I am an air force brat and spent most of my growing up years living overseas in Italy and England, as well as Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Virginia while we were stateside. I now live in Florida once again with my big, wonderfully pushy family and my three-legged cat, Harry. I have been reading romance novels since I was twelve years old, and twenty years later I still adore them. Currently, I have an unexplainable obsession with hockey goaltenders, and an unabashed affection for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

What can I say? It's Cameron Dane.

She was one of the first authors I read back in 2012 when I discovered M/M romance. Her sex scenes are insanely plentiful, primal, and DIRRRRTY, and her MCs are alpha men up for fucking 24 hours a day.

I may have read this book already, but I hadn't marked it as read or given it a rating, so I reread to be sure.

Verdict: HOT if a little dated. The idea of GFY without bisexuality being mentioned once had me rolling my eyes, but Adam and Rhone were pretty damn sexy together.

I can forgive a multitude of sins (like slightly stilted dialogue) when it comes to Cameron Dane because I treat her books like the nostalgic smutty smut that they are.

Give me a big dick, a fluttering hole, a glass of wine, and call it good.

WTF?!!!!

This book is freaking weird...
It started ok...not good but ok...it had potential...then it just went crazy ass freakazoid on me.

An older guy (Rhone) meets a young boy (Adam) who had stolen his phone but instead of turning him to the security guys at the airport he instead gives him a chance and a job. They soon become room mates and over time friends...the boy grows up and gets a promotion..then another one (now he is a partner in the firm).
And here comes the first weird moment...something sad had happened in Rhone's life so he was depressed and Adam was there to support him...Rhone falls asleep but some time later turns around and starts to masturbate (while asleep)..Since Adam has feelings for Rhone this turns him on so he does the same thing...right there in the same bed where Rhone apparently is sleeping...
- Page 26: "Adam thrust his hips up and down" (...) "He writhed on the bed like a wanton"...and trough all that Rhone never wakes up? O_o
He never even notices anything...even when he does wake up and has a wet spot on himself he still is clueless and just goes ahead to hug Adam and to talk to him ...this is just weird. But ok...I could suspend my belief on this and move along.

As mentioned before Adam has feelings for Rhone so he can't stand to live with him anymore... especially since the older guy brings girlfriends home..so he moves out...1 year later the older guy admits to still missing the young one and their shared life, in his inner monolog, and starts having weird feelings when he sees the younger guy talk to a woman in the hallway (another one of their partners in the firm)...and this is when shits starts hitting the fan.

The first part (32 something pages) of the book cover 10 or so years...the last part covers like few hours only (2 hours have been mentioned I think). So here are those 2 hours...marvel at the sheer ridiculousness :D

- See now I know this book is about these two characters...and since this is a romance book then we do know they are meant for each other...but since the young guy had moved out...and a year had passed, I kinda felt he should have moved on a bit at least...I don't know...dated a bit? But no...instead he had gotten his female partner at the firm to...umm...how do I say this...fuck him with a dildo for a year.....WTF!!!
Now they are in his office and doing the thing...Adam refers to it as a session O_o apparently it's supposed to cure him out of his 10 years old crush on Rhone.
LOL this part made me laugh hysterically and at the same time think ouch!!!
- Page 32:"She jammed the thick, long toy back inside him to the base, as she had done to him for almost a year."

- Then of course enters the older guy...no really...he enters the office at the worst possible moment :D freaks out, he is mad and blames the woman...he thinks she is hurting the young guy so he trows her out and starts a conversation with the younger guy...who by the way is still
A) naked and
B) has a dildo in his @ss...
Again WTF?!!
Soooo this is what happens..
- Page 33: "Damn it, I can’t talk to you with that thing sticking out of your ass.” Rhone reached around Adam and, in a shot, yanked the dildo out of his tender anus."

lololololol

They then talk a bit more and suddenly Adam has an orgasm on the other guy's pants...lol
Adam is of course embarrassed so he tries to run out of the office (still naked)...but is stopped by the older guy who wants to know what made Adam have an orgasm.
- Page 35: "Tell me why you just dumped a shitload of jizz on my leg without any provocation at all"
...um first of all I don't think people come when they feel provoked :D and secondly right when he asked the question he stars jerking Adam off (or at least he is touching his private parts)...umm LOL

- Adam tells the older guy the truth about loving him and they then have sex twice...yeah...a strait guy just turned gay in less the 5 minutes, found out Adam loves him and that he has done so for the last 10 years, realizes he loves Adam back and is totally ready for sex (to be on the receiving end).

But lets take it slow...
Real slow..
After the first sex round (which by the way was rough and Adam the innocent virgin is the bottom) there is this weird blowjob where the older guy "forces" himself deeper, then "mashes" the younger guys head to his stomach without even asking if the younger guy can deepthroat..lol and again...please remember the younger one has no sex experience at all...none but is apparently a pro by the sound of it!!
Anyways...Adam pulls his head away from Rhone's grip and this happens:
- Page 42: "Aching, unfamiliar loneliness welled up in Rhone, a hollow feeling of loss that unexpectedly rocked him to his core.
“What…what are you doing?” Vulnerability assaulted Rhone at Adam’s withdrawal. He didn’t think he had ever felt so exposed. It was unfamiliar, and he didn’t like it one damn bit. He turned away, giving
Adam his back, not wanting the man to see this new raw need in his eyes. “Did I push too deep and make you uncomfortable? Why did you stop?”"

LOL well I would say yes to that...as probably many would...but no that was not the reason...Adam was not bothered by any of that since he seems to be born with the experience to be able to deepthroat that easily :D
After this (some more talking) and the old guy realizes he is in love....yep.

Now the first time they had sex the older guy is the top as I mentioned...and even though the younger guy never had sex before he still had those toys so I guess he was ready... and on some level I could accept that he was ok and even enjoyed it even if it went so fast and hard ..But then the older guy (Rhone) is on the receiving end when they have sex for the second time....now keep in mind he never had anything with a guy before...he was straight till this point and yet he just jumps in as if it was nothing...lol
Almost no preparation at all...
- Page 49: "Adam humped Rhone’s ass without control: erratic, choppy, and rough"

Damn in the real world that would have hurt like a son of a B****...yet apparently not in this book....well to be fair it did hurt him in the beginning since Adam just went nuts and started humping like crazy..

...but after like a minute he was fine and even enjoyed it so much that he came a third time.

During and Following this there is some poetry...no really....they talk as if they were in some kind of Shakespeare play :D

Anyways...they talk some more and the older guy reassures the younger one he wants him...Rhone is telling Adam this:
- Page 51: “I don’t bed-hop, and I don’t enter into sexual relationships lightly; you know that"
.......and this is wrong...based on earlier info we got then this guy does just fuck woman when ever he has time.
- Page 15: "Rhone had a date tonight, his fifth with this woman, and ever since the third, they always came back to the apartment to cap
off their evening."
- Page 25: "not stopping until he found a way to make Rhone moan with need for him, rather than the occasional date he brought home".
Beside that we have never been told nor have we seen a girlfriend that mattered at all...and since this book spans over 10 years that is telling.

Anyways Rhone continues telling Adam he only cares about him and his own brother...at that moment the brother pops up (who we by the way have seen for like few seconds before), turns out he and the woman arranged for Rhone to show up and see what Adam was doing with the woman...and apparently while Rhone and Adam were having wild monkey sex he (the brother) and the woman were right outside the office, lisening to the whole thing.....ummm...ok...creepy.

Short story even shorter...they decide to go home (they are supposedly now moving back together) and plan how to return the favor to the brother and the woman (apparently they too were in love but could not see it).

The end.....
Now I'm off to burn this bitch ass story!!

This had a promising beginning. I liked the short clipped style that jumped from year to year with each chapter.

But OMG, first of all, almost ten years of hopeless longing?!
And then that scene with the female colleague ramming a dildo inside Adam while he pretended Rhone was fucking him?! That scene totally killed the story.
The end was a scene of unexpected sex with the straight Rhone letting Adam top him and the guys professing their love to one another?! After 10 years of friendship where Rhone didn't see Adam's feelings?

I'm not really a fan of this novella...

The book starts in 1999 where Adam Reyes (17) gets caught pick pocking Rhone Quinn, and thus his life is changed forever. We then go through their lives together as co-workers, Rhone being Adam's boss, until they become partner - equal- in year 2005. Some years go by, more things happen though nothing romantic. Oh no that doesn't happen until the very end. The present day, is where Rhone's 35 and Adam's 27, . Overall, the book is short, fast forward with little depth. Not good, but not a horrible read either. It's something to read if you just need something simply to let the time go by. It could've been way better though, had it just had more depth and not letting year after year pass with barely any content. But what to expect from such a short novel.

Other Characters:
Canin, Rhone's big brother and partner in Quinn Security and Investigations.
Loretta, Adam's tía/aunt.
Kasey, Quinn Securities' other junior associate and eventually partner. Also an obvious love interest for Canin.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M).
Series: - Series, Book One.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - None.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Unsure.
Would I recommend this book/series? -Not really.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2.5 (it was an easy read) stars.

I believe that Cameron Dane definately knows how to write beautiful relationships. She gets to the core of her characters and brings them together with all the emotions that come with love from happiness to sadness, she conquers it all. I am so addicted to her work. With her writing it is often more than two hearts that come together it is also the meeting joining of two souls finding one another forever.
Ronin can't believe his eyes when his cell phone has been pick-pocketed from his jacket. One moment he is standing at the airport minding his own business, the next a young man has attempted to take off with his property.
When he confront the young man, he senses something different about him. Being a Private investagtor he immediate recognizes the youth is a runaway and decides to reach out and help him.
Adam never in a million years thought he would be offered a job and more or less friendship from the man he tried to steal from. When he realises that Ronin is serious, Adam gratefully takes a chance and allows Ronin to help him with his fragile life.
Adam moves in with Ronin and learns the PI business. Over the years he works his way up in the business and thrives on Ronin's friendship and guidance. He hides his homosexuality from everyone (it is the reason he was kicked out of his home to begin with) and his deep love and admiration for Ronin, who is a straight man.
I loved this story. The friendship and the love that develops between Ronin and Adam was beautiful, reconfirming that love has no boundaries and sees no gender.
If you are offended by M/M sexual activities, this book is not for you. Otherwise, enjoy every minute of it...I did.

Here's the thing, I try not read two books by the same author back to back because I hate picking apart any similarities I might find. (And I found some but due to the fact that I enjoyed both books regardless of them, I won't bitch.)

Mostly. :P

I'm rating THREE & A HALF stars but I'll round up. Why? The plotline is awesome - teenage virgin has crush on his boss for years and finally gets to act on it. And during these years they had a few intense moments. Great. It's cute and sweet and one hot tamale.

Here's food for thought though because I find myself wondering in what planet would I ever stick a dildo in my friend's ass for them. This happens in this story and it's not between the main characters. It's M/F...*tilts head*

I.

Know.

Call me selfish and also a Debbie Downer but um...if my bestest of best friends begged me to stick a dildo in their horny ass or else the world will end...guess we're both going to be some dead bitches.

Other than that scene that niggled me, it's a great little schmoopy sexy story.

Basically...

This story was TERRIBLE! BEYOND terrible, actually.

I have never wished that I could scrub my eyeballs and bleach my brain more than I did at about 55-60% in this story (and that's saying something, because there was plenty of terrible writing and freaky plot points before that as well).

It's truly not worth my time to write a complete review, so here it is in a nutshell:

What started out as an intriguing and unique set up devolved very quickly through frequent and frustrating time progressions. The scenes moved through time so quickly that nothing had a chance to settle or resonant with me as a reader (parts that had potential to be poignant and/or bring the heart stabbies practically made me yawn with indifference). The characters were two-dimensional tools with next to no REAL chemistry (the sexy times were not even remotely sexy and, in parts, downright creepy). The dialogue was so atrocious I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, cringe, or do myself harm for continuing to read it. And most of the "big" scenes were completely ludicrous (I don't care how close you are with your friends and coworkers, you would NEVER do that for them! And why would you need them to!?).

Honestly, I could go on and on, but it wouldn't serve any purpose. Just do yourself a favour: consider me reading Finding Home tonight as 'taking one for the team' so that you don't have to.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

I didn't quite buy this story. Adam and Rhone are best friends and have been for quite a few years. Throughout the course of this friendship, Adam is a closeted gay man and is in love with Rhone. Rhone is a hetero who seems to only like women and has no idea that Adam is in secretly in love with him. However, Adam and Rhone live together and touch each other like no straight men I know. Rhone touches his face to bring them eye to eye often. He also seems to embrace Adam quite often. But he doesn't have those feelings and doesn't see them in Adam.

Then one night a friend (female) is basially getting Adam off with a dildo (but we never find out why or how this started and it's referred to as a "session" and is alluded that it happens frequently) and Rhone walks in and freaks out. He thinks she's hurting Adam. They talk, Adam suddenly reaches orgasm and BANG! Rhone is gay (yeah, they have this deep, meaningful conversation while Adam is naked and hard and said orgasm happens on Rhone's jeans). Now all he can think about is having sex with Adam. During the oh so needed sex, Rhone suddenly realizes that he's gay after all and not only that--he's in love with Adam. The forever and ever kind of love.

Now I'm all for romances where after a week or two it's true love and we get our HEA. That's why I read romance. I'm not looking for reality. But this one didn't work for me.

I did, however, enjoy watching their friendship grow. There is of course more to the story and that part is great. But the romance didn't work for me.

THEY FOUND A HOME AND I FOUND A GREAT LITTLE M/M FIX!!!

My my my this was a sweet read I tell you. Short and precise that packed a punch.

Adam Reyes is 16 and gay, ridiculed by his family for his feelings he's sent to repent and confess to his priest hoping that would heal him of his perverse desire. Easier said than done seems these feelings are hard to get rid of and the images of hot males running through his mind can never go away. His father discovers his copy of playgirl and with rage Adam is beaten and sent on his merry way to make a life by himself. At 16 theres not a whole lot of prospects so he starts hustling by that i mean he becomes a pickpocket. He spends his time at airports where he robs fatigued and stressed out flyers. Easy targets but one man proves not so easy to dupe and this is where Adam finds his home and love.

Rhone Quinn cant believe this kid just tried to take his phone, come on. He knows he should turn this kid over to security but his gut is telling him save the boy and the thing Rhone knows is to always trust his gut instinct. So with leaving his card with the teen, what he never expected is that a friendship so deep would evolve and Adam would become the very thing he longed for.

Over a span of ten years you will see this friendship grow and a love so strong bloom. Through tragedy and girlfriends Adam`s loyalty never wavers and you start to feel his frustration of a love he feels will never be returned. So sweet and beautiful and oh gawd so sexy. Adam will light your fire, I just had the greatest little fix. YUMMY|!

Since I'm in a good mood, I'll give this story a 2.5 rating.

I liked the beginning. How the characters progressively got to know each other and the slow way in which romance was built (on behalf of Adam). The starting point was rather cute too, a kind-hearted guy taking a teenager under his wing. How each year was marked by something that cemented their relationship.

However, the last few pages of the book felt totally out of place. [spoiler ahead]I simply read just to be done with it. It seemed totally unrealistic to me. Rhone made a 180 turn from never having had homosexual thoughts to offering his virginity. Adam acted like a damsel in distress, trying to flee from Rhone once discovered. Not to mention his exceptional sexual skills in all homosexual matters, despite never having been with a man. I'm not sure if there was anything else that bugged me about the end, since I practically skimmed the last pages. This is enough, though.[end spoiler]

The book had a really nice start, romantic and cozy. But the ending felt awkward in the created setting.

I like this story when it first started, the jumping of time could have been a litter smoother, I was liking both Adam and Rhone. But then the whole bit with him walking in on Adam and Kasey just did not work for me, was too unbelievable and at that point was glad this was a short story.

Hmm, what can I say? It's written by Cameron Dane, which means Finding Home is sexy as all get out, in spite of or maybe because of the interesting (sexual) prose. I just love Cameron Dane's writing style, she can do no wrong for me.

Young, homeless guy, Adam Reyes, pickpockets from the wrong (right) guy, Rhone Quinn. Adam gets a job though with Rhone's company and Adam continues working for and becoming an integral part of Quinn Security. He also loves Rhone over a 10 year period with what must be a set of the biggest blue balls ever. He never stops wanting Rhone in a big way and he never takes another to bed. It is unrequited love to the max until one big sex scene sets them up for lust and love, yum. It's also a big, unrepentant GFY read, but it's Cameron Dane so I can deal with that.

Finding Home is sexy, short and not terribly serious but it's just so enjoyable. Once again I am hooked. On to the next in the Quinn Security series.

ETA July 19th, 2020: I've reread this one yet again. God, the 'fluttering chutes' and the 'poking pole' and the GFY, not my favourite thing, and I'm still addicted to Cameron Dane. Simply put, I find CD's books comfort reads.

Whew!! Now that was a hot little read. I loved the build up between the men.
Adam was a punk kid that happened to try and pickpocket the wrong or is it the right guy. Rhone takes him into his security business and gives him a chance to make something of himself. Through the years Adams love for Rhone grows but Rhone continues to date women and treat Adam as his best friend.
The relationship between these two men is really wonderful to follow. There is a whole spectrum of moments from fun to sweet to sad to super sexy.
I love how Dane carries this story over the length of time. For a short story it lasts a long time. :)

Adam Reyes is reduced to pick-pocketing to survive after his family disowns him and kicks him to the curb for being gay. As fate will have it, Adam one day targets security expert and business owner, Rhone Quinn. Instead of turning Adam in to the police, Rhone gets a feeling about Adam and decides to offer the young man a job and a chance to begin a new life. Over the years, not only does Adam prove he is trustworthy but he becomes a true asset to Quinn Security. Eventually, Rhone and his brother Canin make Adam a full-fledged partner. Equality is great and Adam is grateful for all the Quinn brothers have done for him but he hides a secret: he has fallen deeply in love with Rhone, who's straight. Rhone and Adam, however, ultimately find their way to each other and their HEA.

This book had a lot of potential and I enjoyed the characters but in the end it fell short for me. Why? A couple reasons. First, this wasn't just a GFY; it was a GFY, on the spot, one time, at the office, and done ... complete with the I love you's, talks of marriage, and happily ever after. Now, I'm a fairy tale lover at heart (what romance reader isn't) and I ADORE my HEAs, but come on. Second, the scene where Rhone discovered that Adam was gay and that Adam had feelings for him came out of left field. I mean ... whoa, I didn't see that scenario coming nor did I understand it. Plus, Cameron Dane never expounds on it other than to say that it was all part of the "plan." Hmmm. Weird.

Bottom line: a charming tale that had a lot of potential but fell short IMHO. However, I liked the characters enough to continue this series.

I really liked this book. I particularly liked how Adam and Rhone's relationship developed throughout the book. They actually had time to get to know each other and fall in love. It wasn't the typical Love at First Sight storyline that I also like, but to me because of the way they fall in love with one another made this book unique and a really terrific read.

I loved Rhone and Adam, they were such a sweet couple when they actually got together. I have been put off reading this book for a while, for the simple reason its so short. Shorter books can put me off if I think it should be longer. That is normally the case but I really did like this book, no matter how hard I try not to. The phrase "short but sweet" seems to fit this book for me.

I am becoming a fast fan of Cameron Dane, this is the second book by him I have read and from this it will not be my last. This book might not be to everyone's taste but I loved it. It broke my heart when Adam had to move out of the apartment. A few of the scenes really cemented them in my memory.

This couple seemed destined to get together. Even their first scene together told me that. I really had a good time reading this book and recommend it to mm fans. :)

The story flowed very strangely with lots of time jumps until the end. It kept me from feeling invested in the characters, their situation, or their supposed bond. The resolution was strange, and neither sexy nor romantic. The agreement between two characters (both of whom where in love with other people) was just too strange for me, and I kept waiting for the main character to wake up, and end the awkward encounter. The gfy aspects of the ending really didn't work, although I have to give the author some credit for the ending sex scenes, and the balance of power. It was nice to read a story that didn't feel like recycled het romance cliches. One very small bright sport in an otherwise unmemorable book.

I was really liking this in the beginning; loved the sexual tension and really liked both characters. Unfortunately, I didn't like how Rhone reacted to finding out that Adam was in love with him. Rhone is a man who had never even been attracted to another man before, not even to Adam. Then suddenly he's gay and in love and a natural bottom. So I didn't buy the whole "gay-for-you" aspect of the story; Rhone was just way to accommodating IMO.

Plus, the way Cameron Dane describes sex just grosses me out to the point it pulls me out is the story.

Overall, I liked the story but the sex was ick!

I'm going three stars on this, though there were things that pulled it up to four star range at times. I LOVED the first half of the book. I loved that we get to see like little snippets of their years together and the gradual progression of things.
I liked Adam, I mean sweetie that cooks, come on!

he had a rough existence with pathetic parents and I felt for him. He showed strength and loyalty and a good work ethic. I would have liked a little more interaction between him and Rhone. I enjoyed the inner dialogue we did get from both of them.

Rhone was a good character too...though there were a few times when I wanted to be like
"Dude! Can you really not see it?!"

There were a few

moments...wow...were there ever.

Overall I enjoyed the story, I have read some of Dane's work before and I will read more...I think what kind of knocked this down a notch for me was

It all starts in 1999 to present day. the years were short but so very sweet in the making, making of something so beautiful. Adam has been in love with Rhone ever since he rescued him from life on the streets. It blooms from respect to love and then finally to HEA.

I cant tell you how overjoyed I was to see these two come together. I dont think any other couple deserved the happiness that was between them.
WOW! just WOW!!

FANFUCKINGTASTIC READ!!!!!!!!!!

Well. I expected much more from this story.
My main problem was how Rhone realized he was in love with Adam and that he was gay when he had been a hetero until the moment Adam confessed his feelings for him.

This book started off with a hook that immediately drew me into the story and I could tell that it was going to be a very satisfying read. I wasn’t disappointed! I loved almost everything about it.

The story takes place over an extended period of time that allows us to get comfortable with the developing friendship between Rhone and Adam. I love a great underdog challenge and was so happy when Rhone went out on a limb to offer Adam a job because he just knew there was something different about him. Well, suffice it to say, it paid off in spades! Strangers become coworkers who become friends who turn into roommates and eventually become lovers. It didn’t feel rushed, in fact, there were times when I wished Adam would have taken a risk to let Rhone know his feelings or Rhone would have been more observant, but I guess that’s what made it even more rewarding when the “lover” relationship finally materialized!

Both main characters were awesome. I wanted my very own Adam to snuggle with and my very own Rhone to comfort and protect me. Yummy! I was maybe a little surprised that Rhone didn’t struggle with his attraction to Adam after being a self-professed heterosexual all his life, but I was fine not having that angst present in the story. Adam suffered enough with his homophobic family that he didn’t need a skittish partner when he finally confessed his feelings.

The only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the choice of language and descriptions during the hot m/m action between Rhone and Adam. The dialogue caused me to pause, and ultimately it just didn’t flow or feel right for the situation or what I had come to expect from their relationship. Aside from this one strange item, this book hit all of my other hot spots and ranks high on my list of favorites!!!

Main Characters: Rhone Quinn & Adam Reyes
Key Themes: Age-gap, Homophobia, GFY, H/C
Location: US

Another book with a great first chapter that does not deliver on it's promise..

Rhone owns a PI/security firm, and meets 18 y.o. Adam, when Adam tries to pick his pocket at the airport. Seeing potential in the young guy, Rhone offers Adam a job, and a home. There were several odd scenes in this book....

The story felt disjointed, as if sections of different stories that had been cut & pasted together.

This was my first ever M/M story that I've ever read. I follow several blogs that read a lot of M/M books so I thought that I'd give it a shot too. I really didn't now what to expect going into it but I was pleasantly surprised.

As much as I really wanted to LOVE this story I had a little bit of a hard time with it. It wasn't the story, plot or the characters, all of which I thought were pretty strong, that I had a hard time with...It was the way it was written. That is actually what prevented this novella from being given a higher rating. After one REALLY LONG prologue we get to a story that I was luke warm on due to the writing.

The sex scenes in this novella were in my opinion off the charts. Seriously, I thought they were knock your socks off. Even with "off the charts" sex scenes I thought that the build up to those scenes just didn't fit the scenes themselves.

Overall, quirks and all I liked this story and I will be checking out more by this author. Apparently, this is the first book in a series so I'm off to check out the other books in the series.

This is my second Cameron Dane and while Finding Home is not as good as Renecade, it's still better than many gay romances I've read. I wish Dane had more books out. I haven't bought her other two because they involve demons even though one of them is connected to Renecade.

Finding Home is told in short spurts for the first part so the story of Adam and Rhone covers ten years before it slows down and we come to the present. I'm not sure if I liked this even though it meant the two men are given a long history together. I felt that it took way too long for Rhone to feel sexual feelings for Adam for the romance to feel realistic. Dane puts in as much emotional intensity as she can in a novella, anyway, so despite the implausibility, I still liked this one.

Teen runaway attempts to pickpocket a guy in the security business – this does not go well. I attempt to read the following story of internalized homophobia, roommate pining, and creepy nonconsensually voyeuristic masturbation scenes – this really does not go well.

Abysmally terrible. I bailed at the 2/3 mark because, even though I could have finished it in about twenty more minutes, I really did not want my literary 2013 to go on as it had begun. By which I mean with such awful, awful, awful porn. This is all "tight tunnel" this and "hard meat" that, and I made a new year's resolution to try positive thinking and shit, so for real, I deserve better porn than this.
