Billionaire Indonesia banker turned land developer and conglomerate builder tells his life and business story. He had a dream at young age of being in the banking industry and owning a bank. His wish came true. When customers would put up land as collateral and were not able to pay back the loans, he would take this land and sometimes develop it. Along with developing this land, he would add hospitals, shopping centers, schools, cinemas, etc.
Education and his faith in Jesus Christ are his philanthropic endeavors. Also, contributing to a prosperous Indonesia.

a book filled with inspiration and hope
I truly believe, for those who want to learn the drive, ambition and values to be great in this uncertain world. Read this book as a testament on how a man could achieve so much and still be a good person.
What Mochtar Riady did for his family, Indonesia and the rest of the world, he gives more than what he takes. And that is not an easy thing to do.
His principles gained through hardship and failures, coupled with his faith in God, are things that all modern man needs to strive for. And I think that's is the best lesson I gained from this book. I hope you can find that wisdom to from reading this book.

Great read on the fascinating life and experiences of Mochtar Riady, the founder of Lippo Group. Provided solid insights about his strategic and analytical approach to business and solving problems, as well as his accounted for his numerous contributions to his country through doing good business.

The book tells the detailed stories of how Panin Bank, UOB, BCA and Lippo Bank, even Multipolar, become the entities we know today. These organizations have been so established these days, that maybe very few people wonder or realized, that they are the results of strategies, and ideas, and connections done by people with motivated (I'm softening ambitious here :D) minds.
