I had so much expectation from this book. But the story didn’t go anywhere 😩

The characters were not especially likeable, except for Lily. And the ending is just downright disappointing and again not leading anywhere... as if anyone in Nattie’s position would have made the same decision 🤔

I wasn't at all engaged by the MC or the writing style. This was a DNF for me.

Interesting read, but I hated the character Nattie and found her so selfish and horrible towards her husband and kids. I didn’t sympathise with her affair and the end was quite a let down, there was this huge build up to something that never happened. I thought it would be a bit more tragic. Overall, a bit frustrating and meh. She makes bad life choices.

A truly enjoyable read - real characters flaws and all. Grips your heart right from the start and doesn't let go until the last page. Beautifully written and the sort of book that stays with you long after it's finished.
