Rate this book
Ancient Mystery – Timeless Love She thought he was going to kiss her and her breath caught in her throat, but his lips barely brushed hers as he smirked and “I will take you to my bed again, Little Slave, when you beg me.” Megan journeys on a dangerous and desperate search to discover who seeks her Scarab necklace before another in her close-knit circle is killed. And she will soon find that some she thought were friends are not, and some she thought were enemies might be the only hope she has. This, the second in the Scarab trilogy, sees Megan, once again, in Ancient Egypt, where she and her friends, the Immortal Chortles, uncover a plot that could threaten the very existence of mankind. But while she needs all the help she can get to find out who is trying to kill her, Megan also finds herself fighting for the love of one she knows no amount of time will ever erase from her heart.

Scarab: Falling Through Time - It's been a long time since I read a book like this. Funny, entertaining, intriguing; all while a good story is being told. This is a well written time travel story with it's own little spin. The characters are developed, but don't expect realistic dialog. We've got Ancient Egyptian that has modern English translations. But this is some of what makes this story funny.
There is a dark side in this story with trying to keep the magical scarab safe and the some of the main characters alive. The reader expects certain things, which the plot delivers but it's how to survive the bad things that is intriguing. I enjoyed this book immensely and have the next book lined up to read. I enjoyed this author's work and contacted her to review her books

Scarab 2: Fighting Time - Cliffhanger. The story continues with more intrigue, romance and all kinds of "out of the pan and into the fire". Well written, still with humor but a lot more darkness in this book. More secrets are discovered and more information found and betrayals abound. The pages fly by with action, suspense and romance. These books are full of personality.

Scarab 3: The Chains of Time - Hang on for a ride; this is a more action packed, adventure filled story; concluding the series. Well written, with humor, along with a gamut of emotions; this story keeps the reader glued to the pages with author's ability to describe scenes, emotions, places, etc. This has been an intriguing, suspenseful, romantic trip through the centuries and then some.

All three books are full of personality and it's difficult to put them down, even momentarily. I've never been disappointed by this author's work and I'm glad I contacted her to review her books.

I so hate cliffhangers.

This was a great book and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Unfortunately like the first book, "Scarab, Falling Through Time" it ended in a cliffhanger. Please Helen Allan, no more cliffhangers.
