I dream of one day taking over the family law firm, the largest on the East Coast. But in order for that plan to become a reality, I must do everything my father asks, including marrying a man I barely know. Enter Maxton Colter, a walking contradiction and not the man my father chose for me. He's infuriatingly arrogant... yet charming. He's inappropriate... yet intriguing. He's a playboy... yet focuses all his attention on me. He's doing everything he can to unravel my goal to one day take over the firm. Question is... will I fall prey to the undeniable chemistry between us and allow him to destroy my dream?

I'm an indie author who grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.

I typically write romantic suspense, as I love stories with some twists and turns. I also love my HEA, although the road to get there is quite the journey.

S Nelson's writing is quite brilliant and her latest book reflects this. Her latest book is very different from her last series, which was about MC men. In her latest book, Blind Devotion, you have lawyers instead of MC as the profession. Max replaces Ryder for me as alpha dream BBF for he was sexy, intriguing, cocky, at times sweet and hot lawyer. He is the man you want representing you if you needed a lawyer. He has come to town after his personal life imploded and he is starting over fresh. Alina is the daughter of the head of the firm and a lawyer in her own right. Only thing is her father is controlling her life…in many ways. She is such a good person yet she lacks confidence. Alina is a very kind and giving person yet she lacks certain things in her life. She is being pressured into things and there is this push with no real reason shown in the beginning yet as soon as she meets Max, there is this immediate spark, this chemistry between them. Max is the exact opposite of Alina yet he is kind to her and draws her out of this shell she has around herself. I loved that about him. I liked Max and Alina together. They had this chemistry and their story had this mystery, this intrigue on top of the romance. Max is irresistible while Alina is the good girl gone rouge for the bad boy. It works for this type of story. There are ups and downs on this emotional journey that these two go on together. Alina’s life goes thru a change, question is , will Max go on that change or is just there for the first stop on her journey?
This is one story that you do not want to miss. Young lawyers in love is a song that played in my head when I read this story. S. Nelson's writing style had me glued to this book from start to end once the book picked up from the slow start. There was enough angst , intrigue and romance that had me going until the very end.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

I'm not one usually lost for words, but this awesome author does it to me consistently!
Wow...
What can I say about Alina and Max...
The chemistry between these two had the sparks flying off the pages.
This story flowed with such ease that the pages almost turned themselves!
Once again this author has created an amazing collection of characters, that felt so REAL I bled with them!

Sandra...

Sandra has done it again. Blind Devotion is an amazing story, including the personal growth and strength of Alaina, the main female character. Also included are snippets referencing spousal abuse and how dangerous it can be. The story and characters were as intriguing and well developed as I have come to expect from this author! Definitely a must read!

The blurb as well as the cover for Blind Devotion by S. Nelson really caught my attention and since I'd never read anything by this author, I couldn't wait to find out more about Alina and this arranged marriage of hers.

The story sort of started out slow, in fact, one night lasted through several chapters, but I could feel that the plot was building. I immediately took a disliking to Alina's father. For someone so powerful and so high up in the law firm, he never gave his daughter enough credit. And for Alina to be a lawyer, I felt she truly lacked confidence. I wanted her to be strong-minded and tough, to stand up for herself, especially where Chris, her soon-to-be husband, was concerned.

I could sense a different side to Alina when she was around Max though, the mysterious gentleman she meets at the charity function hosted by her father. Max empowers her and it's obvious the two have chemistry. Max is a bit of a mystery but I like him from the very first time we meet him. He's sexy and intriguing, someone that could add to Alina's life. To me, Max totally made this story complete. He was eye-catching and very irresistible, someone that was hard to say no to.

I thoroughly enjoyed S. Nelson's writing style and she kept me glued to the pages once the story really started to take off. I also really liked the way the story played out and it ended up being so much more than I expected.

Alina Winthrop  was kinda involved with someone else already, and was then forced to be engaged by her father to the man she just dated for about a month. There's nothing wrong about Chris Harris, except, he wasn't the one she could really fall head over heels in love with. Until Maxton Colter came along, at the charity event, no less, where Alina and Chris' engagement was announced.

Max Colter was something else. He was an enigma, openly attentive yet mysterious at the same time. No wonder women easily fell for his sultry, seductive, sensual mouth, but Alina was flabbergasted by his sexy and playful advances.  Max was intrigued by her sweet yet feisty  demeanor and  could never forget her even after knowing her social status.

Chanced meetings, working under the same roof, stolen moments... Max was getting crazy about pursuing another man's woman.. But did Alina really belong to her fiance when her heart was beating for someone else?

I must admit, I wasn't prepared to like Alina at first when I learned about her engagement to another man while she sets her eyes to somebody else. I am never comfortable with cheating lovers per se... But this story proved to be different and quite an emotional one. I could tell the struggles these two lovelorn characters had been through and in the end, I had nothing but respect and love for Max. He really did become a changed man. And Alina, bless her heart for all the trauma she'd been through. I loved how her father finally had seen through his ways and made peace with himself.

This had been an exhilarating read, the characters were awesome and had great chemistry, the story was emotional and S. Nelson's writing is  impeccable,  as always. This has been my sixth book by Nelson and I can see myself reading more of hers in the near future!

S. Nelson is at it again, bringing us delicious men to drool over! This time in a suit and tie at a prestigious law firm!
Daughter to the head of this law firm, Alina, stands to take over her father's position one day but is that the kind of life she wants? She's a brilliant young woman with a huge heart, doing mainly pro bono work. When Alina's father decides she needs to marry and even has the husband to be picked out, it's time she either take her own life in her hands or give up to do as everyone else says.
Max, Mr. Delicious in a suit himself, is a new hire at Alina's firm. For the first time in a long time, Alina captures his attention for longer than a second. With his own history, Max would be interested in not only the boss's daughter but also a taken woman. How much is willing to risk on this interest?
This is a sizzling tale! Took me a little bit to get into the story but as usual, Nelson creates such a story that before you know it you can't put it down. Max is hotter than Hades and knows how to please. You may want to invest in a fan or a cold shower for some of the steamier moments. Join Alina on this incredible journey between family and the heart. 4/5

This was a first S. Nelson for me and I enjoyed it but if I'm honest it didn't pack the punch I was expecting - this is only my opinion though and I do like a book with a lot more drama and grit to it. The main story line was good and there some very hot characters. the pace of the story worked well and written is a way that kept me intrigued to know what was going to unfold. I'm sure I wont be the only one to say that I could feel the connection with Max's character but I did struggle with Alina a little and found myself wanting to know more about Alina's best friend.

From the minute Max spotted Alina he knew he wanted her, she was the girl that he couldn't have though. Alina was being pushed to marry a guy she hardly knew and didn't really have any connection with but her father is a very influential man who was used to getting what he wanted.

Alina knows the fight she is going to need to put up if she wants to go against her father, working in his law firm she could have a lot to loose. She is loosing the fight against Max though and doesn't know how much longer she can resist his advances. People are going to get hurt and its not just the expected that happens.

This was the first book that I've read by S. Nelson and it was pretty good, just not great.

It took me a while to get into and I kept getting distracted very easily. While I absolutely loved the characters, especially Max, who I imagined to look a bit like David Gandy, the story just didn't grip me in the way that I love.

I did enjoy how there were many different problems going on in this story. The characters were working to resolve more than just one thing, and that did make it a bit more interesting, insofar as soon as one thing settled, another problem popped up, one I wouldn't have expected.

Overall, I give this book 3.5 stars. I feel like this book has great potential to be so much better than it was, and I would definitely read it again if the author ever took another look at it.

This book! I loved it!!! I've read a lot of Sandra's books and this is different than her MC series. Max is similar as the men in the MC books as he's just as cocky and alpha and hot as the MC men. Max is the hot, cocky, braggart you meet at the bar and end up falling for him.

Alina is a do-gooder who is trying to fall in line with her dad's plan for her: marriage to a man of his choosing and she will inherit the law firm. Except Max. Oh Max. Alina meets Max and all bets are off. She's insanely attracted to Max but he isn't her fiance...

So much happens in this story but it's not overloaded and flows perfectly. You fall hard for Max and root for him and Alina to work their way through everything!

This is my first read of S. Nelson and i enjoyed the chemistry between Max and Alina. The story flowed well with just enough angst to keep me hooked.

Alina wants to take over the law firm from her father. But in doing so she has to sacrifice her own happiness. That is until she meets Max Colter!!!!

Max Colter is freshly divorced and new in town. He's happy to be single until he meets Alina. He sets his sights on her and will let nothing stand in the way of getting her.

I loved the push and pull between these to but the heart will always want what the heart wants!!!

I have fallen in love with S Nelson's writing with her brilliant MC series and I was excited and nervous about this new book but it was brilliant. She has knocked it out of the park with this one. She has brought us a flawless story that flowed beautifully, and the characters are engaging and raw.

I could not put this book down. Move over Ryder you have been replaced in my heart with Max!!

This is the first story I have read by S. Nelson and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book.I loved the idea of a forbidden romance between these two characters and the way that they had to work out how to be together. I instantly loved the connection the characters had together and was cheering them on to be together.

Alina was an incredible caring character that did what she could to help people out. I loved her selflessness throughout the story and the passion she had for her job.

Max was a sexy male character that had me swooning with the way that he wanted to be with Alina. I loved how he was there for her when times were tuff for her. I really felt for him when he described things that happened during his life before he met Alina.

S. Nelson has an incredible writing style and has a grea5ability to describe what is happening 8n the story so well that I could picture it happening in my head like a movie. This story had everything I love in a Book, angst, drama, emotion, steamy moments and romance. This is a definite one click for everyone.

Blind Devotion was such a consuming book that I made the mistake of starting it before bed and needless to say there wasn't much sleep for me that night. I could not put this book down until I devoured each and every page. This book sucked me in and held me in its clutches from the first page. S Nelson did such a great job with this book.

Alina didn't know what to do. Her only parent she has left is demanding something that she doesn't want to do but feels obligated to do as she is told. In walks Max and life is about to get even more complicated than she though possible. Now we have angst, sexual chemistry, heartache, confusion and so much more. Alina and Max are extremely drawn to each other but they both have things in life that are going to make things even more complicated.

This book was such a great read!!! You are absolutely going to love this book. S. Nelson has such an amazing talent that you are going to be addicted to her books.

Alina's father has controlled every aspect of her adult life, including the man who she is supposed to marry. All that changed when Max came into her life. Max gave Alina the courage to stand up to her father and had her back when she needed his support. I really enjoyed the mix of interesting characters and how their personalities were revealed as the story unfolded. I especially liked the complex relationship of Alina and her father. This story will draw you in with an intriguing balance of steamy passion and edge-of-your-seat tension. I thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic story.

Blind Devotion is a big departure from the MC series she is known for. Max and Alina have an instant spark between them and decide to see where it leads. I was worried I wouldn't like this book as much as her others but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book.

I'm giving this book 4.5 stars, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's an easy to read, good feel romance. Alina Winthrop, lawyer working for her father's law company, is manipulate by her overbearing father Randall. Alina's father has even gone so far as to pick out a husband for her and expect her to follow through on the bargain. Maxton, a new lawyer at the firm whom Alina meets for the first time at a company function finds Alina fascinating and has his own plans for making Alina his. This was a fun romance to read, though in the beginning, I could not understand a twentynine year old women allowing her father to manipulate her to the point of abuse. Alina is fiesty and finally finds her spirit with the help of Maxton.

I wanted to like this book, I did. She is a good writer but I felt like a lot of the emotions were told to us, not shown and what bothered me was we didn't really have a good sense on what Maxton wanted (what his goal was beyond just getting Her to like him) at the beginning other than work at the law firm...that made the book feel singular and flat and it's not till the last 25% that we learn a big reason why he is the way he is and why we should care about him... that asks a lot from the reader... to buy in to a main character for that long without knowing a lot about him or having a reason to care, hence my lower than usual rating.

I really lived this book! The writing and the characters! My only wish would be there was more to the story! I felt like it had the potential to be so much more. I think if there were some more detailing in certain parts of the book it would’ve been phenomenal! I still liked the story though!
