I fucking wish that my music 5 class had read this book. It's so good. It's so direct and informative. Obviously, it's easy for me to read since the information in it is not new to me. However, I find the book perfect for people quite experienced with the subject, too, as it consistently affords me endless opportunities to strengthen my knowledge on the subject. Seriously, by the time I finish the reading, the written work, and the self tests, I will have mastered music 5, 20, the basic skills of counterpoint and conducting, and intermediate skills of sight singing. Professor Polansky is wonderful for using this textbook over that much less helpful tan bastard. Read it, everyone!

I thought the book was very educational. It taught me a lot of new things. It is nice how it has exercises in it. Also i like how it has different things to actually work on using instruments.
