WOW WOW WOW!! Where has this author been all my life bloody amazing This was such a captivating read and "Walking Away" By Xavier Neal literally snuck up on me in stealth mode, blowing me away with its utter sheer magnetism.
I have never read anything quite like this story, and I feel like I'm doing this a disservice by labelling "Walking Away" a menage romance.
This is so much more, It's a beautiful love story that just takes you by the throat and won't let go.
This is by the far the best M/M/F romance I have ever read and I've read a few over the years.
So "Walking Away," tells the tale of Jason and Gwen or Blondie and Gwenny as Hudson has affectionally nicknamed them.
After answering an online advert, Hudson finds himself in the strangest of situations dating a married couple.

.Seriously? Am I actually considering being the third wheel to their marriage? I mean, easy escape when I’m ready to bail, but banging a married chick and dating a….dude? Am I really gonna give this shit a try?

Gwen and Jason are having issues in there once idyllic marriage.
An accident has left Gwen's husband Jason in a wheelchair, unable to perform his husbandly duties.
And then there's Jason, needing a companion as he is stuck indoors while his wife works.
Brain stagnating from all the toxic daytime television, isolated from the world around him and taking his frustrations out on a wrecked Gwen.
Totally managing to alienate his wife and not even caring because of what he perceives as his now manly limitations.
The pair themselves have not been intimate in over a year and their union is now approaching breaking point.
So Hudson agrees to date them both and after setting up some initial ground rules the trio are ready to start there very unique arrangement.
What was so unusual about this was that Jason and Hudson are both manly males and have no experience or desire normally for the same sex.
But as well as being blown away by Gwenny's curves and sheer sexiness.
Hudson finds himself actually intrigued and for the first time in his life interested in a male.
Which also seems to be projected back at him by Jason.
So first things first I adored Hudson, I loved his straight-talking take no prisoners attitude.

.“Let me make something fucking clear for you, Blondie. Gwenny asks you to do shit. I’m telling you. Gwenny is your hot as fuck wife, and I’m the asshole whose cock you’ll be sucking between highlight reels on ESPN. She treats your ass with kid gloves because she cares about your feelings, and I’m the one here to tell you to man the fuck up.”   The glare deepens yet he doesn’t say a word.   “Now, you can make this easy for me and tell me where the keys to the van are and your shoes, or you can make this fucking difficult and be a bigger fucking pain in the ass. But let me remind you, one more time, I am not Gwenny. I’ve got the strength to force your ass wherever it is I feel like taking you, so if you wanna fucking box this shit out, just know I’m not holding back a damn thing.”

And this is exactly what Jason needs as its a refreshing change to Gwen's softly softly approach, which isn't really working and is only leaving Jason and Gwen more frustrated in their marriage.
So this was all sorts of unusual and it shouldn't have worked but it just did.
I adored watching this trio fall in love and Jason becoming more accepting of his condition and disability thanks to Hudsons insights and friendship.
What was once two lovers, gradually evolves into a close trio.
The overall dynamic of Jason and Gwen's relationship changing for the better with the added addition of Hudson.

“You have a problem with me, with what happens between us, you fucking talk to me, Gwendolyn.” I watch her chest rise and fall a little faster. “You treat me like I’m your husband and not just the asshole in the wheelchair you tolerate.”   She takes a couple steps closer and leans her face down to mine. “Then you treat me like I’m your wife and not just the doormat who was doing everything she could to make all of this easier for you.”   My lips drift towards hers. “I don’t want easier, baby. I want what we had.”   Just above a whisper she proclaims, “What we had is gone. But what we’re building…” Gwen’s fingertip trails along my jaw, “will be so much better.”

I try to smile at the genuine concern he’s displaying. “I’d kill to make love to my wife but-”   “Ah-Ah.” He holds a finger to hush me. “We can make that happen.”   “Did you lose the memo about my dick not being available to serve for duty?”   Hudson cocks a smirk. “I got you a new dick.”   “What?!” Gwen and I squawk together.   After a small chortle, he explains, “On my way over this morning, I made a pit-stop. I swung by a sex shop and got you a strap on.”

So walking away was funny, oh was it amusing, usually due to Hudsons sheer outrageousness.
He was an absolute card and I have to say he was hands down my favourite character in this book.
He just brightened everyone's day with his constant monologue and no filter on his mouth.
An example of this.

“Why do we have to learn to cook?” Hudson whines as the three of us wander around the fresh produce selection of the grocery store.  “We have you.”   “I’m sorry, do I look like your mother?”   He instantly frowns. “Thank fuck no. I’m not into that whole fucking chicks who look like my mom thing. It’s fucking weird. And disgusting.”   Jason doesn’t bother hiding his laughter.

See, quite the naughty schoolboy vibe here.
So I love where this took us and I found the deeper exploration of this relationship and its many variables so endearing.
This wasn't just smut or for titillation.
And although the scenes were hot and heavy you could also feel the love and emotion as well.
and everything was also enveloped into a warm shade of humour.
You just could not help falling for these three lovers.
I find in most menage stories the emphasis is usually on the female and less on the males sharing her.
Here this wasn't the case all our threesome Gwen, Jason and Hudson fell deeply in love and lust and the author has portrayed this beautifully.
Managing to convey the sentiments behind the actions in an almost normal everyday way.
Showing The camaraderie and old boys club antics between Jason and Hudson as well as also conveying the love between all three so splendidly.
And while Gwen definitely gets her share of the attention there is definitely a Bromance in the making between Jason and Hudson.
It was absolutely poetic to observe.

They are an adorably obnoxious pair. Somedays I swear there’s a Super Bowl party in my living room with the spread of beer, pizza, and sports blaring, not to mention the belching and farting. Other days…well they’re overwhelmingly thoughtful like when Jason will rub my feet while Hudson gently strokes my head. It’s been such a long time since I’ve had to balance the desire to pop the person I love upside the head for being too childish and drop to my knees to praise them for being so sweet. What makes it more complicated now is that there are two of them and they find humor in tag teaming in regards to who deserves kisses and who deserves kicks.

Gwenny peels her body out of my grip and busies herself with cooking. Once I’m out of the way of the both of them, I take a moment to adore how easy everything flows when we’re together. From the beginning it’s always felt like I just stepped into shoes waiting for me. Like he’s my best friend and she’s our girl. Like the connection we have is older than time itself.

This then has then been topped off with the added cherry of Gwen and the room in her big heart for both men who she is now so invested and in love with.
I will leave you here with this final sentiment that "walking away" managed to convey to me with its beautiful emotions conveyed on every page of this book.
Here the message is clear really, love is just love, whatever the gender its the person inside that is the ultimate attraction.

Despite the fact I may never learn to walk again, I’ve learned to love again, and I think that makes me the luckiest bastard on the planet. Yeah, maybe it’s been two years since I could make love to my wife without assistance or drive or have a real job, but I’m still alive. I’m still capable of much more than some. Plus, I have the greatest two people in the entire world to love and support me. Being able to feel my legs or my dick again will always pale in comparison to that.

I’ve never felt anything this powerful. This intense. This…soul shaking. Every time we’re together, everything we do together feels like this is how we belong. Like it should always be this way. However, I can’t stop myself from wondering, if it feels this extraordinary when we’re together, how excruciating will it feel if we’re ever torn apart?

So There you have it, folks, sorry for all the quotes, I could have posted loads more.
There was just so much good material here to work with here.
If I could give this more than five stars I would, it's just that unique and brilliant.
I can't wait to check out more of this authors work, if this is an example of her writing, well I'm blown away really blown away.
So I got this free with my KU subscription and boy am I glad I did.

4.5 Married Couple + MMF + Husband in a Wheelchair stars

This book was a complete surprise! That’s why I love Kindle Unlimited it allows me to try new authors and Xavier Neal is on my new favorite author’s list. Like I said, Walking Away wasn’t what I expected. I was thinking of getting a smutty book, but I got so much more. I got character development, a well thought out plot and a full novel! I’m always nervous in getting a book in Kindle Unlimited now because you never know if you are getting like three novellas advertise as one book.

The summary doesn’t give away much which is great, but for someone like me, who doesn’t try new authors too often, I need a little more so here we go.

Gwen is Married to Jason. Jason was recently in an accident and is in a wheelchair. Jason has pulled away in all forms of marriage. He’s grumpy, moody and he doesn’t seem like he has any interest in Gwen.

What I really liked about this book is that we get all 3 POV’s. I wanted to hate Jason, but you couldn’t help but feel sorry for him and love him. Even though Gwen and Jason’s marriage is in the pits, they still love each other.

Gwen would do anything for Jason. She loves him and that means going on-line and finding someone to fulfill her needs and her husbands. Well, her husband is straight but she wants someone to be a friend to her husband.

Hudson is the single good looking guy not really interested in a relationship, but he is really attracted to Gwen so why not?

I liked how each character was different and I liked how Hudson and Jason seem like straight guys but as they get closer together, things start to blur the lines and the book gets really hot.

Walking away is about a love story between three different people, each face different problems and each love in different ways. I guess I’m a sucker for these MMF books because of all of the different characters and different forms of love. It kind of adds a little something to the story.

I really like these kinds of smut books. It has a nice cover (no abs or you know other stuff) and the summary is mysterious and it’s a full length novel with plenty of dialogue and interesting bits. I hope to find more these gems to come.

Woah...this book was everything I never knew I needed, and more. I am a HUGE MMF fan, but sometimes I struggle to find a story that’s not just full of sexy times! The second I started WALKING AWAY, I knew it was going to be something different, and I wasn’t wrong. The relationship between Gwen, Jason and Hudson is simply perfect. Hudson brought something to the relationship that had been missing for some time and I adored him for it. The guys loved each other just as much as they loved Gwenny and I their interactions were just so sweet at times.
Xavier Neal has written so much more than a ménage romance, I’m just blown away by the sheer beauty of it. Yes, it’s HOT, but the storyline is brave and complex, but there are so many lighthearted moments along the way, mainly courtesy of Hudson and his cheeky schoolboy charm.
I’ve never read a book by this author before, but I know for sure that I will be picking up more of her work in the future.

I Really Enjoyed This For The Most Part

This is the first mmf story I can remember reading that wasn’t just a short story on literotica, and I really enjoyed it.. for the most part. Sometimes I felt like we were being told about the deepening connection rather than being shown it, but then Jason—the disgruntled, newly disable husband—would be inadvertently inviting Hudson—the blunt, commitment-shy third—to stay the night. I enjoyed Gwen’s character, and appreciated her struggle to be there for her husband while also losing herself a little. She becomes a bit of a doormat because she doesn’t want to leave or to be too harsh with Jason. So she hires Hudson, hoping that he could maybe be a friend to Jason, and a sexual outlet for her upon Jason’s urging (he is unable to do what he views as his husbandly duties). And though she’s not truly sold on the idea—wanting to remain faithful—it might be the only thing that saves their marriage.
I felt like Jason’s softening and then pulling back from Hudson came off as a more natural progression than Hudson’s instant attraction. I don’t believe the experience was unrealistic but its portrayal. It was another instance of feeling like we were being told—that Hudson had never been attracted to men in that way— at least to establish things from the beginning before being shown it.
Finally,I enjoyed both the sex scenes and the relationship that rose from the failing marriage. It was nice watching each third open up and work through issues they probably never saw themselves overcoming. I just wish there was more throuple time. (Which isn’t to say we didn’t get to see them together a good bit, but I wanted more.)
I nearly forgot to add that I thought this book was really well-written. I had to stop myself at somepoint from pausing my reading to highlight nearly everything. I worried that I’d get so caught up in the imagery and life lessons that I’d end up missing the whole story.

I asked for a rec on a MMF with some emotional depth and
real feels. Unfortunately it didn't hit the mark.

I'll give it a 4 star for the idea of it and deduct
2 for the final experience.

It wasn't what I wanted at all.

I found it juvenile every time "Gwenny" gags
like a 8 year old when the guys say something she
doesn't like.

And Gwenny apparently has no problem
reaching multiple climaxes at all. One of the guys LOOKS
at her.. bam. One of the guys breathes on her.. bam.
One of the guys grunts.. bam. Amazing. I want the number
of the doctor that prescribes her hormone meds.
I enjoy fiction about as much as the next fiction reader
but I didn't sigh up for an undercover fantacy
read on this one.

There were times it showed potential to be something
more that smut. Unfortunately that didn't pan out either.

So if you want smut with no emotional depth or REAL
feels, this is the one.

If you want something REAL and not completely
unbelievable or juvenile, not so much.

It's kind of hot at times. That's about it. I skimmed read till the end
because I had to know about Jason's "non-working" parts.
That was really the only reason.

This was such a great read. I really loved the idea of Hudson coming into the marriage of Jason and Gwen and helping them to communicate with each other again. He brought some boldness and honesty to their relationship.

This story was very engaging and I really enjoyed reading. This story has now also opened up to through of reading more stories with 3 people in the relationship.

I would highly recommend this book as a great read.

4 Intriguingly, Hot, Inspiring, Stars!!!

Walking away from someone you love isn't an easy choice, when that love intensifies, and becomes three, can three really work? Or will one have to walk away?

Xavier Neal always has a way of showing us, that love comes in many different forms. In Walking Away, that it’s no different; she not only touches on a MMF relationship, she also brings in another dynamic, that gives this book the intense, and intriguing pull, that has you begging, and needing, to know more.

This story for me personally wasn’t an easy read at first. The three points of view, took me a little time to get use to. However, once I understood the characters a little more and began to truly understand their story, and see the beauty in it, I found the three points of view, much easier to read, and soon the words flowed beautifully, and captivatingly.

As the story progressed I began to imagine myself, in their situation. What would I do? How would I feel? Can it work? Are they creating a recipe for disaster? And the truth is I didn’t know; I felt for Jason and Gwen, my heart was breaking, for the pain, and turmoil, they were going through, it was clear how much they truly loved each other, and that the decision they had decided upon, wasn’t an easy one.

Hudson, I worried was walking into a situation, he hadn’t fully considered, then I discovered the magic he held. He was caring, thoughtful, straight to the point, and he didn’t take no for an answer. It was soon clear that without him they were likely to fall apart completely, and in turn he found something which he thought he would never find, something none of them had truly expected to discover.

This story is for all M/M/F readers, who also like to see a twist to a story and want a story that isn’t just about the hot intimacy.

If I could give this book more than five stars I would! This book is everything! It has everything that you want in it. This is not your normal ménage book. This story line goes deeper than just fun sexual experiences. This is about three people becoming a family, knowing each other’s needs. Finding solace in each other, and realizing they need each other to make their heart complete. The dynamic of Jason and Hudson is one that I will forever cherish. Those two really got to me in this book. Their relationship was a game changer for me, and watching Jason and Gwen’s relationship mend and build was phenomenal. You never know where life will take you, and this story is all about that. I honestly hope that whoever reads this book, they can take something from it. Love comes in all forms, and I think we need to embrace that a little more. We are all human, and we all get to choose the life we live, and I wish it could be without judgement.
I’m hoping that we will see these three again sometime down the line, and I can’t forget about Hudson’s aunties that I loved so much!

Interesting….

This was an interesting take on the m/m/f relationship. I did like the take but there were some things that gave me pause:

-It seems like no one acknowledges the husband has been emotionally abusing his wife for more than a year due to the accident. The emotional abuse includes the husband neglecting his wife, silent treatment, just plainly ignoring her and then finally forcing the wife to seek out an additional partner; something she didn’t really want to do. I didn’t really see where the author or any of the characters in the book acknowledge this. I thought the boyfriend would at some point would have shown a little sympathy but the only advice given to the wife is to “man up” and argue back; that’s not manning up…that’s toxic.

-I was expecting to see a lot more relationship issues and natural responses to the situation, i.e. jealousy and resolutions to take longer than a 10 minute conversation. Those conversations would have given a more authentic feel to the overall story.

-I am trying to understand how the boyfriend and wife actually fall in love because we never read any details about them spending time alone together, their dates alone or the conversations they have during those times. The only time the book spends anytime on their relationship is during the initial meeting and subsequent lunch at the beginning of the book and sex they had by themselves as an afterthought. However the book does describe in detail the dates between the husband and boyfriend.

Overall I enjoyed the read but I wish some situations were more thoroughly explained.

4.5 stars. I really loved this story of an imploding marriage, and the unlikely third person who comes along and saves it by becoming part of the relationship.

The three leads -- Gwen, Jason, and Hudson -- are all well-drawn and not characters I've read dozens of times before. Gwen and Hudson have unconventional jobs, and Jason is disabled. I very much liked seeing a character with a disability who is also a leading man with an active sex life.

I laughed and smiled many times while reading the book, and the sex scenes were scorching hot. My only quibble with the story involves the male leads; their sudden acceptance of their heretofore unknown bisexuality seemed a bit unrealistic. However, I was willing to suspend my disbelief because I really loved the story and couldn't turn the pages fast enough! There's also a very touching commitment scene near the end that made me tear up happily, so that was a nice bonus.

Sometimes life takes a turn that will rock that foundation, creating cracks that fill with doubt, depression, and more. What happens when the things you’re doing don’t work & you feel the other half of your soul slipping away? You destroy the box and search for the unconventional, no matter how outlandish.
Gwen, Jason & Hudson shouldn’t work, for so many reasons. All are strong, demanding personalities. No one stands out as perfect or better than the others. Yet, their flaws are what pulls you in, gives you hope. Each rash decision, every thought out action gives you a bit more than what you expected. Xavier creates a situation that could have easily gone a different path. Instead she writes a story of commitment, passion and hope. So much hope.

A love like no other

This began as a way to bring life and love back to a marriage because Gwen and Jason lost who they were after Jason's accident. Hudson was to be the catalyst to fix it and himself. Over time Jason, Gwen and Hudson discover love that is built for three. They all had turtles to climb and realities to face.
This was an extraordinarily well written menage. It wasn't all happiness and sex. It was about them becoming each other's piece to become complete in love that society states is not normal. Love, the most amazing gift to give and receive has no limits. They embrace each other completely. Yes they have hurdles to leap but they do it together. It was surprisingly amazing and complete.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

The writing is choppy which makes the reading hard. I have read many books by this author and this one is my least favorite. She desperately needs an editor with this book. I felt nothing for Gwenny or Hudson...the author tried to hard to make the, likable.

OMG....What can I say about this story?

I don't normally read MFM erotica but since Xavier wrote it I would give it a try. This story had me flabbergasted. Xavier wrote a highly creative and imaginative story about a married couple on the brink of splitting due to an untimely crippling accident. Jason Kincaide was not handling the results of his accident and being tied to a wheelchair very well. He was pushing his wife Gwen away because he could no longer function as her husband and was not able to do so for months. His accident not only affected his married life but hampered his recovery. It was his love of his wife when he agreed to have a third party fulfill all of Gwen's sexual needs. They were able to think out of the box when they invited Hudson Wheeler into their life. What they did not expect was that they all became an affectionate, loving and supportive manage a trois. Hudson not only helped Gwen in her needs but also helped Jason to start healing and recovering from his injuries in more ways than one.

This story was about a husband and wife doing what ever is necessary to keep their marriage together, regardless of the mores and cultural opinions of others and allowing a third person to show them the way and giving that person all of the love that they deserve and earned by loving and accepting them as well.

This story in not for the faint of heart. It's definitely for open minded grown folks.

i liked the relationship that blossomed between the characters and that it wasn't purely sexual , but there were some weird moments that just weirded me out :
-the ' oh so you just believe women 'in the first few pages: “And are you so trusting and naïve that you would just take a woman’s claims at immediate face value? She says her husband hits her yet you never see a mark on her body, do you continue to believe what could very well be bullshit ”
-beastiality?: “Never said it was sexy,” Hudson counters, pushing his empty plate away. “I said it happened. Besides, every man has watched a chick and animal combination at some point.”... “It’s internet porn, baby,” he poorly defends himself. “That shit just pops up. And then it’s just there. So you watch it. It’s not like I went actively looking for a chick to fuck a horse.”
also the husband was emotional abusing his wife but i guess it's ok because she was "infantilising" him ??
i did read this book in the AMs so maybe that's why i hyper focused on these passages but they did make me pause . the book was overall enjoyable

Walking Away is a stunning read. A powerful, raw and far from traditional romance that is complex and deeply moving. This has to be one of the most emotionally fueled ménage romances I have ever read. It is a heart aching story of love, of how far you'd go to keep it and how it doesn't always look like what you'd expect it to. Book is well written and the plot is engaging. The characters are complex and vivid. Jason, Gwen and Hudson will each reach out and make a connection with your heart as you unravel their story. These three are soulmates, they strengthen and make each other better people. The book is a ménage story and it does contain M/M content. If you are of open heart and mind I am absolutely sure you will enjoy this book. It will make you smile and maybe laugh and definitely shed a tear or two, but most important it will show you love. Real, honest, beautiful love and that is the one thing we all want and need. I'm posting this honest, voluntary review after reading an advance copy of this book.

Props to Xavier Neal on venturing out into a new realm. This is her first MMF and it totally turned up the heat and during many moments, I had to put my kindle down to gather myself because it was that sexy! First we have our married couple. Jason, our home-grown gentleman who was severely hurt and left paralyzed after an accident and now feels worthless. Gwen who is a sassy, spunky girl who just wants to make her marriage work after it is slowly falling apart. Enter Hudson. He’s proposed with an arrangement by Gwen and Jason to help save their marriage and possibly more. Hudson is much more than meets the eye and is quite possibly my new favorite character of Xavier’s books. This story shows how three people fall hopelessly in love. The reader will get to see the dynamics between everyone, not just focused on one person. Of course, falling in love isn’t easy and our new favorite trio will have to figure out if they can work together or if they should all walk away.

This book is a stand-alone and should be for mature readers.

Jason is injured in an accident and loses the use of his legs. Gwen, his wife true to be understanding and without realizing it it, treats him like a wounded child. Jason is mad at the world! He resents his injury, hates being in the chair for the last 18 months, hates that his wife treats him like a child, and worst of all is, he can't even get a hard on! The doctors say there is nothing wrong with his penis, the lack of a hard on is all mental. Jason wants to bring in a 3rd person to take care of sex for Gwen, she agrees hoping he'll change his mind. Hudson meets Gwen and Jason and has an attraction to them both, even though he had never had any attraction to a man before. This is were the story come alive.
This story shows us change isn't always a bad thing. Who cares what others think about how you live, do what's best for you and the ones you love.
This book shows to never give up hope and its its okay to rely on others for support when you need to.
This is well written, well edited, and has free flowing story.

This is Xavier Neal’s first MMF romance, and all I can say about that is – you could have fooled me. My heart was so full after reading this book. I absolutely loved the characters, Hudson, Gwen, and Jason, and their story. About Gwen – it’s evident she cares about someone other than herself from the very beginning. About Hudson – he’s much more than he appears to be. About Jason – he’s a very tortured soul. How desperate must a woman be to suggest an unconventional arrangement with a stranger in order to try to salvage her marriage? She’s very desperate indeed and very much still in love with her husband. What she didn’t expect was that her husband would agree to it and that it would become so much more than any of them bargained for. This is truly a LOVE STORY but definitely for mature readers only. I certainly hope this leads Xavier Neal to write more MMF because she undeniably did this one very, very well. Bravo, to Ms. Neil!

This is a standalone book, though it does have little “easter eggs” hidden throughout.
Ms. Neal foray into MMF was nothing short of exceptional. She really hit this one out of the park! The story was both plot driven and character driven. As usual, Ms. Neal’s eye for detail and character development are always in the forefront of every one of her stories. She has this remarkable way that makes the reader connect with a character, even if the character is not so relatable. She writes flawed, damaged and broken characters with ease and finesse. This story was such an easy reader because it flowed effortlessly. The story was not one dimensional, and filled with gratuitous sex. The sex scenes were hot and moved the plot along. I loved this unconventional love story and want to praise Ms. Neal for writing a tough trope so beautifully. As always, I adore anything and everything Ms. Neal writes. This is just another example of a “don’t miss out” book!

Unusual start to a menage

This was a phenomenal story about an unusual start to a menage. I seriously enjoyed the controversial subject matter. The straight talk, foul language and guy humor was a refreshing change that I really loved. These three people, each with there own demons that they are fighting, come together in a spectacular way. I also enjoyed the men's take on being with, attracted to and feelings for another man when they have never been attracted to a man before in their lives. I also loved that Gwen was such a strong character who could put any man in his place. She responded to Jason like any wife in that same situation would, however Jason needed tough love that Hudson brought in spades. I highly recommend this book and can say this is the best story I have read in quite a while. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Well worth reading.

I absolutely LOVED this book. So well written and I have to say, this is what I was looking for in the genre of interracial M/M/F love stories. And yes, this is truly a love story between three people. I loved how their relationships slowly unfolded and I'm sorry, but Holden is written to perfection, literally. I wonder if a man like that actually exists lol Well, whatever, Xavier Neal brings this fantasy of a man to life so so well in Walking Away. You will have your heart strings pulled at how he brings life back to Gwen and Jason and it's not all about sex although the scenes are incredibly hot and well-written. I mean, wow! Sexuality is so fluid and I wish more people accepted that, like the folks in this book. I mean, they all seemed to be so accepting of this menage. Well, if you have ever fantasized what the ultimate interracial M/M/F relationship would be like, please read this book. I hope I can find more like it!

Xavier hit a hot home run with this story! What this is NOT.. a typical menage, there's Not two guys who always share... there's not a blushing virgin! What there is an injured broken man, who has lost faith, in life, in his marriage, in healing. A woman who loves him. but doesn't know how to deal, so she buries herself in work, and avoiding issues at home! Enter Hudson a successful PI who interest is piqued by an ad. He isn't without issue either, stemming form his childhood, he doesn't get close or do relationships! The Dynamic of the trio is amazing, they all push each other to be better, and do better individually and as a group. There is a lot of personal discovery during the dynamic, so if you aren't comfortable with MM relationships, I'd say read it anyways it's so worth it! I must say The Aunties added to the story in a fun way!

Walking Away, Not an Option

Jason, Gwen and Hudson rhymes their lives together. Not a typical MMF menage where a woman is shared by 2 men: but rather each member is a third of triage, that equally explores a relationship emotionally and physically. Xavier Neal spins a story that created a perfect storm, when all the elements conspired together to make this menage possible. She wrote a story from dying marriage between a bounty hunting wife and crippled husband, that met a gorgeously witty process server through a no-bullshit dating site. Xavier managed to transform the original intents of each character into opening themselves to realms of possibilities. In the end it all made sense, as love trumps all and conquers all shapes and sizes. Kudos to Xavier for this brilliant work making us a believer.

More than I expected

Do you think about a book that involves a 3 some you don't see you with a happy ending someone's always gonna be left out. Walking away is the exact opposite of that it is the definition of a working poly amorous relationship. You meet Gwen and Jason while their marriage and their lives are falling apart and then you're introduced to Hudson who is full of compassion and love and understanding. What starts as a way to make someone jealous and as a happily ever after.
While Walking Away was a little slow in the beginning it definitely picked up in the middle. I really would like have liked to know more about Gwen's job if there is a way that in the future going in Hudson will combine their skills. it was a great read. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters.
