An enjoyable story for the most part, but I thought it needed just a bit more vitality. The plot is original but sluggish, and the two main characters were rather blah, lacking personality and romantic chemistry. I did not find them memorable, especially compared to the supporting characters. The important themes brought weight and a bit of dimension, but I thought the overall effort just needed a bit more sparkle and shine to become a truly memorable read.

Wow! A fabulous debut from Rachel Fordham!
Both the cover and the description had me hooked when I first saw this on Netgalley, and I'm so glad I decided to read it! It was so lovely to step into this simply-written small-town historical story with heart-melting characters, a sweet romance, and even gun-toting outlaws.
Both Caleb and Em were unique and realistic MCs with so much depth to their characters. I loved their sweet relationship, easy banter, and lighthearted competition. I also loved the secondary cast of Mae and Milly, Margaret, and the Howells, with the exception of Eliza. Her character was a bit . . . odd. I see why she was necessary to show how Em was different, but I feel like Eliza ended up being unrealistic. There are more effective ways to show the contrast, in my opinion.
The story, while a bit slow at times, was heartwarming and enthralling. I loved the contrast of inner beauty vs. outer beauty the author made. I feel like so many romances put such weight on the physical and often forget inner beauty entirely. Fordham did a fabulous job with that subject. The romance was slow and sweet and pure, just the way I like it.
A couple of my quibbles: Eliza, as mentioned above. As well, the writing style seemed a little oversimplified at times, which is probably just my personal preference. Also, some of the dialogue and description seemed historically innaccurate\inauthentic. I'm always a stickler for historical accuracy, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this book too much.
All in all, I greatly enjoyed The Hope of Azure Springs and look forward to reading more from this talented author!

The cover is gorgeous on this book and I was so excited to have a chance to read this debut author's book. The book was an emotional one, Em has had such a struggle in life. Is getting a gunshot ever a good thing? In this young woman's case it was. The back cover with the train on it plays an important part in this story. The book comes full circle in the end. The story was good but fell a little flat in my opinion. I was especially disappointed to see after the hard life Em has that the outcome wasn't better when she searched for Lucy, her sister. Em is a very resilient young woman who has had so many hard knocks in life but warms quickly to the kindness shown to her by the family that took her in and the town's people. The town of Azure Springs will welcome you in with memorable character's . I was also disappointed to not see more of a romance here. Another disappointment was the main character didn't have much self confidence constantly calling herself plain and ugly. She was strong in other ways though to have such resilience to went she went through.

I actually have the honor of knowing this author! We've had many a chat and she has become my favorite virtual partner in crime.
Yes that was a disclaimer! I will try to go into this review with little bias, but c'mon I highly doubt that's gonna happen. It hasn't with any of my other favorite authors. 🤷
The Hope of Azure Springs is what I call the "steak and potatoes" of books. It has its share of sad, depressing moments but OH the hope woven through that spreads like rays of sunshine.
If ANYTHING had been changed in this book it wouldn’t have been the meaty book it is. This book is a cold glass of water in the CF historical romance genre. One that will quench a soul deep thirst!
Em is not what we normally see in Christian fiction. She isn't drop dead gorgeous (though she does almost drop dead 🙊) nor is she curvy or perfect. She's plain and as thin as a twig.
Caleb IS what we see in CF. A tall, dark and handsome cowboy sheriff.
Do you see the conundrum?! Pretty unlikely pair.
The only reason they spent any time together was the threat of bad guys, and all those things...
Though they were shoved together in a very strained circumstance, they became fast friends. They became comfortable in each other's presence and then they started sharing the hurts (and joys) of their pasts.
I'm ALL for quicker romances, but every once in awhile you need a breather from the unrealistic and you need a book that will take you for the LONG haul. This book will do that for you. It will hit you with some serious truths about outward beauty and how to TRULY LIVE and not just survive. There were some mighty fine inspirational thoughts in this book, definitely a story that is sweet but you'll want to chew on it for a few days.
The character development and the change in, not only Caleb's, but the whole town's...and most importantly Em's perspective about beauty was, well...beautiful.
There were some great secondary characters that made the book fun! *cough cough, Margaret*
There were some witty moments, though not a book that is full of humor.
Em had been sheltered her whole life so she was a bit naive, which wore on me a touch...but nothing AWFUL.
Overall it was a sweet read, that was inspirational and so hopeful. It's not fluffy and it isn't perfect...but neither is life. I believe every woman, young or old, should read this book.

The Hope of Azure Springs is a sweet debut. The main story is about Em finding her sister Lucy. They were both children that road an Orphan Train from New York City to Iowa. Em and Lucy found families in two different towns and have been separated for seven years. Em was taken in by a single man that paid little attention to her. A tragedy brings Em to Azure Springs. The story that unfolds shows character growth of Em and several other characters. The ending is incredibly satisfying. Readers that enjoy a well done ending will likely love the ending of this novel. I look forward to what this author will write in the future.

I really enjoyed this story! It's refreshingly different from a lot of other historicals out there, and the characters are fresh and fun to get to know. It was nice to see Em unfold little by little as she got used to being cared for instead of being thrown on the mercy of the land and what living she could make off of it. The descriptions of the area were really good and I loved the humorous parts.
Being a debut, I'm able to excuse some minor inconsistencies in the details and especially in some memories of Caleb's brothers (kept checking the date because they would have had to be so much older than him that they would have been men when he was a young boy and thus the pranks and tricks would have been a bit different.)
I for one enjoyed the realistic bits about the ending, even though my emotions didn't. It was more real and believable, despite having preferred her ending to be perfect.

A delightful debut novel. Rachel Fordham draws a sympathetic character in Em, who grows – and also causes growth in those who come to know her. Caleb is a wonderful hero, strong but flawed, and the romance between Caleb and Em is unique and intriguing. What sets this novel apart is the refreshing message – what is true beauty and how do we perceive it? I highly recommend this novel and look forward to more from this author!

Well, I’m a crying mess now.
This book had its really sad moments, y’all, but that happy epilogue is what got to me.
For a debut author, I thought “The Hope of Azure Springs” was good. I think the dialogue could have been improved, but it was still a good read. This “romance” story is as far from insta-love as you can get, and I love it. Talk about refreshing. Em is regarded as plain (which I do have to say that I believe no one is plain) and Caleb (who could be a bit dense at times, albeit) was more like a friend at first for the most part. The Spiritual Content was light, but so was the romance content. Their very light romance was based on their characters and attitude and it was so refreshing.
Y’all know orphan care is so near to my heart, so it’s probably why I enjoyed this story so much. I will be watching for news about the author’s next book.

I do enjoy a good historical romance and I’m always on the lookout for new titles and authors. The Hope of Azure Springs is Rachel Fordham’s debut novel and she does a superb job of piecing together this inspiring story. It was exactly the book I needed and I loved sinking into it. Comforting, uplifting, joyful and heartwarming, The Hope of Azure Springs was a delight to read.
Seven years ago Em traveled west on an orphan train. After seven years of barely surviving, Em’s only goal is to find her sister. But when her guardian is murdered and Em is injured, she is taken to the town of Azure Springs. There, for the first time in so many years, she is fed, cared for and loved. Taken in by a kind family and protected by the town’s sherif, Caleb Reynolds, Em learns to dream again. But her heart remains focused on reuniting with her sister.
What a stunning and delightful story. At first a little bumpy in places, the tone and flow of the story soon became clear and I was loath to tear myself away from the heartwarming characters and their story of strength, resilience and love. The Hope of Azure Spring feels a little like one of the fairytales so often mentioned within its pages. This book carries a little magic with it and has a style all its own.
Em is a wonderful character. Despite everything that she has ensured and the loss she has faced she is kind and brings a little sunshine to every situation. She isn’t infallible by any means - she struggles with self-esteem and what others think of her and her appearance - but her generosity of spirit endears her to all.
At first, Caleb seems a very incompetent sheriff, bumbling through his first interview with Em. With initial judgements and a harsh tone, he hardly seemed an ideal hero. At one moment gentle and understanding and the next harsh and brash, he is easily distracted by outward beauty and initially discards Em as plain and poorly. Yet, through Em, Caleb undergoes such a wonderful growth in character. Through Em’s strength, kindness and joy, he learns to look beyond outward appearances and to return to the joy and dreams of his youth. The time Caleb and Em spend together as they build their friendship is very sweet. They compete, laugh and work together, building a depth of relationship and connection that was wonderful to read.
I adored the pacing in this novel. Everything has its time, is given its due. There is a little action and tension as they chase and capture the bad guys, but the remainder of the story flows like a gentle stream. Characters are given time to develop, unfold and grow. Relationships and feelings slowly bloom. Time is given to reflection, self-discovery, and to making independent choices.
You can tell the author poured her heart and soul into this book and it comes through every word. Utterly charming and so very romantic, The Hope of Azure Springs was a delight to read. I certainly hope that this debut will not be Rachel Fordham’s only offering, and I look forward to reading anything she next writes.

What a stunning and delightful story. At first a little bumpy in places, the tone and flow of the story soon became clear and I was loath to tear myself away from the heartwarming characters and their story of strength, resilience and love. The Hope of Azure Spring feels a little like one of the fairytales so often mentioned within its pages. This book carries a little magic with it and has a style all its own.
Em is a wonderful character. Despite everything that she has ensured and the loss she has faced she is kind and brings a little sunshine to every situation. She isn’t infallible by any means - she struggles with self-esteem and what others think of her and her appearance - but her generosity of spirit endears her to all.
At first, Caleb seems a very incompetent sheriff, bumbling through his first interview with Em. With initial judgements and a harsh tone, he hardly seemed an ideal hero. At one moment gentle and understanding and the next harsh and brash, he is easily distracted by outward beauty and initially discards Em as plain and poorly. Yet, through Em, Caleb undergoes such a wonderful growth in character. Through Em’s strength, kindness and joy, he learns to look beyond outward appearances and to return to the joy and dreams of his youth. With an eye-catching cover and a new author, I was so thrilled to be able to read this book. There were good reminders of getting past the struggles of the world and facing each day with a smile. Also, the light humor sprinkled throughout the pain and grief created a story that is realistic in all of our worlds.
While I did enjoy this book, I did struggle with being drawn in by the main characters. Some of it was that a lot of dialogue was contrived and didn't fully show the potential of Em and Caleb. Their characters did develop throughout the story, but not as much as I hoped. The ending was a happy one, and yet, I felt there was something lacking to how everything came together. Some details, such as Alroy, seemed to be quickly passed by once it was over.
The romance was sweet. There was a little hint of a love triangle, but thankfully it didn't last long. I liked that the romance wasn't focused on the physical, but on each other's true characters. The spiritual content wasn't heavy...some prayers, mentions of God's goodness in their lives, but not any direct comments about Salvation.
This story will certainly interest western readers, and I'm looking forward to looking out for this author again in the future!

Sweet debut novel which tugged at my heart strings! It took me a little bit to connect with the characters, but I ended up really liking them. I think the author did a great job with stirring the emotions in this one. I also liked that she included a main character that exuded inner beauty more than outer beauty and the lessons learned as a result of it.

I’m always excited to read an author’s debut, especially when it’s in a favorite genre. The Hope of Azure Springs is an endearing historical romance that perhaps doesn’t follow the typical plot of other historical romances. Em, who has lived in nearly deplorable conditions since she was a child, was never shown simple kindness, let alone love. After her negligent guardian is killed and Em injured, she is brought to Azure Springs, where she is given the chance to experience the kindness, care, and friendship of others.
Though at first I worried that Em would come across as too sweet, that wasn’t the case. Willing to work hard to provide for herself, she is both resilient and vulnerable, determined to repay the kindnesses paid to her in Azure Springs. Caleb, the town’s sheriff, seems an unlikely hero at first. Easily swayed by the town beauty and what others expect of him, he at first sees Em’s frailty as a deterrent to solving the mystery of who shot her and murdered her former guardian. As they interact with more frequency, a true friendship develops that was delightful to watch grow. While there were times that I felt the dialogue is a bit awkward, but overall, the writing style has a simple yet endearing way about it that kept my attention throughout the whole story. There are some lovely lines as well:

While there is an antagonist in the story, it’s not a cheesy, cartoonish villain and the amount of time spent on that part of the story was just the right amount. The theme of overcoming tragic circumstances resonated with me deeply while reading this story, and I was surprised by the way the author wrapped up a few loose ends. Though the story does have romance, my favorite aspect is Em’s character development and realization of her own self-worth. For other plot points, while perhaps some of the outcomes are sad, they are also realistic and make for a more poignant ending.
Fordham’s debut shows remarkable promise for her forthcoming novels, and I’ll be looking forward to reading what she pens next.

I think every young girl needs to read this book. Wait. Every female needs to read this book. Who doesn't suffer from some sort self image issues?! This book is beautifully written and has such Biblical truth in it. It even has a fairy tale quality to it as well. The heroine, Em looks like a little girl, but she is actually twenty years old. She is tiny and malnourished and is plain. She knows she will never marry. The hero, Caleb is the handsome sheriff, who has all of the ladies swooning. He finds Em to be different. She has an attitude of gratefulness. She is hard working, and cares for others more than for herself. She also likes to have fun and doesn't seem to care about lady like manners. This speaks volumes because of her childhood. Needless to say, her beauty is revealed through her sweet spirit and soul. This makes me think of the scripture in Proverbs that says that "Charm is deceptive and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be praised." This book made me think and ponder way into the night. Should I be worried about my outward appearance or my inward beauty. Which is going to last? I can tell you at my age, it's what's on the inside that matters and lasts.

Of course being from Iowa I was loving the setting. None of the towns are real, but the very little bit of scenery - the rolling hills of Western Iowa, to the bluffs of Eastern Iowa - kind of made me homesick.
The story of Em is a bit heartbreaking. Coming there on an orphan train, stop after stop, and nobody "picking" her and then someone just saying they would take her because she was the last one left. Her home life was less than, and only to be "saved" because she was shot. But from that she learned humanity, safety, and most of all love. But being looked over on the orphan train, seeing the girls in town who were so pretty, she assumed she wasn't. Little did she know that beauty comes from within, and she had more heart than anyone could imagine.
Sherriff Caleb Reynolds was in charge of finding out who shot Em and through that he learned more about Em than anyone, and more about himself. I loved how they interacted and helped to heal each other after loosing siblings, they had commonalities that others didn't. He also saw her beauty. I loved how their relationship progressed, and it was not a fast paced romance.
I liked this book very much and look forward to spending more time in Azure Springs in the next books.

I loved this book more than I ever anticipated! It was beautiful. The whole story is so good but what I loved the most were the characters. The characters truly were amazing, unique, and special. The kind of fictional characters that feel real because you care about them so much.
Em was such a strong, admirable character and I truly loved her. I connected with her in different ways. I felt so badly for her but I also admired her for never giving up or letting her circumstances get in her way. I admired her spirit and how she was always daring to hope and love and and dream. And Caleb... Ahhh I loved him so much! I pretty much loved him from the first moment I met his character. I just love his ruggedness, the way he cared for Em, his humor— everything! And his proposal was just perfect.🥰
I loved Margeret’s character so much! She was so much fun. She’s a definitely a highlight in this book!
And I love the Howells too. Eliza made me mad a lot throughout the book but eventually I felt for her and started to understand her a bit more.
Then there is the beautiful story itself. I adore the friendship that Caleb and Em have before they really fall in love. It was so sweet and pure and fun! Their tree climbing, their reading lessons, the day they played in the creek (that made me tear up and smile at the same time. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole book!) And the three questions... that was absolutely perfect! I loved it!
One of main things I love about this book is how real, wholesome, and authentic it is. Em isn’t the kind of girl that every man is struck by. She maybe isn’t everyone’s definition of beautiful. She’s a real girl with real flaws. I love the quotes in this book about beauty. One of the most beautiful things I found in this book, and one of the main reasons I loved Caleb so much, was how Caleb fell in love with Em for more than her looks. He doesn’t love her simply because of her looks or what she looks like but first and foremost, he loves her for her. He loves her for who she is. He loves her for her personality, her uniqueness, and her originality. I think that is beautiful.
I also just loved the time period and the simplicity and old-fashionness of it! It’s a wholesome, special book that you won’t find many like today.
There’s a lot I could say about this book, but I think I will end there so this review won’t be a few pages long.😅 The author wrote a wonderful story and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future. This is a beautiful, inspiring, clean, and faith-filled book that left me feeling uplifted, inspired, and encouraged. I would definitely recommend! 💗

Such a sweet and touching read to relax with at night! I stayed up late to get to the end and was not disappointed! I loved the deep message about inner beauty and how everyone has different types of beauty. I also appreciated how it portrayed both bad and good adoption situations. Excellent debut!

This book was absolutely charming, and I can’t believe it took me this long to finally read it!
Azure Springs is the quintessential 1880s American small midwestern town. Add some sweet romance, mysterious villains, orphan trains, heartwarming characters, and you have a winner!
The characters were my favourite part. Em, Caleb, Abraham, Abigail, Millie, Mae, and Margaret captured me completely. And Eliza annoyed me to no end, haha.
And the themes!! This story covers compassion, the danger of gossip, learning to enjoy life by finding joy in the little things & not giving weight to what others think of you, AND the true meaning of beauty—it’s more than a pretty face, it’s a beautiful soul.
I will mention that I read “Yours, Thomas” (also by Fordham) first, and at the time I didn’t realise it was connected to this book. So I spoiled some events for myself. It wasn’t a big deal, but if you would rather avoid spoilers, definitely read this one first. 😉
In short, I laughed and cried over this stunning story—highly recommend!!

Debut novelist, Rachel Fordham, has clearly shown in this book that she has talent. A sweet story focusing on the journey of Em who left New York as a child of 12 along with her 6 year old sister, Lucy, on a orphan train. Beautiful, adorable Lucy is quickly selected by a set of parents, but each time Em is bypassed due to her plain looks, freckled face, and forlorn demeanor.
The characters in the small town of Azure Springs were so supportive and filled Em's life with hope. Her lack of confidence, her plain jane attitude, hid a deeply caring heart that made her beautiful. Sheriff Caleb Reynolds was a perfect hero to help Em find her inner beauty. I really like how he grew as he saw the difference between Eliza and Em. Em's unshakeable love and desire to find her sister was evident throughout the story. Each of the major characters as well as a few minor ones learned that the loss of loved ones wasn't easy but locking away the memory of them only made them hurt more.
Rachel Fordham captured the meaning of enduring love, hope, self-reliance, friendship, and the value of self-worth throughout this story. Excellent novel from a first time author.

This book deserves ALL the stars!! Rachel Fordham got me in ALL the feels with this amazing story!
It has taken me a few days to clear the book euphoria in order to write this review. From the very first page, until the very last words at the end of the story, I found myself blissfully swept away on a current of words. Poignant and filled with emotion, this story is one that is sure to linger with you long after you’ve put the story down.
This story has multiple layers to enjoy. Moments of laughter, and moments that will have you holding your breath and wondering what will happen next. Have a few tissues ready also, because, like me, your emotions might just overflow.
I recommend this fantastic story to one and all, especially if you enjoy mid-western prairie, early American, historical romance. I give this wonderful story 5 enthusiastic stars and encourage you to pick-up a copy to enjoy!

The beginning pages quickly pulled me in, and I was immediately drawn to the heroine, Em. There’s some suspense, but this is primarily a character-driven story, my favorite style to read. This is a heartwarming story of loss, love and resilience of spirit.
I confess to expecting this to be a typical prairie romance, but was pleasantly surprised to find it much more complex. The story combines elements of the orphan train project, going back to Em’s experience seven years earlier, with life on the prairie. Em is a sympathetic character, realistically portrayed – resourceful and able to fend for herself; strong in one sense, yet vulnerable and caring.
Caleb, easily drawn by the outward beauty of ladies, wasn’t my favorite character at first, but that soon changed. The best stories are about transformation, and I enjoyed seeing Caleb and Em steadily grow. I also loved how their romance grew from the solid foundation of friendship and mutual respect, rather than being filled with tension and misunderstandings.
The Hope of Azure Springs is a feel-good story that delivers on the “hope” promised in the title. I look forward to more stories by Rachel Fordham.

What an incredibly precious story! Oh man, I had a hard time putting this one down. I wont give too much away, but Em is orphaned early in life and separated from her sister. She ends up in a place called Azure Springs, years later, and although some of the kindness of the people there aid in healing her body, her mind and spirit are consumed with finding her sister. I won't give away any more than that except to say it's a very sweet story of redemption and healing. It isn't faith based, but is a redemptive story I can't imagine anyone not loving. Absolutely loved this one. Five stars for sure.

What a lovely book! Such pearls within, I can’t even express. I’m richer for having read it.
This is a new-to-me author, and I read that this was her debut novel. Bravo! If this is her first novel, I can’t wait to see what else is coming.
A young woman named Em (only Em, since she never knew if there was more to her name), was found shot and nearly dead from blood loss Having fallen off a horse not far from Azure Springs, Em was taken in by a family who helped her to mend. She was filthy, nearly emaciated, and because of this it was difficult to tell if she was little more than a child.
The sheriff needed to solve the mystery of why she was shot, and who the men were that killed her "foster father".
As time continued, Em's full story came out, as painful as it was. Unable to care for her little sister, Lucy, after their mother died, Em made the decision to take the orphan train with the hopes that they could both be taken in by a family in the Midwest. That dream was never to be. Lucy was separated from her at an early stop, whereas Em rode to the last stop and was never chosen by a family. An older man named George said he'd rake her. But his accommodations were sparse so she lived in his barn. For seven years they barely spoke and had meals irregularly. For seven years her only desire was to one day find her sister.
This is a story of stepping outside the norm of judging a person's plain physical appearance to recognize the true treasure inside. This is also a story of learning one's self worth, strength and ability to be truly loved.
The writing is simple enough for a preteen to read, but with depth enough for all adults. Very clean with lovely faith messages.

Heartwarming and emotional! This one gave me all the feels and I loved every minute of it. So much healing, so much kindness, so much sweet romance. Bring your tissues but don't worry, there is definitely a HEA! 4.5 stars

Author Rachel Fordham’s debut novel is incredible; it will tug at your heartstrings as you’re drawn into the lives of Em and Caleb. Loss through death due to the war and sickness was common but with perseverance healing can be reached. The characters come through as true to life and Fordham has me wanting to visit Azure Springs.
So many unexpected happenings had me turning the pages quickly. Hope for the future kept popping up, even though the main characters tried to squelch it. And we were reminded that beauty is not just outward. A good heart that cares about people has the most beauty.
The orphan trains are often romanticized but due to Fordham’s thorough research, we see that things didn’t always go well. I won’t say more as I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s obvious the author has a heart for orphans, and this story often had me fighting tears. If you enjoy historical fiction, this book is a must read!

The setting is Azure Springs, Iowa circa 1881. The circumstance is an injured young woman named Em with an unknown background. She’s taken in by the kindhearted Howell family and under the protection of Caleb Reynolds, town sheriff. Learning of bandits who killed & robbed her guardian, he vows to bring them to justice while making sure she’s in safe hands. What he didn’t count on was the more time he spent with Em, the more his heart becomes entangled with hers. Perhaps God brought these two together for love & healing!
My heart ached learning all the things Em’s been through in her young life. Losing both parents when a fever raged through her hometown & her sister when they were separated on the Orphan train. Then to top it off, she was attacked by three men who left her for dead and killed George her guardian. She’s shown the kindness of strangers when the Howell’s take her in to recover. That’s one family I wished was my own! The two youngest sisters Milly & Mae bring her much happiness and helps fill the ache inside her for her own sister. These two are bright sunshine in a world of darkness; their laughter and fun will have them wrapped around your finger! The whole town takes her under their wings and shows her love and kindness, something she hasn’t felt for a long time since losing her parents as a child. Caleb was a hero in every form you’d imagine. He not only looked out for Em’s safety but befriended her without judgment. He’s kindhearted, a good listener and brings humor & laughter to Em’s world. Mae & Milly even call him the prince of Azure Springs! He’s the epitome of every woman’s dream.
I have to be honest & fair in my review, so here are a few things I didn’t care for; Em struggles throughout the book with feeling insecure. She was surrounded by people who showed her kindness and tried to help her see the potential she had inside of her. Understandably she has been through the wringer in life, but I really wanted to see more character growth. That’s an important aspect in a story for me, seeing the character growth as it helps me see areas in my life that I can work on too. Eliza, for instance, had character growth; she wasn’t the same person at the end of the book as she was in the beginning. Secondly, this being labeled as Christian or inspirational fiction, I didn’t see a lot of aspects you’d come to expect from a Christian fiction book. There was very little mention of God or how the characters relied on Him throughout the story. It’s a reason I stick with this genre because I need to see faith play a role in a book. I had a hard time really connecting with the story as good as it was; I really wanted to like it more than I did!
Conclusion; it’s a wonderful story, lots of emotions, well-written, good characters, a great town that helps each other, and the eventual happily-ever-after I love about romance. Just because it didn’t engage me as much as I wanted it to, doesn’t mean it won’t for other readers. I’d encourage you to come to your own conclusion after reading it for yourself!
