I want to preface this by saying that, typically, I don't read novellas. Those inbetween books that get written after the main books in a series are already written and done. But, as this was written by Quinn Loftis, I made an exception. She is by far my favorite author, and I will read everything she writes.
Sacred Silence, which I read just before this one, wasn't my favorite. Still good, but not my favorite. This one though? Oh, I loved this book. Couldn't put it down, finished it the same day I started reading it. (It was short, so it wasn't hard to read in a day, but still...)
It's about Cyn and Thallion, and it made me smile non-stop. And I know I already said it, but I just couldn't put it down. In the moments I actually did have to put it down, I found myself in that place where you are suddenly annoyed to have to do anything aside from read. (Such as eat, clean... breathe).
Quinn never ceases to deliver wonderful stories full of humor, love, hope, suspense, and everything else I love to have in a book. This novella, while short, spicy, and sweet; was no exception. Can't wait to move onto start reading the Gypsy Healer series. (According to her website, that's the next book I should start reading to stay in order.)
Five amazing stars. I'd give more if it were possible. :)
