed, Tess broke her engagement when her fiancé's family disapproved of her. She lost her job in Atlanta. She heads home to fix up her Grandma's house to sell. Morgan has taken over his father's carpentry business. Tess asks him to help her with the repairs.

They still have their sizzling chemistry, and the inevitable happens. Can they be honest with each other about their real feelings to get their second chance?

A short steamy read between Morgan and Tess eight years later after she left him for the big city. When Tess comes home to settle her grandmother’s estate she asks Morgan to fix up the old house so she can sell it. He agrees but wants more, a fling to get her out of his system once and for all. But what happens when it becomes so much more...for both of them.
A great read and I will never look at peaches in the same way as before. I loved their story, it was short, sweet, steamy and no excess drama as they discover why they fit so well and loved each other all those years ago. It flowed perfectly, the sparks were there, the steamy scenes were sensual and the only thing missing for me was an epilogue....I would have loved to see these two in the future and how her dreams of her home panned out.

Good with His Hands is a second chance romance originally released as Slow Hands by Erika Wilde writing as Janelle Denison.

I enjoyed getting reacquainted with Tess Monroe and Morgan Kane. Tess was pushed by her grandmother to leave Wynhaven 8-yrs ago for a life in Atlanta, and to pursue her marketing career. She left Morgan behind, but now she back to fix up her grandmother's house to sell it. Kane owns Kane Construction and Tess hires him to do the work on her grandmother's house. Will Tess leave Kane behind again once the house is repaired, or will she stay to be with the only man she ever loved.

Eight years ago Tess left her hometown and Morgan, the love of her life, behind to pursue the life that her grandmother wanted for her. All she has to show for it is a degree, an ex-fiance and being laid off from a job she didn’t like.

She has returned home to settle her grandmother’s estate and sell her home. The home needs renovations so she approaches Morgan to complete them and although he initially refuses he doesn’t want anyone else close to her.

Will this be their second chance at love or will she return to the city and leave them both with broken hearts once again?

The love and chemistry between them had not changed over time and it is a story about following your own dreams as that is what will make you truly happy.

Is there a second chance for Tess and Morgan when she comes back to her hometown after leaving him behind years ago?

One thing I both liked and disliked was that it was that the storyline was not complicated but at the same time it felt a little to easy on the boarder of being boring. That’s all the complaints I have so her comes what I really liked:

* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Well described characters
* Lots of feelings
* Hot and sweet love scenes

I recommend this book if you want a sweet, hot, easy read.

This was a fantastic short & sexy second chance romance.

Tess left Wynhaven 8 years ago turning her back on Morgan the man she loved. Now she's back in town to settle her Grandma's estate. Can these two reconcile or will they just be a quick burn?

I loved that Ms. Wilde just got to the point with Good with his hands. There was no extra drivel & fluff put in just to add bulk to it. We got a full story in a few short chapters & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I hope we see Tess & Morgan show up in another book.

I really enjoyed this sexy, second chance romance by Erika Wilde. Good With His Hands is about Tess and Morgan, who are reunited after eight years apart, when Tess returns to their small town to renovate and sell her Grandmother's house. Morgan never got over Tess leaving him when she left for college, but when she hires him to do construction work, he plans on getting her out of his system once and for all. But with emotions running deep and hearts on the line, will Tess leave again?

A fun and flirty and sexy second chance romance involving a couple who were separated when Tess moved away at her grandmother's insistence. Now she is back after her grandmother's death to sell her house but first it needs to be repaired and the best contractor in town is Morgan, the one she left behind. This is a quick read that involves not only the angst of young love but also the headiness of new beginnings. Lots of sexy chemistry and hot, flirty, good time fun. Definitely a delightful read and the best way to spend an afternoon!

I highly recommend this one!

This is a quick read that is very descriptive. It has a fantastic pace, moving quickly to the fun and passionate parts.

As always, Ms. Wilde has a very descriptive prose that lets you get lost in the atmosphere and characters. You can “see” the farmhouse and “smell” the peaches. I love when I can get lost in the visuals of a book.

That being said, I feel like I want more. Feelings were switched very quickly and I so wanted more of the.. angst moments... it seemed to wrap up so quickly.

Overall, it’s a good read and so would recommend.

This was a great fast read. A second chance romance for Morgan and Tess who were high school sweethearts until she left for college. Tess comes back home after her grandmother passes away and needs to fix up the house so she can seek it. Morgan is a carpenter/ handyman and Tess hires him to fix up her grandma’s house. Of course they still have feelings for each other and Morgan does what he can to make Tess want to stay in their hometown once the house is finished. I really enjoyed the sweet storyline and the sex was hot. I would definitely recommend this book.

I love these kinds of story. Short, sweet, to the point, but packs a mighty punch. Tess is returning to the small town and the love she left behind to pursue school and life in the big city. Morgan thinks he can finally work her out of his system in the short time they have together. But there is way too much history between them. Throw in a lot of sexual tension and some ripe peaches and Wilde has crafted the kind of story you can't put down. I appreciate that she's able to put so much into such a short story. Another reason to love her.
