There is a ton of valuable information contained both in this book and out of this book through the numerous links contained within. As a published author, there was information I was already aware of, granted- yet for an individual using this for a first attempt, this really is gold. As I have never used Createspace or KDP myself (yet); and as someone that is planning on giving it a go with-yes, you guessed it, a children's book, this is a very comprehensive look at the process which I would guess would be explained on those sites also. To hear it broken down piece by piece though from an author whom has used these services is invaluable to say the least. I am certain through my process of publishing my first children's book I shall refer back to this time and time again. Well worth a look.
What a marvelous resource for aspiring children's book authors. It is filled with helpful tips, pitfalls to avoid, and links to handy resources to help authors publish their first kids' book. I have been considering starting a pen name for children's books for a while, but I had too many questions about the process and concerns about the differences from my usual manuscripts. This book answered my questions, eased my concerns, and inspired me to get started!
Yvonne Jones writes this guide from experience. She shares honestly with specific examples how to self-publish a children's book. It is suitable for first time authors, as well as already published authors. The author shares generously, including sample templates you can download to help with your book creation and production. A definite resource book for aspiring authors.
As a newly self-published children's author, this book is extremely helpful. It takes the author step by step on how to create your book. I do recommend adding some updates. It is a little outdated. Especially on how to use Canva to build your book. The pdf program recommended for compiling the files into one pdf only works if your files aren't large. As a picture book author, it doesn't work because the images are large files. I do not recommend compressing them, because your images lose their quality. Also, yes, you can use Canva to create your title, but I recommend using Photoshop or Illustrator to get a more professional look to it. All in all, this book is the ultimate how to create a children's book. I hope the author will come out with an updated version of it. She did a fantastic job with the original.

Great resource for anyone thinking of writing a children's book!
I've been toying with writing a children's chapter book, and this resource provides step by step information to complete the process. The writing was easy to the read and to the point, and the author clearly has a demonstrated expertise in this area. As a published non-fiction author, I found the marketing and book launch chapters especially valuable as much can apply to other markets. Highly recommend to children's book writers!
Thank you for this helpful resource!! Great insight into the whole process. I read the book straight through first, even though it’s set up as if I was following along as my book was in progress with each chapters goals. I loved all of the encouragement I felt with Eevis cheering on with the readers and writers progress.
I really liked the depth and the writing style of Yvonne. She gets really clear about children’s book self-publishing. I also like how she places the resources and action steps at the end of each chapter. Then she places more resources at the end of the book which is wonderful. Thanks so much!
This books does a great job of providing explanation as well as direction on what steps you need to take. The author has done a wonderful job of providing lists, tools and templates on her website to accompany the book and make sure you definitely get your money’s worth on this book.
Geared more toward someone THINKING of writing a children's book than someone who already has (I have a manuscript, and was looking more for information regarding the publishing aspect). It was a quick, accessible read, and I've also encouraged my potential illustrator to purchase a copy so we can better understand the process together as we go along.
This book was full of practical steps and resources. The checklists make it feel more like a plan than a bucket list item I'll never get to and that's exactly what I needed. I'm very grateful for how much less overwhelmed I am about the process. I'll probably come back to the rating as I walk through each step in the next few months. For now I've got a great roadmap.
Very well organized and laid out methods for the process of writing a children’s book or any book. Of all the books I’ve read and people I’ve followed she has been the easiest to understand and the most helpful, laying out step by step what to do and providing additional resources. Great tool.

Amazing read, went above and beyond what other self published books have done for me in the past. Went into the detail I wanted, well structured and very helpful to not only my children’s book project but another self publishing project of mine too. Highly recommend picking up.
This book is well organized and includes a wealth of resources. While I found it a little heavy on use of embedded URLs, overall a very comprehensive and thoughtfully organized guide.
I started writing a children's book 16 years ago. I was absolutely stuck as to where to go from writing the book to publishing it. Eevi laid out all of the steps, I am ready to publish and I couldn't have done it without her.
The book is very superior to me to finish the manuscript of my first children's book "As Aventuras de Catarina" and also presents a series of tips to promote and find sales channels.
An outstanding resource for aspiring and seasoned children's book authors. Everything is in one place and easy to refer to while working on the computer.
