Abby Harper’s life has finally gotten on track—almost. Sure, she’s still single, and yeah, it’s a little depressing to be planning the menu for her grandmother’s wedding, but romance is hardly her first priority right now. Heading up the restaurant of the Harper family’s inn is the job of her dreams, not to mention her chance to finally show her two older sisters that she’s not a kid anymore.
But when a bad review of her signature brunch puts her face to face with the only man who ever touched—and broke—her heart, Abby is determined to redeem her reputation. It won’t be easy to win a good review of the inn while sidestepping the one man she’d like forget. But while she tries to win Zach Dillon’s favor, will he manage to win her heart…for good?

Maybe This Time by Olivia Miles continues the charming Oyster Bay series set in a quaint seaside town on the coast of Maine. This is the 3rd book in the series and follows the youngest sister, Abby, as she journeys deeper into her career as a home baker at her family’s Inn, and remedies her past reluctance to people and places by committing fully and not running, even when it hurts. As Abbys first and only true love, Zach, is back in town writing for the local paper, the Gazette, she is faced with turmoil over the past yet hope for the future with the man that has never escaped her thoughts. After college, he wanted to explore the world as a journalist and she wanted to come home to Oyster Bay, to her family and the town she loves. Zach never thought Oyster Bay held opportunity for him to make a difference, but being with Abby causes him the consider that maybe making a difference in the world can mean more when surrounded by people you love. Amidst misunderstandings and past hurts brought to the surface, can Zach and Abby find their way back to each other? Curling up with any book by Olivia Miles always makes me smile, and this one fulfilled exactly that! Happy Reading!
I happen to enjoy happy endings and this book has quite a few. Abby, the youngest of three sisters, appears to be irresponsible, unsettled, and shifting from one job to another quite frequently. She wants her family to respect her. She finally earns their approval and a job cooking for her older sister's Bed and Breakfast. She also establishes a good relationship with her first love.
Another book read in one day. I can’t seem to put the books down. Loving the character and all the excitement of the small town of Oyster Bay and the retirement home, Serenity Homes. Loving the series. This book is predominantly about Abby, but Mimi is such a hoot. I laugh and laugh at her antics. Priceless.
The third book in the Oyster Bay series is Abby's story. She's the youngest of three sisters and has flitted from one thing to the next in every aspect of her adult life. She has a lot of unresolved issues that come to the forefront in this book, and I found myself really rooting for her, especially for her baking/catering business that she has her heart set on.
Abby and Zach have a history immersed in regrets. What is different this time? They've matured. They've become grounded. Will they be able to shed their miserable pasts? Miles takes us on that journey toward the HEA we expect.
Olivia miles is a very good writer. She keeps you interested in all of her characters. This is the last book in this series but she has a lot more books that I have not read.
I love this Oysterbay series . What happened to Sarah Abby's friend from the newspaper and Melanie Zack's sister from this book Maybe This Time? Those are unfinished storylines from the Oysterbay series I can't wait to read .
Don’t know who was worse…Abby or Zach. He was a total jerk. She at least seemed ever so slightly (and I do mean slightly) more mature than in the last two books. I found Zach to be a huge pompous jerk.
Another fun read. This time the focus is on Abby and Zach and Mimi getting married. Baking success. I would love to stay at this B&B by the Sea. On to book 4
