Haunted: Houses, Amusement Parks & Train Stations You’d Be Crazy to Explore…

Rate this book
There does not seem to be any shortage of spirits and apparitions in this world, and they do not seem to be limited by time, place or situation. There is of course the standard bearer of haunted locales, the scary “haunted house” on the dead end street of a dark isolated neighborhood, but there are also instances of haunting that take on many more myriad forms than this commonly overused trope might lead you to believe.

There are haunted taverns, haunted amusement parks, and even haunted subway systems. These events seem to transcend any kind of label or classification that we attempt to put upon them. Whatever the entities may be that are behind these strange occurrences, it is readily apparent that they can manifest anywhere or anytime completely unhindered by any barrier; physical or otherwise.

But if we were to look into these strange hauntings a little bit further we just might find that these frightful specters are just as afraid of us as we are of them. Like some residents of a haunted estate have found that most of the ghosts they encountered were more frightened of them than anything else. The spirits seem genuinely startled when they encounter the living residents of the home as if their mere presence overwhelms them with the sad realization of the lives that they have lost.

So these poor lost souls and earthbound spirits are forever relegated to the hallways of homes, the byways of train stations and the cursed grounds of amusement parks... Sometimes you have to wonder, is it the dead that haunt the living or the living that haunt the dead?

Another Great Collection of Spooky Tales

This is another great collection of eerily haunting tales from author Roger P Mills. His extensive research turns up fascinating facts about places many have never heard of and this book is no exception. Filled with stories of very active hauntings, it is sure to delight lovers of the paranormal. Be sure to check his other books for more great spooky tales.

More than just "things" that go bump in the night

Well researched collection of hauntings that continues to this day. You normally think of ghost stories as being from days gone by but when you know some of the tales happen just a year ago or just an hour away from your home it can cause you to believe more.

Scary as Heck!

The last book I read from this author was more research based. This book had stories that were truly frightening. I was actually hoping that they were just that - unproven myths. But I think these are true!

Just another quick review of a few haunted locations. I recently saw The Fox Hollow Farm haunting shown on an episode of Haunted Case Files... I like how these are real hauntings and the locations are real. You get a little history and some spookyness.

Good storyteller.

The author tells each story well, including vivid details. Just a few spelling errors and word usage issues. Otherwise, great job!

Another great book of ghost stories by Roger Mills. He does well as both a researcher and a writer. Everyone needs to read at least one of his books.
