Multiple husbands, a group of kids, the Australian Outback...complicated much? Oh yeah!
When Olivia sets foot in Spain, her life becomes an explosion of the unexpected. With husbands, mother-in-laws and children thrown into the mix, she finds her head spinning - when her body isn't writhing in pleasure, that is.
But there is trouble in paradise, and she soon finds herself on the move again, but will it be to permanently put down roots with her men? Can she hold it together when the going gets tough? And will Australia be the ultimate challenge?

Adventurous, romantic, real and super steamy! It was a really fun and easy read along with lots of emotions mixed in. A great contemporary reverse harem series ♥️♥️
Throughout this series, as much as I didn't want it to end, I've been intrigued as to how it would end. How the author would take this woman and her collection of gorgeous guys and hopefully give them a happy ending. And, although I can't tell you the how (well, you don't want spoilers, do you!?), I can definitely tell you that Lily Harlem wrapped up this series in style and in such a way that should give the readers satisfaction - but equally there is room for spin-offs, which I would actually like to see. Since there are so many people involved in this series, I'd be interested to see more back story, more elements explored. I can't say what because it'll give the game away, but I'm taking it as a good sign that after five books I'm still interested to learn more about the characters!
Overall, this is another intriguing read - possibly the most intriguing of all the books - and an excellent finish to the series. It's hot, well-written, and with plenty of heart as well as sexy times! If you haven't checked this series out yet, or are one of those readers that prefer to read finished series, then you can jump in without fear - this epic story has come to a deeply satisfying conclusion. Recommended.
Olivia and her guys are in Spain. They have returned to the real world. The world of social media, mothers-in-law, society's judgment, and surprises. When an unexpected responsibility surfaces Olivia and her men are on the move again. This time they are off to a remote sheep station in Australia. However, this time it could lead to putting down permanent roots, a bigger than expected family, and a HEA.
Breakaways is a satisfying ending to one of the most fun RH's I've come across. I also admit that the entry into real life was much more realistic than I could have envisioned. I love when untraditional wins! There's plenty of love, sexy times, and sweet moments. I was frustrated with Harry, amused by Raul, turned on by Mason, hurt for Evan, and fell in love with Lucas even more. I love these guys, faults and all. And the sexy times are wonderfully steamy! Lily amazed, amused, and inspired. I can't explain my only complaint without spoilers but I will say I was not happy with the guy's locations at a pivotal moment. This upset and pi**ed me off. Other than that I loved this book.
This RH was an adventure from beginning to end. 100% FUN! Totally recommend! Okay, Lily while this was perfect the little note at the end regarding begging for a guy's POV.... pleaaaaase!
Great ending to the challenge series! And what a ride from those first days/weeks/months in remote areas all learning to live and love together! The author wrapped a very cool contemporary Rh up in the best way.
It didn't feel like a full book with a plot. It was more like an entire book to force the characters to have what the author thinks as a perfect happy ending. After previous ones that had a set goal (in the form of the Challenges) with defined end points, this one just went.... everywher. There was poor reasoning as to why they moved to the new location for the book, and I feel like doing so every one of them gave up their jobs and professions. They all talk about how amazing it is to go out to sea, how it sings to their their souls, and they settle inland. Disappointing compared to the rest of the series. The author should have stopped aftr book 3
Love the dynamic between will the characters, especially Harry and Evan! I would enjoy seeing another story on thier feelings and Pov on thier relationship! I Loved the birth of the babies and how the men took care of her. Although Harry was a bit annoying with throwing money around and Insisting on a Hospital, he got what he deserved over the phone though. There were tons of funny moments, Plenty of Love to go around! Great read!
This last book was delightful. Even the smut. I liked it. I'd recommend it to my friends. However I guess they'd have to start at the very beginning to understand the end story. For the first time in a long time I'm actually going to read the guys book. You know the book that comes at the end of the series that shows the guys point of view. I wonder if it's going to be a point of view book or another narrated book. I'm going to give it a go and see if I like it and if I do I'll read the whole thing. Anyway if you like light smut then this is the book for you.
They've been lost at sea, ridden across the country on motorcyles, built a hospital in Africa and stolen passage across the sea. You would think they had seen it all, but the real world may be their biggest challenge yet. What happens when others get involved? Their questions, their opinions. What happens when the past catches up with you?
Ok so this is going to be a really hard review to write for the simple fact that I can't tell you ANYTHING!! But really, I don't want to spoil anything. I can tell you that this is possibly the last book in this series. So basically you get a book that could close everything out and leave you with a happy sense of everything is settled and the series is done. I'm just not going to tell you about the journey you have to go on to get there.
Another thing I can tell you is that I really wanted to slap the crap out of Harry in this book. That man and his phone. Grrr. I still love him though and it's all good. And OH.MY.GOODNESS. The freaking sexy times in this book. I mean, we all know Lily can bring the heat but DDDAAAMMMNNN. This book is so not safe for work. Hell it's not safe for anywhere other than in the privacy of your own home.
So yea, basically we are back in the real world and out of seclusion which brings real world problems. Not only that but one of the men gets some news that throws all their plans in the air. So now they have to deal with that, being back around people who will judge them and ask questions, and learning how to live together in the real world. Boundaries get pushed. It's a hell of a journey and seriously, like I said before, probably the biggest challenge they have yet to face.
One last thing before I go. Above I said this is possibly the last book in the series. Sneaky Lily left a little note at the end of the book that says, basically if we beg, she might write a book from the boys point of view. Umm Hell Yeah!! So y'all help me flood Lily with how much we love Olivia and the guys so we can get a little bit more out of her.
This last book was the perfect "end" to the wonderful "The Challange" series. Olivia, Evan, Harry, Raul, Mason and Lucas have such a beautiful, but unconventional relationship that is filled with love, and support and respect for one another. And now that they've added the three siblings from South Africa to their family, and Olivia is expecting there's tons of love to go around. They've all relocated to Australia to live on Evan's sheep ranch and are building a happy family. So sweet! Loved the series!
This amazing story is the last in this fantastic series, they are still in Africa, but things are not going well, 2 of the boys are having problems and another has an earth shattering piece of news that nearly tears the group apart
Travelling across three continents this books is as exciting and action packed as all the others, we also get deeper into all the relationships. I am sad to see the end of this series but wow what a great ending!
I kinda new it was gonna happen, but to see it play out was awesome. I was hoping for more of a fight with the social media addict. I was also something would have played out to where you knew who the father was. That mystery of knowing is cool and all, but what it is was husband #6?? I mean it’s possible. I just feel like this book could have had a few more details to make it take it to a whole different level. Good ending to a series though.
Pretty please with sugar AND a cherry on top! Please write a Book 6! I have had such a blast reading about Olivia, her five husbands, her children and their relocation to the outback of Australia. I think a book dedicated to the mens' POV would be awesome. The Challenge had everything you could ever want from a reverse harem story. I loved it!
I'm so very sad this series is finished (for now). I've loved every word of it, and Breakaways was the icing on the cake. The perfect ending to the perfect series. I don't want to give anything away so I won't say too much, but this is a heart warming, sweet, hot and extremely sexy read. If you like reverse harem then you'll love The Challenge series by Lily Harlem.
Pretty good for RH but be forewarned it is book 5 of 5 and it’s 1 continuous story. You wouldn’t want to read less than all 5 books as it’s not a complete story. The next book literally picks up the second the last book left off, which usually feels like it’s in the middle of a scene/ chapter. Five guys but she usually with one at a time. A few ménage scenes which are hot and some very tame M/M.
Great story development and a satisfying ending to a wonderfully creative RH series--revolving around a team of five men and a woman who face challenges, often for charity. Some twists, but mostly we see everyone settle into Evan's sheep ranch in Australia. Perfect, fun reading.
With this kind of book it was refreshing to a really good story behind everything else. That was a plus. Plus. It made you want to keep reading. I enjoyed the whole set
I loved them all and read them straight thru. I would love to hear how things have changed in the near future for this group. Loved how each book took you on a new adventure.
Is Raul home for good or is Spain just a stop for some tied up fun for the whole crew. Australia could give them & their newly made family a fresh start. I just hope the twins are ok
Oh my salty goodness! I love this book so much! This whole series is so wonderful. The Challenge has seen the crew of Temptress travelling the world. The original challenge was to sail to Australia, and in this fifth part, the journey has come full circle. I love how their adventures have taken the crew to California, a tropical island, New York, the Midwest, Las Vegas, South Africa, Barcelona, and the Australian countryside. Along the way, the group has fallen in love, averted disasters, fought for their lives and their unconventional relationship.
I love how this last part of the series has some of the hardest challenges. Helping orphaned children and dealing with "the real world" are just parts of the toughest struggles that Olivia, Evan, Harry, Raul, Mason, and Lucas deal with. It's nice to learn more about Raul's family in Spain. It's tough to learn about Evan's family in Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed how Olivia and Harry try to help Evan. It's also amazing how they re-vamped (or as Raul said, "re-vampired") the Tate family sheep station.
Then there's the emotionally charged part with explaining -or not explaining - the polyamorous relationship to other people. I like how some of the people are confused, while others are accepting of the crew's relationship. I adore how most of them don't care what others think.
Last, but certainly not least, my favorite thing about this book is that the intensity of the love scenes has gone from smoking hot to nuclear explosion. Whew! Some of the scenes are brain-melting, spine-tingling, toe-curling, kinky fun.
This series is a keeper! I'm now a proud owner of the boxed set.
