Trieste Publishing has a massive catalogue of classic book titles. Our aim is to provide readers with the highest quality reproductions of fiction and non-fiction literature that has stood the test of time. The many thousands of books in our collection have been sourced from libraries and private collections around the world. The titles that Trieste Publishing has chosen to be part of the collection have been scanned to simulate the original. Our readers see the books the same way that their first readers did decades or a hundred or more years ago. Books from that period are often spoiled by imperfections that did not exist in the original. Imperfections could be in the form of blurred text, photographs, or missing pages. It is highly unlikely that this would occur with one of our books. Our extensive quality control ensures that the readers of Trieste Publishing's books will be delighted with their purchase. Our staff has thoroughly reviewed every page of all the books in the collection, repairing, or if necessary, rejecting titles that are not of the highest quality. This process ensures that the reader of one of Trieste Publishing's titles receives a volume that faithfully reproduces the original, and to the maximum degree possible, gives them the experience of owning the original work.We pride ourselves on not only creating a pathway to an extensive reservoir of books of the finest quality, but also providing value to every one of our readers. Generally, Trieste books are purchased singly - on demand, however they may also be purchased in bulk. Readers interested in bulk purchases are invited to contact us directly to enquire about our tailored bulk rates.
This book is a gem! I stumbled on it right when I most needed to hear about God’s light on dark clouds. Our afflictions are sent by His loving hand with purpose and this book reminded me of that. I felt like I nearly highlighted the whole of it and will keep it close for reference!
Although good, this book is very dense. The book is short, the chapters are short, but the content is dense. I found myself only being able to read one chapter at a time - and mind you - chapters are like 3-4 pages. The richness of the writing and content, made me think deeply. I’m sure I could go back and get new things from each chapter. As someone walking through dark clouds, or ministered to my soul. Thank you Manriquez’s for getting this for me.
This book is more like a personal treatise on depression, loss, and suffering. One of the more common questions that young Christians ask: why do bad things happen? Cuyler does an excellent and beautifully worded job of answering that.
Such an encouraging book. Often deniers of Christ argue against His existence because of the evil and darkness so prevalent in the world. But the author argues throughout this book that God allows His people to endure tough times to better see His glory. “So many lessons that can only be learned through tears.” May we take courage in the fact that God looks after us, keeps us in the fire to better see His reflection. He takes those from us too soon or gives us physical or financial burden, but this leads us to learn to trust Him fuller in these trials, and may we continually lay our burdens at His feet, knowing He is in control.
“This is the real office of faith. It is simply the linking of our utter weakness to the omnipotence of Christ. We furnish weakness and He furnishes strength, and that makes the partnership.”
It’s helpful to read these truths from 19th century. Pulling from various places and verses of Scripture, at times these truths were a rich balm to my soul.
