All Hail Megatron is an interesting storyline in the IDW Verse. It marks the start of a new era in the series no longer helmed by Simon Furman.

Part 1 made a good impression on me, described a soft reboot taking place 1 year after the events of the final in the 'iation' series. However to me it didn't really feel like a reboot, more of a time skip. All the same characters are here, all the same side storylines have carried on and we still reference events all the way back to the start of the IDW verse.

However part 2 I feel like drops the ball and ends on a bit of a sour note. The final act just kind of comes out of no where through plot convivence really. I do think it could have been longer, stretched out some more.

The 'extra' comics and short stories that are included her are much more entertaining included the start of a super interesting and super dark storyline which hopefully pays off.
