3.5 stars Charming and interesting anecdotes of a life well lived. Not as meandersome and thus not as personally loved as his other book. But still a heck of a companionable read.
A great collections of well written accounts from the author's journey by bicycle in foreign countries. This book brings a new perspective to getting outside your comfort zone.
A good read. We had the pleasure of hearing/seeing Willie performed parts of this book while attending LAB's Rally in 1998, and again in 2000 during his book tour with Metal Cowboy. If you ever get a chance to see him in person his book, do not pass it up. That performance alone made the Rally worth going to.
Recommended to those who like travel and/or bicycles.
These 60-or-so short essays (1 - 2 pages each) read quickly; I don't know as I'd really call this a "book" as much as a collection. Probably best to read each of the three sections separately as a unit - anything less wouldn't be enough content, while the tiny chapters would prove rather tedious much longer. Recommended, despite the odd format.
