First I have to say, this isn't necessarily a book you ”read”, per set, but instead refer to. Not a book you read from front to back, or in one sitting (you'll never retain it all). There are GREAT, really FANTASTIC color combinations and they're defined well (i.e. The author divided up the combination of each color, in each piece of jewelry, into percentages). Very helpful. The only gripe I have (and this is the same as 2-3 other color design jewelry books I own) is; mostly ALL the design are done with seed beads?!?! Do the publishers of these color design books NOT realize there are many, many jewelry designers out here that do NOT design with seed beads? Yes, yes, I know, one can still gain from it and learn new color combos, but seeing a Lampwork bead, some Gemstone beads, or pearls, etc, with beautiful color patterns would be nice. So, that's my only gripe! Still give it 5 stars. I was able to get it online at the very popular book site (with the funky arrow) ; for an amazing price, in new condition, gotta love those deals!!
