Alright, alright, alright! I really loved reading Venom and Ridley's gritty story!

19 year old, heroine/socialite Ridley was a Daddy's girl and she needed her Daddy, Bull's (member of the Dixie Reapers MC) protection more than ever now!

She goes to the bathroom and overhears her stepdad talking of selling her to that scary looking man by the name of Montoya! He had already 'touched' her under the dinner table so she ran to the bathroom to get away from him. The sad part of this disturbing situation is her own mother told her to sit by Montoya and was all in this dubious sale of her to the Colombian human trafficker! Luckily, the maid, Marta had Ridley's car keys in her hands, standing by the opened door whispering for her to run to her Dad and don't look back! Ridley didn't look back and she ran alright... right in the muscular and tattooed arms of VP of Dixie Reapers MC--- dirty talking but handsome Venom! The same man she had been crushing on since she was 14 years old and boy was this thrilling, sexy quick story!

Rocky will be the next member to get a story in THE DIXIE REAPERS series this month but I'm really hoping the club's hacker, Wire gets a story too!

Venom is book 1 in the Dixie Reapers series and it was not a good read for me. Although I don't mind insta everything when done right in this case it was not. The whole story was OTT ridiculous, the writing was bland and I dislike when virgins become porn stars in minutes. The sex scenes were so unbelievable and because everything moved so quickly the connection wasn't even believable. Also IMO these books are overpriced. I picked this one up for .99 cents and still feel slighted because of the poor quality and the short length of the book I couldn't image paying the full price of 4.99. I will not continue this series.

Great read, I loved it. The only om drama was someone who wanted to sell her. He touched her between the legs, but that was as far as it went. There were videos up of her in her room and bathroom from the time she was 13. Great story. She was 5 when they first met and didn't see each other again till she was 19. Once he seen her, that was it, he was done for.

This was a short quick read that I liked. This book was fast paced Ridley is the daughter of Bull a member of the club. When Ridley shows up for protection from Venom will be the one who protects her and then claims her. This was my first time reading this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

This was the first time I've read anything by Harley Wylde and I loved it! It was such a sexy yummy read! The characters had a major age gap, like 20 years age gap! And he was like the energizer bunny in the sheets, yummmmmy.

“She’ll do,” Mr. Montoya said. “I’ll have fun breaking her in. Once she’s been properly trained, I’m sure she’ll fetch top dollar.”

Escape

Oh my! This starts on a sad turned scary note and gets really... upsetting that a parent would participate in the future that was planned for Ridley. Ridley is thrust into an awful situation but finds escape before the evil comes to fruition.

I love how growly Venom is when it comes to her. I'm conflicted about how I feel about Bull's response to their connection when he first becomes aware of it. He was... calmer than expected. Not to say that he was calm.

I listened to an author's copy of this story with Ada Sinclair as the storyteller.

This story is short, fast paced and action filled. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. This book is book one in the Dixie reapers MC series and I cannot wait for more. I really liked Ridley. She may be young but she knew what she wanted. She also didn’t whine. I liked that she stood by Venom and didn’t care what he did or his darkness. The chemistry and passion between Ridley and Venom was clear to see. I liked them as a couple. I only wished there were more scenes of them together. I wanted this book to be a little longer.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an angsty read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

A copy and paste of the authors other books!

Bull, book 4 was the first book I read by this author and this is just a copy and paste of it. Every phrase the character's use in both books are exactly the same. Heres just a few examples-

1. Him wanting her the second he saw her
2. Him wanting her to be his forever after just two seconds
3. Him wanting to get her pregnant the first time they have sex
4. Him claiming she has curves that goes on for days
5. Him claiming he was too damn old for her
6. Him thinking sge could do better than a dirty old biker
7. But that he was keeping her
8. Her thinking if this was all she could have from him she'd take it
9. If she only got this one day with him, fine
10. Asking him to keep his clothes on becauuse it's naughty etc.

Yawn! All the above are in both books! This authirs books are just a copy of her last.

There are other problems, the sex scenes were terrible! They were so unbelievable, no one can go that many times in one run and they were lacking in detail, just dirty words repeated way too much. There are inconsistencies and it's very repetitive with phrases like, 'my dad must believe I was safe here, I felt safe here, my dad must think I'm safe with Venom, My dad wouldn't let me stay with Venom if I wasn't safe, My dad wouldn't let me stay with Venom if he didn't think I was safe' etc, all on just one page.
This writing just isn't good. The story is cliché and weak. I got to chapter 5, which by the way is 50% of the book, and gave up. If you read one of this author's books you've read them all. Definitely not worth the £3.62 I paid.

This book was essentially porn with very little plot. I give it 1.5 stars and that's only because I feel like it could have been a great biker gang romance with some action. Also the H of the story seemed to have solely seen the h of the story as a possession he could own. And not even in a hot way. It was more so like a dog pees on a tree so that other dog knows to back off. Aside from the great sex they had, they seemed to be more so in lust than in love.

So the book starts when Ridley is five and is the daughter of Bull who is an Mc brother. Apparently at five years old Ridley always felt a connection to Venom who was 25 at this point. 😂😂😂 Yeah okay. When her mother moves her away from Bull, over the years they lost touch. Until Ridley is in danger and needs her dad. It was a bit hard to swallow that Ridley who adored her dad, would just stop seeing him. She had friends and a life. She could have easily contacted him without her mother and stepdad knowing.
When Ridley finds out that she is being sold to an evil man, she runs to her dad, who tells Venom to look after her. So Ridley is so terrified of what happened at her mums house, when the evil fiend groped her intimately, that Venom ‘soothes’ her by making her suck his cock, and giving her lots of orgasms. This book is repulsive!!

Venom who is so kind and caring, that he makes her have a tattoo that he designs, saying she is the property of Venom, in BIG BLOODY INK!!! She’s terrified of needles but it’s tough as she’s having one. When she suggests that he has one, he laughs at her, and says it doesn’t work like that. I HATED HIM!! He doesn’t look after her, she was a virgin and they have sex so much that she’s really sore, but it’s tough luck as he wants sex!! 😡😡😡 Sex scenes are terribly written and apparently she never needs the toilet after sex. EVER HEARD OF CYSTITIS???

There is no plot. At the beginning j thought it was going to really tense and dramatic, nope! It’s just them having endless terrible sex! All the way through the book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Alright, let’s talk about Venom by Harley Wylde! This was my first time reading anything by this author, and while it had its moments, it didn’t fully hit the mark for me. Let’s dive in.

First off, if you like fast-paced, action-filled MC romances with a lot of steam, this book definitely delivers. The chemistry between Venom and Ridley is undeniable 🔥. He’s the dangerous, brooding biker, and she’s the young, determined woman who knows exactly what she wants. Their dynamic is intense, and the age gap (20 years!) adds to the forbidden appeal.

That being said, I felt like the story had so much potential but fell a little flat in its execution. The father-daughter relationship between Ridley and her real dad was barely explored, which was a missed opportunity for some great emotional depth. The main conflict felt a bit rushed—there were only a few conversations about it, and then suddenly, it was resolved. I was hoping for more suspense and action on that front.

Also, while the book was undeniably steamy (and I mean steamy 🔥🔥), I wished for more actual relationship development between Ridley and Venom. Their chemistry was strong, but I didn’t fully feel the emotional connection between them.

Age is nothing but a number, but who could have predicted the intense need Venom had when he say Ridley again after 14 years. The instant chemistry they have is undeniable. When Ridley runs home to her daddy because of some messed up stuff her Mom and husband are doing, it is clear Venom is what she needs and wants.

I enjoyed this short story. I look forward to the next book.

DAMN ! that was some serious dirty talk and scorching sex 🔥💣💥 ! Venom you're one filthy sexy biker, you almost made my phone combust ! — it's a ⏭fast-paced romance💃 (a bit too fast-paced if you ask me) , I feel like we didn't really got to know Venom properly, we barely know anything about his past and most his thoughts are about banging Ridley or killing the threats to her. There is 💕instalove/lust💞 but it stays somewhat reasonable and enjoyable. ✌There wasn't much drama or angst which I usually want and expect from a book involving bikers, but somehow it didn't bother me one bit here.

🙈There is a big age gap between Ridley (barely 19) and Venom (30 something) but somehow it didn't shock me all that much because they kind of knew each other already, had a connection and in the biker world I doubt something like an age gap between partners is much of a taboo.🙊

🔫🚬🍺Venom was awesome. Sexy, gruff, protective with a wicked mouth and mind. Once Ridley was back in his life he knew he wanted to keep her no matter what, he never looked back on his decision or doubted his relationship with Ridley, and he did what needed to be done in order to keep her safe and protected.

🎂I liked Ridley , she was a nice character but apart from the sex scenes and a few "normal" scenes , she didn't really interact much with the other members of the club, she was mostly in Venom's house waiting for him like a good little girl.

🤔 👎 — I expected to see some interactions between her and her father after so long apart but the author completely struck out on that front. Although the two care for each other very much, they don't seem to interact much now that she's back and staying. It's almost like once Venom claimed her , no one was aloud to come to close to her and she wasn't aloud to leave his side. Ever... well at least that's how I felt it.

💀🔪Her mother and step father got what they deserved and I'm fucking glad they suffered and died painfully and slowly. As for Montoya I hope his death was as painful if not more ! 🍻🍾

🤔😐 One thing that bothered me a bit is the fact that she ends up pregnant. Not a big surprise since they didn't use contraception, but even tho the author waited until the end of the book for that, I'm just not real comfortable with a 19 year old getting pregnant. She's just too young in my mind. Her and Venom have barely begun their relationship as a couple and I would have prefered it if they had waited a bit more before jumping in the 🚼 baby train. But since it's fiction and the biker world is different from our society I don't dwell on it.

I'll keep reading the series. The author did a great job with the plot and characters. Now from what I understand this series will evolve around older bikers ending up with younger girls. 🚫 I can get behind that but they better not end up all pregnant by the end of their book because that's going to get old pretty fast. Most of the sex scenes in the other biker books I've read contained safe sex with contraception but in this series I somehow think the author won't brush the subject much... which I disapprove of but we'll see how it goes, I might be wrong.

Now I'm onto Torch's book ! I'm so excited to read his story with Isabella. 😈💞

Nineteen-year-old Ridley lives with her mother and stepfather in a mansion in South Florida. Her mother went out of her way to make it impossible for her real father, a biker with the Dixie Reapers to have any real access to his daughter. But when Ridley attends a dinner and overhears what her mother and stepfather have planned, she sneaks out and runs to the safety of her Daddy. Her Daddy and his MC will protect her and it seems as though the VP, Venom, has taken his job very seriously. One thing leads to another and it seems that Venom is about to claim an old lady, but can he protect her from the threat that is closing in on them? The storyline had such great potential but fell a bit flat for me. The characters were good but needed more development. The relationship between father and daughter was non-existent, which was a pity, as this could have created side drama. I never really felt the connection between Venom and Ridley. There were plenty of sizzling moments that I have nothing against, but I would have preferred a more solid story with regards to the threat and how the club was dealing with it. Instead, it seemed to be just a few bits of dialogue between Wire and Venom and that seemed to resolve the whole issue. It would have been far more exciting if the threat had come out to play and we had seen how the club handled it. The little bit that was highlight almost seemed rushed. So for me personally, I think the story was lacking a bit with its execution and I needed more emotion with regards to the characters. However, the author's writing style flowed and was easy to read.

Bought on Kindle and Audible. Good narators, not dual read but each read their own chapters. Lovely growly male narrator, comes across as a bit of an alpha-hole but is actually anything but with his partner (total sweetheart in fact) and a female one with a bit of fiesty in her that matched the character well in my mind.

Defo AGE GAP scenario, and set up worried me a bit, so the going away with mum before returning as fully grown adult helped me settle and enjoy it. Some fantastic sexual tension and false starts, but when it happens it really happens. Pregnancy ensues, though no baby until epilogue (bonus of continuing series is that these two Venom and Ridley continue to come up, and you see their relationship and family growing).

Big fan of Venom, and Torch and the whole MC - apart from shitty prospects too big for their boots at start (and in subsequent books - they need to get a better grip on them! Thought the Pres had standards dammit).

Clear link to next book a bit forced towards the end, which wasn't needed as it was good enough to encourage readers to go onto next one.
