It feels like ages since I last visited with Hailey and the Chronicles world! I was ecstatic to receive a copy of Tempt from Alyssa Rose Ivy! Her Chronicles series is seriously my most favorite New Adult series ever! It's just filled with paranormal-y goodness that it's impossible to not love it! The characters are always relatable and just totally enjoyable to be around! Hailey had been a favorite of mine ever since the first day she and Allie met! And her story is about to take quite a serious turn!
Veronica, the evil witch, has kidnapped Wyatt and forced him to transform into a dragon! Not his usual Drago form, but an actual DRAGON!! She plans to use him as bait to lure Hailey to her and her partner in crime, a woman from Wyatt's past. But their plans are far more sinister than even Wyatt and Hailey could imagine! And just when we think we might have an idea of what's going on, the ending will totally blow you away and leave you craving for more!
For a good portion of the book, Hailey and Wyatt are separated. While Wyatt is held captive, Hailey and her friends are trapped in a creepy maze with no visible way out. They don't have Anastasia with them and are trying to find her along with the way out. Add in the fact that Hailey now has a new set of powers bestowed upon her from Wyatt's deceased mother and you could say things are intense, but you'd be vastly underestimating the situation!
Thankfully, Hailey and Wyatt are reunited, but their troubles are far from over. In fact,--I bet you can guess it--they are just beginning! While there's still the huge problem of Veronica and her evil cohorts to deal with, new problems arise, ones that are vague and mysterious and aren't those just the best kind? Of course, not so much since we only start to get an inkling of the weirdness that is going on and then BAM! The end! Don't you hate when that happens? Lol! But you know it will mean Hailey's next book will be a totally epic conclusion! And naturally, I'm already pondering possible new couples for future books!
Naturally there was just enough tingling romantic scenes between Hailey and Wyatt! Since Hailey has finally realized her feelings for Wyatt, you can bet I was dying for their reunion! I think what I love most about Alyssa Rose Ivy's romances are that they go beyond the physical! Of course I love reading about the kissing and more, but it's truly the moments that reflect the deeper connection between heroine and hero that get me all tingly and gushy feeling! And I have to say, I love it! Lol!
The ending to this one was quite mysterious. That's pretty much a literal description. It's sort of cliffhanger-y, but since there's such a deeply seeded mystery lying in wait, it was hard to say why it was cliffhanger-y. The mystery is both helping and not helping in that matter! It's an odd moniker that's for sure! Needless to say I will be eagerly anticipating the conclusion to The Pteron Chronicles!

This book was a bit of a disappointed for me. First, book 2 so long to finally publish it took me half of the book just to remember the characters and storyline of the series. That's definitely saying something for someone who has read all of the books connected to the Chronicles world series to forget characters.
Next, I've read novellas that were longer than this book. Hailey has been my favorite character since the very first book in the Chronicles world series. This book doesn't do Hailey's story justice. She deserves more than less than 200 pages of filler. Book 2 was literally nothing but filler between book 1 and book 3. There was nothing really exciting or climatic about it.
I'm so disappointed with this author. She used to be one of my favorite authors but her last couple of books have been sub par and novella short. This is not the way you do one of the original characters. I hope by the time book 3 comes out I haven't forgotten the characters and storyline again. My recommendation to anyone who wants to read this series is til book 3 is about to be released so you don't have wait forever. Plus I imagine book 2 won't be such a literary disappointment of you can go right into next .

OMG... Alyssa Rose Ivy! This might be my favorite Pteron Series to date! I loved Hailey when I first read The Crescent Chronicles Series! This book picks up right where the first book left off.
Hailey has been captured by Veronica and needs to find a way to get back to Wyatt. In the meantime, Hailey have met new people and learned so much more about the flame. The one big shocker was meeting Wyatt's mother and learning more about her Hybrid powers. Now she needs to learn how to control them so she can get out of this maze.
Wyatt has been forced to turn into his dragon from by Veronica and she is trying to use him to kill Hailey and the other people who have been captured. Veronica's powers did not keep Wyatt under her control once he was around Hailey. Hailey can bring him back from her powerful spell.

Sometimes I think Hailey just likes to confuse Wyatt, “it’s not that having *** with you isn’t appealing.” She pressed her palm into my chest. “It’s really appealing.” I seriously love Wyatt and Hailey they're just adorable:
“Sorry.” He stepped toward me, reached out, and pulled me into his arms. “Giving you a hard time about things comes naturally.”
“As does my staring at your lower region, evidently,” I mumbled against his chest.
“After the experience we shared earlier, I think fixating on those parts is pretty normal. Plus, I ogle you all the time. Fair is fair.”
This cliffhanger wasn't as bad as the first book's so I was immensely pleased by that and I can't wait for more Wyatt and Hailey.

Alyssa Rose Ivy once again sucks you into the magical Pteron world by creating a story around our favorite heroine and best friend Hailey. Separated from her mate, Hailey must stop at nothing to save herself, her mate and The Society from a sinister group of witches and shifters. Ivy keeps you on the edge of your seat! Hailey has by far been one of my favorite characters since I first starting reading Ivy's novels. She is fun, feisty and loyal. Ivy features all those traits and so much more in Tempt, Book two in the Pteron Chronicles.

Vivacious, leaves me wanting more!
Book 2 in Hailey and Wyatt’s story and I loved it! I love Hailey and how she is adapting to her new gifts and how her bond with Wyatt grows. There’s definitely some heat in this story. A lot happens in this story and every turn leaves me guessing what’s next. It does leave you hanging in the end but I anxiously look forward to book 3.

Tempt...
Book 2 in the Pteron chronicles. I absolutely adore Hailey and Wyatt. This story gives you all the feels with all the extra drama, mystery, action and angst. Passionate and intense. No spoilers from me but I can't wait for the next installment.

Just as good as the fiest
I have ever book in this series...actually I've read all the books Alyssa Rose ivy has wrote and as per usual this did not disappoint. You need to read her books from the first full the end it's worth it.

Tempt is the Second book in The Pteron Chronicles, and wow things definitely get tense.
"𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙩 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙."
This was another thrilling book, alot happened in this one with Hailey adapting to her new hybrid powers, and half the gang still stuck in the maze and searching for Anastasia , and answers on the emerald and flame and god there are some bewildering discoveries . I love the fact that we had the return of some old characters, Glendale being one of them, my favourite helzin cat. He is such a cool character. I love his sarcasm and no care in the world attitude. Though deep down he cares for certain people. There were a few laugh and loud moments, especially with Hailey and Glendale. Wyatt is going through a lot of changes and oh wow, I love Wyatt even more now, if that's even possible, cause I loved his new discoveries. The gang work together, but the answers they find are devastating.

The ending of this book was jaw dropping like seriously what the hell is going on. I wanted more pages and chapters cause it wouldn't end there. We do get some answers and things begin to make more sense. Hailey's family history is wild, I love the surprises Aylssa put in this. There are still a lot of answers that need to be tyed up, I 'm hoping these do get answered for us cause, these secrets are driving me crazy. Exciting paranormal romance as always and bring on the final book Taken.

I enjoyed this book just not as much as book 1 as so much of the book was the gang getting out of the maze that Veronica put them in. I still loved the connection between Hailey and Wyatt and loved how much Wyatt respects Hailey’s strength even before she was given his mother’s powers and turned into a Lightness-Pteron Hybrid and yes he’s worried about her getting hurt but just agrees that he’ll stand beside her and fight and doesn’t try to push her behind him, he may offer to go in the lead a lot of the time but he doesn’t even ask her to stay behind. I’ve got a lot of unanswered questions after finishing this book like who is the Pteron with the black fedora who k*lled Hailey’s Great-Aunt Rose back in 1941 and resurfaced now, why was he annoyed when Hailey showed up and called her a Protector and asked why did they send her now, where’d everyone in the Crescent City Hotel disappear too and how will they get them back, how do Hunter and Anastasia get out of the maze, obviously Glendale will help and does Troy get his fire back from the Elders. I’m really surprised that Troy didn’t get hit with how annoying and pessimistic he was being and hopefully he gets a personality transplant if the Elders give him his fire back. I’m looking forward to getting these questions answered by reading the final book. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
