It took me so long to get my hands on this volume after season 2 but I finally got it! I'm so happy to see Thorfinn embracing his growth from the previous arc/season and I'm sure he will grow further along the way. His character development and Vinland Saga as a whole is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Ein sehr ruhiger Band, was der Geschichte aber auch gut tut. Das einzig wirklich wilde ist Gudrid, die mir sofort sympathisch ist und mich stark an einen jungen Thorfinn erinnert ;)

I just read a tweet about the last chapter that made me so curious I've decided to give it another go.

And here we go again.

Thorfinn's reunion with his family was so bland I almost didn't believe it was just that. Isn't fair. We spend so much time watching Thorfinn's anger and suffering, hoping he someday could get back to his family, and that was it? Hi mom, it's me. My life was pretty bad the last idk 12ish years? I've killed a lot of ppl. Like.. A LOT. Got my revenge, not proud of it. Hallucinated a little bit with a pile of dead people once. Askelad was there too but he dead... yeah, that's kinda messed up... Well..... what else? oh, got enslaved tho, but now I know how to grow land so I'm ok now, bye.

Gudrid's chapter was really good, she's a great character and I hope to see more of her besides being just Thorfinn's girlfriend.

Questo nuovo arco narrativo è molto interessante, forse è partito un po' lento, ma immagino avrà modo di ingranare dal prossimo volume.

What a fun way to start a new arc! I loved seeing Throfinn reunited with his family. And I love how much Einar is integrated into the family, too.

We also meet a new character, Gudrid, Leif's sister-in-law whose husband has died and she's now being forced to marry the son of the chief. She's feisty and passionate and a little bit crazy, but I know she's going to grow into a favorite character.

I love quest and traveling adventure stories, so I have a feeling this might be my favorite arc yet.

No se si poner todos los tomos de manga que lea, porqué petaria un montón esto y desbarajusta el concepto de objetivos de lectura del año. Creo que voy a poner uno, en representación a todos los tomos de cada mangas qué vaya leyendo, que la intención es que sean bastantes.
Este dedicado a Vinland, empezando por el tomo que continua donde lo deja el anime. El año que viene en teoría acaba de escribirse, no se si pondré algo por aquí, voy por el tomo 25/28 y me fascina. Me transmite muchísima paz. Se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo

This was actually a pretty good volume, as we have Thorfinn and co uniting with his family and then they tell of his story, they are shocked and he tells them of his dream of Vinland but for that they want money, and for that they have to go to Halfdaan and take money from him, he lives in iceland though but Leif's sister-in-law Gudrid is getting married to Halfdaan's son Sigurd and you would think that they would get an advantage but the latter indirectly challenges them to sell Marwhal Horns in Grikkland for him to give them loan to go to colonize Vinland and its a fun twist. There is also the story of Gudrid and how she wants to be a sailor and see those lands but is now married and the volume ends with her running away. Good volume and has interesting portions like Thorfinn swallowing his pride, the story of Gudrid questions societal norms and girls place in it meanwhile we learn more and more of Halfdaan's plans and will he be the next big foe? And the commitment of Thorfinn is something and the next big adventure to Grikklans awaits!

Thorfinn ed Einar vogliono fondare una colonia nel Vinland, ma servono fondi. Vanno da Halfdan per farsi finanziare. Conosciamo quindi una serie di nuovi comprimari, tra cui la groenlandese Gudrid, figlia della sorella di Leif, che deve andare in sposa al figlio di Halfdan, Sigurd detto Siggy dagli amici.
Quindi prima delle nozze Halfdan dà a Thorfinn e Leif dei denti di narvalo perché li vendano a Costantinopoli.
Ma la prima notte di nozze non va come Siggy sperava: Gudrid, presa da un raptus gli pianta il coltello in una gamba e fugge, imbarcandosi clandestina, ma poi scoperta sulla barca di Leif.
Insomma un gran bel guazzabuglio norreno.
4 stelle anche per questo albo.

¡Se abre un nuevo arco! Y se incorpora una personaje nueva que seguramente me gustará mucho: Gudrid.

Por lo que me leí en internet, esta mujer es una especie de icono de la colonización américana, y el personaje que ha creado Makoto Yukimura tiene mucho caracter, así que ahora soy su admiradora.

Se viene un viaje muy importante para los protagonistas y ahora con mayor razón quiero leer los otros tomos a la brevedad.

I have officially surpassed the anime adaptation and I am excited for this new arc, I loved the introduction of Gudrid, I have a weakness for strong female characters and I feel that she has a lot of potential within the story and that ending left me really wanting to take the next Vol.

Oficialmente ya sobrepase la adaptación del anime y estoy emocionada por este nuevo arco, me encanto la introducción de Gudrid tengo una debilidad por los personajes femeninos fuertes y siento que ella tiene mucho potencial dentro de la historia y ese final me dejo con muchas ganas de tomar el siguiente Vol.

been wanting to read the manga after finishing season 2 a few months ago. it picks up well, although a bit slow at times, however the strengths of vinland sagas slow moments are seen with the character moments, especially with the introduction of gudrid and exploring her as a character how she wants to expand her world beyond where she is but because of societal norms and expectations being difficult because shes a woman, her life just feels so limiting.

so in the end, her stabbing sigurd in the leg just capped off the beginning of her development as she is finally as the volumes were suggesting, akin to a fettered tern that chooses where it will fly.

Ce 15ème tome de Vinland Saga marque un tournant important dans le scénario de cette oeuvre qui ne cesse de nous surprendre. En effet, il marque le début d'un nouvel arc qui pourrait bien s'avérer être le dernier. Après l'arc des esclaves qui aura durée du tome 9 au tome 14, ce tome 15 marque le début de l'aventure au sens propre du terme. Car même si on avait tendance à l'oublier à force, Vinland...

Cuando vi el índice y leí los nombres de los capítulos me asusté un poco porque pensaba que iban a ir de otra cosa, pero la historia de Thorfinn sigue su curso sin variaciones y se hace una declaración de intenciones enorme.

Volume 15 – After the Battle
The aftermath is bloody and tragic. Canute consolidates power while Thorfinn, changed and resolute, begins articulating a vision of peace. The dream of Vinland returns with renewed purpose. The war arc ends with loss but also a new sense of direction.

Halfdan might be more of a reasonable man than he was portrayed before. I'd like to explore his character if given the chance. Anyway, a new adventure! Hoping for the best to Gudrid. I hate it when women gets tied up to something they don't want.
