This was really enjoyable to read, even without the romance (which, btw, is not necessarily needed for a book to be good). But sometimes there are certain parts where it's getting kinda predictable, and Loki, one of the main characters, has too much resemblance to Sherlock Holmes. But I think it's not that bad, especially since this book is (maybe, I'm not sure) inspired by the series.

If you're an avid fan of murder-mystery novels and loves to make your own deductions thus you take every cases seriously (like me). Then this is not a book for you. But if you just wanna jam with the characters throughout their adventures, I advise that don't take it seriously.

[DISCLAIMER: THIS WILL CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS FROM THE FIRST BOOK

It sets off the mood ng pagbabasa.

Sepaking of Dialogues.

"Your gown is perfect for this game, don't you think? You're like a princess who needs a saviour" -Maggie

Maybe it's just me. Pero parang ang cliché ng dialogue na yan and it's uncanny. Also, sometimes yung ibang mga dialogues (specifically yung kay Loki) it's pushing its way para maging quote, yun yung feeling ko dahil it doesn't comes off natural.

For the Characters. But other than that nakakatuwa ang interactions nilang dalawa

Si Luther at si Maggie naman. I think napaka-one dimentional nila. Y'all know why? But I do see him na "namanipulate" niya si Maggie but I want to see him in action.

Si Rosetta, another one dimensional character. Well, she's a friend of Lorelei na nakatira sa White Hostel ma kasama sa Paranormal Club. And that's it. So far, wala nang iba.

Idk.

In addition, yung mga mysteries na nandito sa Project Loki ay mabilis ko lang malutas bago pa man ito mailabas. Pero, I somehow enjoyed it kahit na may mga errors dahil I'm intrigued kung ano pa ang mangyayari sa plot. So I'll give it 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟

why are the admins of the school not doing anything about the murders and mysteries in their school 😭 are they unaware of what's happening or do they just not care about their students? and why is there a case almost everyday? minus one star for those unrealistic parts and also bcus jamie annoys me.

+ i know this is fiction, it's not reality, but come on 😑 these high schoolers are solving cases almost everyday and no one's asking why they're allowing students to be involved in solving it. and no one was questioning why there were so much murders in their school. bffr, good book tho 😁😁

AH! YES! FINALLY!

Loki and Lorelei holds a special place in my heart. I can't help but to re-read it again. The book is action packed, good as a starting point for detective genre. Since day one, anticipated ko na ang mala Sherlock Holmes mystery ng plot. The more I read, the more I learn. HAHA.

I'm halfway volume 2 na. It gets better and better.

Decided to give this a try since I've heard so many good things about it. It's a mystery story and I rarely see wattpad books in that genre plus I heard the author is a fan of Detective Conan so I was more intrigued whether or not this will have the same type of mysteries the anime had.

The main characters and their interaction felt kinda cliche at first but they grew on me anyways as they're likable in their own way. The mysteries are on the simpler side but they're fun to read nonetheless and the biggest mystery with Loki's past is the most interesting. To be honest, with them in uniforms and this being set in school, I was expecting them to have cases like trying to find a thief or something and the murders will be stuff set outside of their school but to my surprise, the suspects and victims of the cases shown are all students from their school. It makes it feel morbid but also fun to read as to how the murders would be done. I'm also glad they explained how the main characters got the answers to the mysteries presented to them as it's really entertaining.

In short, I liked this one and would wanna read the rest.

Loki is basically high school Sherlock. Personality, cunning, approach to social norms, intelligence.

This was a fun read, though! Interesting problem solving scenes, nice puzzles, some scenes were kinda scary tbh so I guess the author did a good job with that--setting the scene and ambiance

Clark High had students being murdered here and there but seems like life goes on???? Students aren't very much affected? Lorelei moves on with life despite seeing a dead body? No trauma whatsoever? But it's fine, I guess I shouldn't be looking for much real-life accuracy here of HS students....Actual police inspectors are asking for a 17 year old's counsel LOL (not saying the youth are incapable, only that police/authorities aren't likely to be welcoming of a teenager's insights into crimes and surpass the former's abilities).

(Wish Loki's less of an annoying git though and that Lorelei is given more personality aside from her daddy issues. But hey! It's only 11 chapters. Surely there'd be nice character development later on.)

Overall fun, would read the volume 2 when my reading schedule's a bit freer 😊

This book keeps being recommended to me by the Wattpad app and my friend that I finally decided to give it a try.
After reading it, I can finally say that it's the type of book that grows on you over time. If you're a fan of Sherlock Holmes and other mystery authors like Dan Brown, this story will be pretty predictable. Most of the cases in the book are very much similar to other mystery stories/movies/series. Overall, it was an okay book for me. The writing was pretty good and I commend the author for being able to pull this off. Clearly, writing this genre required a lot of reading and researching by the author and I think he did a great job in that aspect.

4.5 stars ✨

Unang-una sa lahat, if mahilig ka sa romance, this book is not for you. Hahaha

If fan ka ng Detective Conan, Detective School Q, or other mystery/detective shows, I'm sure maguhustuhan niyo 'to. Highly recommended! ✨

Bawat eksena may laman.

For the love of mystery, paniguradong magugustuhan niyo rin ito.
